Title: Banning system unfair?
Post by: Hopefully temporary on March 06, 2018, 02:01:37 PM
Ok I know many people will say to ban me again for ban evasion or something but this is really unfair, I had a previous account username ShadowMaster45 and I got banned for no reason at all, I wrote a ban appeal and asked to be unbanned but no response for 2 weeks and then I wrote again and now 3 times I have written ban appeal, I don't even know why I'm banned? It has been 2 months since I have been banned and the only reason i can think of for getting banned is that I suddenly had a lot more activity than before... Earlier my account was not in use but suddenly I started using and then bamm I got banned and now I can't use bitcoin talk....

As I read in Meta, most of the Banning cases are because of 'Plagarism' I think you must accept the fact that you did something wrong. Read Forum rule #25 https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=703657.0  You can create new account for as long as you want but it will never help, you'll be fine if you move on, be positive.

on this forum it is very easy to break the rules that get you banned. need to very carefully read the rules, and always think a head.

Would you like to post a link to your banned account? I can probably tell you why you've been banned if you do. As far as ban evasion goes, if you've been banned, you are allowed to create a new thread in meta for the sole purpose of discussing your ban, however, you may not post anywhere else, or it is ban evasion.

Actually, if you use this forum as a forum, its exceedingly difficult to get banned. Really, spamming is at the core of just about every rule. Why people would think its acceptable to spam on a discussion forum is beyond me.

This forum wont ban you for having unpopular ideas, using offensive language, or being a jerk in general, so long as you are actually constructively posting and not trying to rank up accounts quick to earn money for signature campaigns. A lot of the "hidden rules" where people complain they didn't know about them are pretty common sense things.

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=1074866 ShadowMaster45

It's been nuked so you were probably spamming something that was breaking the rules.

It's not more sensitive. Every forum has their own rules and you have to follow it if you don't want to get a ban. If you will break the rules, it's likely that you will be banned, no matter it's bitcointalk or any other forum on this planet.

You wont be banned if you follow the rules and regulation of the forum because moderator are very strict on that mate. They are fair but if you do not want to follow the rules much better to stay away in this forum and find other forum which you can do what you want without restriction.

It's true that most members do not pay attention to all the rules and when they are banned, they will be aware and sometimes they do not know what they are doing so they feel they are not doing something forbidden, because moderators do not make banned accounts  unless they spam and break the rules. follow the rules

"More posts", I think you meant. Forum Activities are automatically updated every fortnight and no one can cheat with that.

so banning system is a robot? or did you get any email for banning reason?

AFAIK, not. Every ban is given manually by a moderator. In this cases (nuked), the ban reason is not written in the ban message. But in other cases, especially for a temporary ban, the reason (and the ban period) is written in the ban message box when you log into the account.

Ok but what about the fact that no one replying on the ban appeals email?

Are you sure you have not made a mistake?

I think the forum mod is not a person who does not know the regulations, they are professional and all forms of action that apply certainly in accordance with the facts and events that occur. Try to remember what you do, usually doing shitpost and spam being one of the main reasons, Believe that the forum has done its best. If you are not satisfied then you can try to report again, but again if the facts have been spoken then we can only accept all the consequences.

Shadow Master shows as "brand new" with 0 posts, but registered last July. Is that indicative of a ban, or just that all posts were deleted for some reason.

It's probably nuked by a mod so all the posts are gone. I'm not entirely sure if a nuked is done only in the case of a ban or not but it's definitely a mod action (or an automated action)

The moderators are genuine. Better just go through the rules and think what point you did not follow and thus you were banned? Sorry for it dude. I understand your pain but you have to accept it. At times when you rush your posts and the time gap between the posts do not meet the rules it is banned.

It seems that this isn't accurate anymore, although I may be wrong a lot people complain that they haven't received a reply from it for many months but, that might just be because their appeal isn't valid. Doesn't really matter for you though as you've posted in Meta about it so.

Banning is fair to us because you are not following the rules that's why you get banned. Why did I say it is fair? It fair because we are following the rules and you aren't so that's get punished.  I think that type of ban is permanently ban. Is farming account allowed? I think no.

if hire a hacker and hack into Your account that you have already used and it has merit, then are you sad That you will not be able to use it anymore and go back to it, like the author's theme?
