Im still newbie here and Im curious if some reliable sources predict way back 2016 that bitcoin and eth will increase 800% before the end of year 2017?
If yes what's his/her prediction before the end of 2018?

There is absolutely no human being that can predict 100% for sure what will happen to the crypto market.

Everything is based on news (whether it's good or bad), speculations and hype.

Many think that the cryptocurrency market (this year) will do better than last year but there is no way to really know for sure.

xireKT is right, nobody can predict the market specially when it comes to altcoins.
what can be done is some sort of speculation to get the closest thing, however. for example by the end of 2016 you could say that in a year price will be above $1000 and it can even reach $2000 if enough demand comes up. and you could say that based on history and speculation of the future based on that and also based on the adoption rate.

when the mass adoption in Japan happened you increase this rate that you speculated in 2016 and get a new one. when scaling debate ended you increase the speculation, and so on.
same is true right now.

what i want to tell you is that instead of looking for someone who made a "correct prediction" and following him like a zombie you should learn how the prediction itself works.

Predictions are only beyond positive and negative ideas, not totally all predictions become true, there are some predictions also nearly come true, because predictions are only made by people who access cryptocurrencies. And no one can predict exactly the real future of all cryptocurrencies, because the real future of cryptocurrencies are base on the total adaptation of cryptocurrency in the world.

But my question is about did some reliable source predict this before it happen?
For example: did someone in this forum predict that and posted here?
Because i want to know him and whats his/her prediction to this end of the year for my personal reasons.
Because if someone predict that before maybe his predictions are came up with deep studies about currency.

Every prediction is still speculation no knows for sure what will happen. Media news affects crypto space very well. The more good we hear regarding cryptos the more the price will go up but the more the bad news the more the price go down.

Nothing can be predicted because digital currency can only continue to be observed every minute of its development. The Nature of fluctuations will not be predictable.

By the way things are looking right now, as long as you didn't buy when the market cap was 800-900 billions USD you should be able to make good profit.
But, Ethereum right now is way up, maybe you should invest in some altcoins with potential.

So it happens in general, you can immediately take 2009 and from this year bitcoin and began its growth so far there are ups and downs but still one can predict only one growth.

The 2018 prediction will increase much for the ETH. because the development is quite good and dominant significant. still up and down.

I think no one should predict a Ethereum because Ripple is dominating one time in future most of the coins are comes in the list so we will wait and see the future crypto market and Ethereum is strong foundation so it will raise slowly in the market. All the crypto traders are afraid in the current situation we will support in Bitcoin all the altcoins are back to form so I am always support Bitcoin.

If someone with a fortune ball could tell this then everyone would have been millionaires. Some people do technical analysis and were saying a formation of some cup and handle which would indicate bullish trends. But again these analysis are made after the price increase rather than before.

The best bet for price increase is to invest yourself in coins that you believe are really going to sustain in the future due to their technology. Small coins like REQ will go way higher once they are implemented and developers do well. If you are regretting of not investing in ETH, you can try ICX and I feel it is going to be like ETH sooner.

I also think that the year for Ethereum will be very herosim, as many upgrades this project and he's coming to the masses

The market will increase by the good news. I dont belive TA in cryptocurrencies. But in this year i bet on the Etherium, i think this coin will show us how to get to the moon )

why should you look at the past should we look at the future talk prediction yes I think all the predictions are not 100% true I live just as long as the world of crypto or altcoin is still running more developed even better

I predicted that bitcoin will go to 20 000 in january 2018. I dont have any but i remember in a drunk talk with some friends that i told them about bitcoin and this price.
Let me get drunk again and i`ll come back to you with my prediction for this year end.

This is as reliable as any prediction can be because nobody can predict a price for a coin in such a long range. Even in stock market there is no prediction. This kind of stuff is for gambler who like to get some hope from scam sites that do predictions.

According to probability theory, there are such projects. But there is no sense in their predictions, since the fact that they guessed the result once does not guarantee success in guessing the next result. The market is unpredictable and no one can see the future.

2016 is the season where bitcoin is rising til 2017. I don't know if bitcoin will still come back to its peak price just like last year. ETH is a nice crypto to invest right now but there is still bitcoin that might someday make its comeback in the market.

Well this is true. No one can predict the price of Bitcoin or Altcoins because crypto world is very volatile unlike Forex abd Stocks. But there are some experts out there do their TA's but still just a speculation but still it's just speculation sometimes they almost hit the price and sometimes not especially crypto reacts of any new and fud always.

Investors are not physics. We are all making investments based on our gathered knowledge through the time. With the proper skill of recognizing the right opportunities, the investor can make a nice profit but the prediction as such is pointless because every day brings something different.

Prediction can be made based on a couple of days cycle but the prediction for the whole year and after is just pure guessing. Everyone can do guesses but no one can actually predict the future.

No one knows what will gone happen in the crypto market,prediction is based on the ups and downs in the market,they predict on how they see the things.
