Title: What do you think about CLO?
Post by: greeklogos on March 06, 2018, 07:07:02 PM
I have sold all my coins that I had on my balance to buy ETC to participate in recent Calypso's fork. Current price is 1,6$, what do you think - is it worth to hold it or better to exchange on some oldy like WAVES or any other like that?

The news about the coin are generally good (if we don't consider the fact of bittrex not supporting it), but what bothers me is that I can't find there official website, while it is essential for the project to have a good one.
Okay, I found their site, where it is said to be a temporary webpage, but anyway, I'll check it out. Callisto tries to make smart contracts secure, which is truly a problem with eth. If they succeed it will be a good coin. But where is their team? Why is it not shown to the public? This is a bit fishy imo.

I got Callisto, too, but I haven't sold it yet. For those who have ETC was on the wallets, the planned distribution of CLO on March 23.

Did you sold back your ETC? I've manage to sell it few blocks after the fork with 500 sat profit :)

CLO may reach 4-5 dollars, but we must see some actions from devs and support of few big exchanges.

I think that this is an unsuccessful project. The price of this coin has fallen very quickly and I don't believe that it will recover. As for me, the most reasonable decision is to sell this coin. But who knows, there always can be surprises at this market))

You got it all wrong mate. The fork was Callisto (CLO) not Calypso's fork and the snap ought to happen yesterday but I don't know if the fork have replay protection. However, the coin holder are said to earn interest for holding the coin for long enough(at least a month or 2). But don't be blind by this to the extent of investment too much.

Yeah, I sold ETC almost right away and exchanged it back to ETH and LTC, which are favorites in my list of alts.

Yes, now I see that I mistaken in the name, but it's new coin and probably I watched the Pirates of Caribian too much  :D Actually I also do not have any big expectations about CLO price, I think I will hold it a little till the price will not reach at least 4$.

CLO has no price for now, they haven't been distributed.

What is on Yobit is sort of future, not to say scam. It's based on nothing.

For now, they didn't work on the exchange subscription, they focus on the mainnet dev that should be done by end of March.

Ok and you're lucky though cause I don't hear about the fork on time. However, you will have a better profit if you could hold the coin for 2 months and it already listed on Yobit (https://yobit.net/en/trade/CLO/BTC) exchange.

Is that means if there are two forks were happening in this month in ethereum classic? It looks like a horrible thing. ETC was definitely doesn't know about these hardforks. The team has announced that in a single tweet on the official twitter, because if you are willing to buy etc due to the fork coin and then it will become useless if you are holding it.

I think the predicted CLO price that many appear on the internet is pure speculation, Its their own opinion.
This are all just speculations so the decision will still be yours.

In my opinion the team managed the airdrop extremely unprofessional. They tried to reach out the Bittrex the first time two days before the drop and Trex rejected it. :(

Why? They make snapshot. Now mainnet is not starting. About what they need to contact with Bittrex? And all that we hear are from Bittrex team only.
Callipso technically is not exist now. On Yobit it is any token that yobit team give own members

The thing that bittrex not supporting CLO is enough reason for me not to join airdrop. Though I have joined lots of airdrop during snapshots, without bittrex support, it will be hard for them to get listed in good exchange.

The hard fork was the reason why ETC again some pump in price and I'm sure that the ETC team knew about the hard fork cause it already targeted that the fork will happen when ETC 5,500,000 block is miner and the coin is said separate blockchain.

I think it will be a great project in 2018 and I also bought some Ethereum Classic to participate in the airdrop but I forgot send my coins out of Bittrex... I saw to late that trex will not support the fork :(
