For the longest time, real estate remains to be the most reliable investment, but only the rich can afford this type as it requires huge capital investment. Bitcoin on the other hand is investment for all, no matter how small or big your investment, you can do bitcoin. In terms of long term profitability, real estate varies on the development of a certain area, Bitcoin on the other hand have proven to be a very successful long term investment growing from just 100$ to as much as $19k in just 7 years.

Real estates are not an easy business and you got to have a pretty significant amount of money to start buying some properties. I would say you need at least 100.000$ to buy 4-5 apartments and start renting them. With bitcoin you can start with just 5000$ and buy when there is a crash. With bitcoin you can double your money in just a few months, while with real estates you need at least 5 years to get your money back and get in profit after that. Even though with real estates you need a lot of time to get your money back and start making profit they are a lot safer because you you are almost guaranteed to earn some money every month from renting them. With bitcpin nothing is sure and you could wait a few months for the price to go up.

Depends on how much money you have and what your goals are.  There are areas in the US where you can buy a clean house (not a slum) for <$150K and rent it out for $1500/month.  You won't get rich overnight but your mortgage will be covered with money to spare.  Plus it's a hard asset unlike Bitcoin.
Try doing that with Bitcoin.

Real estate is how to say proven to work and if you buy apartment/house in some busy town you should be "safe". Bitcoin might be attractive now but if we ever see stable price and huge adoption then real estate will be the thing better than bitcoin. Bitcoin is high risks investment while real estate has proven to work and if done right can generate you stable income. But as other have mentioned you really have to have huge money to start with real estate while entry point for crypto is really low.

Real estate is much profitable in terms of returns in the long term. But the question is how many people have such huge capital outlay to start real estate? I think Bitcoin has the advantage of attracting investors with little capital irrespective of price fluctuations

Real estate as it has been said requires a heavy investment upfront. Bitcoin and cryptos do not necessarily. Have a look at this site:

https://bitscreener.com/screener

Look at the column at the far right. You will see that some coins, such as Nano at number 16 have increased more than 9300% in the last six months. Real estate would NEVER be this lucrative in such a short term.

And as you can see, basically every single coin in the top 100 has increased in value a lot in the past six months.

Hence, my choice goes for BTC/cryptos without a doubt.

I'd like to know where you can buy houses with rental potential for $20,000 each? Tell me right now.

In any case, I think you are comparing apples and oranges, bitcoin has a lot of potential to massively spike in value in the short term, but it is highly volatile and risky to hold long term. Whereas rental properties are much less volatile, but have significantly less ROI. The smart option is to diversify your investments and do both.

Real estates are not an easy business

Real estate is actually an incredibly easy business. It involves only basic accounting. All labor is contracted out, including realty. It involves virtually no work whatsoever unless you are a hands-on slumlord type who is trying to pinch pennies. And as housing/rental prices continue to skyrocket across the U.S. (as they have for decades), the risk of buying with a mortgage has been incredibly low.

Personally, I'd wait for some blood before I'd buy.

If you have a huge capital that will enough to invest on real state, then go for it because it's more secured than investing to bitcoin. But the good thing on investing to bitcoin is, you don't have to invest a huge amount but you might still gain a huge profit like what you've earn on investing on real state. But the problem is, we don't know what exactly will happen to bitcoin, if it's soar higher than what we've expected? Or dump until it goes to zero value.

they are both profitable in their own ways, but with Bitcoin rapid adoption it could beat real estate in terms of profit but it's worth to have a portfolio on both, they are different in some ways but I consider bitcoin much easier to manage than real estate.

Everything will depend on the purchasing power of the person, Investing in real estate is an excellent idea, especially when you have already bitcoin profits, of which part of those profits you want to make them tangible and diversify your income. However, if you only have a small capital which you want to increase this option is not so profitable, the best thing would be to diversify your portfolio by buying high-potential but low-cost cryptos and increase your bitcoins tenure, especially in these moments. It is still a good time for its purchase.

This is why I have investment in real estate too not only with bitcoin. Here in my place, it's commercialized so real estate is in good demand and it's value is really increasing yearly.

I won't compare these two precious investments. What I can suggest is its the best decision if one who wants to be successful is by having both of it. Real estate will stay and its up to you if you want to use it as a rental business or you want to live on it, it's an asset just pay it in full so that you won't suffer monthly due fees. While in bitcoin, it's passive income if you know how it really works.

Bitcoin and Real estate are on opposite sides of the spectrum. Both would occupy a part of your portfolio and this definitely is not an 'Either-Or' question. Personally, I would be comfortable even if more than half of my portfolio was in the form of real estate. With Bitcoin, anything more than 5-10% (valued on a cost basis) would be considered too high.

Why not invest in both if you can afford it? Both I believe are good investments and have their pros and cons. In real estate, you may rent out your property in order to make some profit. Bitcoin is easier to sell and liquidate. Many invest in real estate because they know that the value of land would accrue in the future. Bitcoin's price would also continue to increase for the coming years so it's best to invest into both.

Both bitcoin and real estate are not easy business, there are advantages and disadvantages, it takes time to earn, well it depends to you where can you afford to purchase, if you have big capital then go with real estate, if you cant then go with bitcoin, here you can start without any big amount required just be wise and knowledgeable in here then you can earn a big profit and for that you can invest in real estate, thats the thing.

It depends on the budget really as real estates could get very very expensive in some countries. The only advantage I see in real estates is they are somehow immune from depreciation as long as you have pick a good location where there are no fault lines and has a lot of potential in terms of urban development the growth will be exponential. Also I wouldn't pick up a loan from a bank just to invest in a real estate as I don't have a stable job as of the momemtn. For me who does not have a lot of money the best thing left is of course trading and investing in the stock market or the cryptocurrency market which does not require a lot of money to get started in order to earn from your capital.

It depends on your priority. If you just want some long term investments without such a load of paper works, then choose to invest in Bitcoin. On the other hand, if you want some investments which you can use physically for your own housing necessity then choose real estate. But if you can do both, its much better.

it will always depend on where you live and what the state of Real Estate market is and this forum is global! it is not always good and it is not good everywhere. for example in some countries it is dumb to invest in Real Estate where the prices don't move or even drop, it can even be in a bubble in some countries.
at the same time in some countries, mostly the developing ones, investing in Real Estate is a very good investment. in fact it is one of the mot common investments in these places. it is even said that if you take a loan from a bank and buy a house it is still worth it and it really is, since prices are going up more than the rate that the bank is charging you!

You can buy bitcoin in fractions but you can't buy real estate in fractions. How much is ready to be delivered?
Think of what is more advantageous in your position, consider your country and location.
There are countries that are valuing more real estate and that's the best investment for them and ignores bitcoin.

This is a bitcoin forum so majority be biased on that. So don’t expect that 25% will choose real state over bitcoin. I can do both and be good with it, in my experience but for now, money capitals for property is much more than in cryptocurrency. So I’ll stick to it because you can afford to invest as big as you choose and smaller the other way, but the profit possibility is huge.

Real Estate has always been a very good investment. If you invest in real estate you will have an assurance that your investment will profit over time while in bitcoin there's no assurance when will you profit due to its volatility.

But in my own opinion, I prefer investing in bitcoin because I believe in its technology and the benefits it can give to its investors specially when its value pumps up. Investing in bitcoin is like a lottery for me. You invest a small amount and it can make you millions if the value skyrockets. This is just my own opinion though. I'm not an expert when it comes to bitcoin but there's just so much fun and thrill seeing your investments go up and down.

It's always good to diversify your investments. If OP knew that, he wouldn't ask "Bitcoin or Real estate" but rather: "More bitcoin or more real estate?"

If you know both Bitcoin and Real Estate are solid investments, then if you were safe, smart, then you'd invest in both for a well-balanced, diversified portfolio.

Same here, bitcoin can give a return of income double or more of our funds. When you invest on a real estate you have a huge funds on this because of expensive rate. Actually more users invest in bitcoin because of the chance that can earn profit than real estate it may take years for you to earned.

Knowing that crypto is just a virtual investment, and it could be possible that it won't last so long and it's price are so volatile. Likely, real estate won't have such volatility, in fact it's price are continuously growing.

Small amount of money : Crypto ez bet
Large amount of money : Real estate for safe bet
I started crypto in may last year with 3000$ ( hell yeah you cant do much with this money in real estate business )
In january this year i predicted the market will be on downtrend for a long time ( its prettt easy to predict after that huge rally from nov to jan , everything went parabolic ....) so i cashed out 80% , invest inreal estate business with my profit and its doing pretty good right now .
20% money left i threw into Ico in which ill believe it gonna be huge later this year. , my money still there , i still have an oppurtunity, if i cash out 100% so id have no chance to be rich... , crypto market is quite young at the moment and i dont think its gonna die soon.

An investment in real estate is low-risk. However, you have to wait a long time for profits. Bitcoin is highly risky, but can give a big profit in a shorter amount of time. But you can also suffer large losses. It all depends on the propensity to risk.

Believe me, there are more risks in bitcoin than any other traditional asset. But bitcoin is only at the beginning of its journey. He has great prospects. Technically, Bitcoin is considered to be a high risk investment, but this also depends on your personal definition of high risk. If you expose yourself to the short term fluctuations, then you can definitely say that it involves an extreme level of risk. If you are planning to hold your coins for the long term, and are well aware of how everything works in this market, you can even see it as a low risk investment. Especially if it for you personally comes with the added benefit of functioning not only as safe haven asset, but also as a way to directly get rid of any centralized entity standing between you and your desire for financial freedom. I fit in that category, and have been like that from the very beginning. It's more than an investment option for me.

I think investing in bitcoin can indeed get a bigger profit but behind getting a bigger profit there must be also the highest risk you can lose the investment, but if you are more confident invest that can menjajikan real estate better you think first ,, which one will make you more confident between bitcoin or real estate ??

The value of Real Estate has been increased a lot in the past few years. After the major dip in the crypto market a lot a people are wondering if investing in Real estate is a better investment then BTC. The charts (https://www.coinranker.net/cryptocurrency/bitcoin) for Bitcoins is showing some up and downs and it happens that right now the BTC is losing -6%.

What are your thoughts?
This investment vehicle of a real state is suitable for the conservative-kind of investor. If your financial goal is long-term (5 years or more) and you like to play it safe, then this is the better option for you.

Bitcoin option have more benefits, like real estate investments have more hidden expenses.
Bitcoin is better investment cause all you need to do is to buy Bitcoin and to keep it in safe
wallet. There is nothing else that we need to do.
Real estates and vehicles needs documentation, many papers, and when you done with all
that you need to invest in new look, fixintold problems, painting, many things. After all that you
need to sell it and to have more documents, more meetings with people who wish to buy it.
And this is short description, in reality investing in Bitcoins is easier, in real estates harder.

I would choose the bitcoin investing because I'm sure this will be very beneficial in the future in the future despite price bitcoin usually varies but this does not affect my mind to chose it especially now that bitcoin is already recognized to make it easier to get the right benefits within long term or short term it could be if we could figure out the trick to get the profit

I think you need to consider the returns of your money, in bitcoin the price will spike in bigger as you will get a profits in just few days of investing. While at real state you need to wait at more years to sold those properties until you get your profits. Although here in bitcoin the risk is much higher and that risk is part of the game in bitcoin investment.

I don't know why you are comparing bitcoin with real estate.Bitcoin is far better than real estate, you will get double or triple of invested money in bitcoin. But it's very hard to get double of the invested profit in Real estate. So I will choose the Bitcoin rather than a real estate to get huge profit .

I'll go for bitcoin, why I choose it? Real state investment apparently become increasingly popular in the last 50 years and also common investment vehicle. In terms of Real Estate Investment Groups are sort of like small mutual funds for rental properties, in case you don't want to be hassle as being a landlord.

So basically, "a single investor can own one or multiple units of self-contained living space, but the company operating the investment group collectively manages all the units, taking care of maintenance, advertising vacant units and interviewing tenants. In exchange for this management, the company takes a percentage of the monthly rent".

So this can take up some time for your ROI while in bitcoin investment you can just buy it then hold or sit it to your trusted wallet and wait for it to accumulate profits. This conclude that I'll rather go for bitcoin than real state but in the future I think I will also invest in real state when I make huge profit thru bitcoin.

You need BOTH.

With Bitcoin, you are just sitting on an asset, it doesn't give you dividends or anything, you are just hoping it goes up in price, which it will, but still, it's good to diversify.

With real estate, if you have a nice house, you can rent it and basically make a living off renting it, since it will cover all of your expenses for the month, this will give you an extreme peace of mind. A nice house or a flat in a nicely located place will always have queues of people wanting to get in. And in a period in which no one is renting it, you can still live in there.

I would love to see Bitcoin go 6 figures so I can buy a property just with a single BTC and hold the rest. Of course, I would need to pay massive taxes on 6 figure gains, so in order to cover taxes, I will most likely need to cash out 2 BTC... I hope we can get to 6 figures in the next years since it's pretty realistic.

This two are different kind of investment, we can never compare a tangible stuff to a non-tangible one, they have different advantage and disadvantages.  But if you ask me, why would I choose one when I can venture to both of them.  And there is this saying also that we should not put all our egg in one basket, so having 2 different venture is way better than having one only.  So I am saying I would love to venture in both Bitcoin and Real Estate.

The real estate market is cyclical and typically rises for years and declines for years. Since the crash of 2008/09, real estate has continued to appreciate. No one knows when the top will be in, but there will be a point where real estate starts to decline.

BTC is still relatively new and there not too much history. But it should continue to increase as money continues to be debased as well as increased worldwide adoption.

It's hard to compare this two since both investments works in a different way but in terms of profit i think when crypto market once becomes bullish again it can easily outshine any kind of investment but if you want a secure way of getting profit in the future i think that goes to real estate.

I think if you already understand how the workings of the world of crypto better you invest dibitcoin because the capital you spend is not as much as real estate and the benefits you get are very promising. but if you have not understood it would be better to invest in real estate and learn more about how the world works crypto. this way when you already have capital again, you are ready to invest in bitcoin and you will not be afraid of failure, because you already understand how to get profit in the world of crypto.

Why choose if you can have both? While everybody has their own arguments about this issue, why not hit two birds with one stone. We can do trading of Bitcoins. When the bitcoin goes up, you can sell and invest it in real estate.

Bitcoin really don't have given us a 100% guarantee of staying with us for many years,  not exactly we can depend on for the whole life.  But it can be done of having a real stock investment, though the prices and it's gaining percentage are too far but at least we can take this forever and it can be left into our next generation.

the biggest difference is that people will always need real estate , and bitcoin can be replaced in a very short time . And a crash in real estate is much easier to survive if you are not forced to sell. since typically the value tends to go back up if you just wait it out.

For me I will choose real estate as the first investment, because real estate profit will increase fast and many people need real estate.
Bitcoin is still more profitable more than gold, need to keep and hold bitcoin to earn more profit and the price is not stable yet.
For me real estate is still the first and best choice for now.

In real estate you can have a stable passive income and it could also appreciate over a period of time. In bitcoin, due to its unpredictability and volatility, your emotions, patience, and greed will be tested thoroughly before you gain profit from it. I suggest you invest in both for diversification but you have to understand and manage the risks involved. Consult a registered financial planner if you can't understand it yourself.
