If your life depended on you choosing one altcoin to go all in on for one year, what would altcoin would you choose?

I would go with XLM.

I actually agree with you there about XLM.

IMO it has a lot of potential and would by off by the end of the year.

I don't know much about XLM I think I will have to start to investigate. My choice would be Omisego I think the project has massive potential and they should be launching their own network within the next few months.

All in-ing sounds too dangerous and risky, regardless of the coin.

remember one option is not the best solution. what if it fails? then you have no choice but to get a loss.
make it some of investment, so you have a backup if it fails. be a smart person in investing, then you will always profit.

Still stick to ETH if it's about alt coins, there's so damn many project out there using their smart contract while atheneum's competitor have nowhere reached that huge real world adoption of the smart contract or platform. However going all in into an alt coin is definitely not a wise choice.
To be real, would still diversify my portfolio but still we're discussing about the main question right. XLM in my opinion is well, not that interesting, but still have the potential to skyrocket. At least unlike ripple which always stick at its rate range.

Its not would its DID and verge (xvg) simply because of how private it is now with the new wraith

I'll go for Ethereum as it is the most widely platform for new startups doing their ICO's.

Even if the project is 99% good, I will never go to All IN, because I believe that this can not be done, because in our time even this 1% can be scam. Therefore, in any case, I will divide the investment into 3 portions and I advise you to do the same.

I think not like what you think. it is about the knowledge and observations you have made. so, you can look for good options for some altcoin and of course bitcoin. there are many interesting altcoins, eth, ripples and waves. so you can trade or hold for a long time.

It's hard to put all eggs in one basket so if you don't wanna regret it later then think this 1000 times. Good diversion of coin is like saving your life in danger, you must have a backup so you still have something if things messed up. Of course, I believe in eth capabilities but it doesn't necessarily mean than I'll just only invest here. Maybe a big part of my folio will consist of it and some will be trx, ada and plr.

I agree with all the participants who says about diversification of investment. That's the basic rule.
But if I really had to choose 1 alt I'd choose ETH for now.
I'll research your XLM and may be I'll change my mind :)

I think yet to best altcoins means bitcoin ethereum bch and litecoin also! also you can prefer ripple for almost 1 year holding.

Really? Why XLM? Any specific reason?
I think, XLM too many whales right now. The price is very hard to predict, even using three indicators.

I see a lot of people talking about portfolio diversification. Don't get me wrong, the golden rule is never go ALL IN on one coin, however the main point of this post is to see you guys' choices if you had to make that choice. With that said, I never go all in and keep a very diversified portfolio.

I don't expect anyone ever to go ALL IN, lol. This was more of me getting a consensus around the forum here about which coins you guys all like and would choose in an event like that. :)


Because I don't feel like XLM has really had its time to shine yet. Day trading it can be cumbersome, but holding it has massive potential. A specific reason would be that its partnerships alone mean lot for Stellar. It has some very solid backers/partnerships.

Same with ADA, too many whales. Same with TRX, too many whales. List can go on with how many whales are in every different coin.

Yes, a good choice but I have not yet one project disclosed with the potential. EQUI is my number one.

To invest all your funds in one project is a bad idea. Never invest all your funds in one project. Always minimize your risks and divide your deposit into several parts. Do not store all eggs in one basket.

I am confused, because I can not choose and live with 1 altcoin. I must choose the crypto king and his partner, he is  ETH.

but I also see there are other altcoins that have good growth like NEO and Ripple. and I am interested in both. even i have little.

if in my opinion it is better all altcoin to hold it because the potential of each altcoin is very different and that is the thing that we should be analyzing as well as possible so it's better to look at all the altcoin we have.

I know. I can not choose one that I would live with for a year either. However if you put a gun to my head and made me, it would be XLM.

Not saying that anyone ever goes all in, I just like to see what you guys would choose in the event that someone made you choose. Not that it will ever happen though, lol.

This question caused many doubts in me but after a long think i can choose ethereum. Especially in 2018, i hope it achieve 2000 dollars to end this year

XLM is a good altcoin with low price :). I think it's the best choice for trader or holder has small amount of money to be able to invest in crypto. But XLM is not the only good one, IMO I think XRP is also very good to invest all your money in, it has high rank on the coinmarketcap, high trading volume, good potential in the future but the price is not really high so I think it's also a good choice :D

Can you give us any good reason why XLM? though it is possible if i will have to choose an altcoin that will save my arse for a year it would be NEO,it is growing massively because most of the investors has opened their eye that neo has a better platform than ethereum it has more advance technology than eth that is why it is more future proof.

Partnerships, technology advances this coming year, adoption through actual applications, etc.

The one thing that ETH has going for it is smart contract portion. A lot of ERC20 tokens/coins have/are being released based off the smart contract ideology, which makes ETH as attractive as it is.

NEO is another solid choice too!

You have left me with no other option.I would choose ETH.Its the most trusted in Atlcoins and its project is very unique and long term.Powered by efficient and well experience developer team and i am sure that it will keep expanding as the backup team behind its project is ready to improve all the debugs and keep it up to date.Due to the features i can say that i  can trust this for long term.Corporations and major developers are utilizing ETH for everyday processes in this way ETH demand is increasing which will certainly hike in its price.On basis of my information i can say with full confidence ETH is the best in ALCOINS.

I will gamble on some low price altcoins. Like APPCOINS. This coin is one of the better coins that is release recently. This coin will be use by apptoide.

Stellar is very good project, but I will NEVER EVER go all in on a single coin! This is the sure path to bankruptcy, soon or a later.

Max I'm going with 10% of my money and only that high if the project is exceptional.

All in is a no-go for pretty much everything, not only in coins!
Spread your risks, even if you are more than 100% convinced of the project.
Too much can happen, even if it's not the project's fault (hacks, uninfluenceable circumstances ...).

XLM is really good, but I'd choose NEO. The project develops just great and it is good price to get in now. There are more and more ICO projects. Plus they are going to make dex soon.

Definitely Zilliqa, or NEO. I personally believe that these have by the far the most potential of all the altcoins I've personally researched. However, I wouldn't go all into either of these, as all in to a highly volatile market is a very poor decision, and one I would not recommend that you make.

I rarely go all in on any altcoin. If I am to go all in  on any altcoin, that altcoin will be ethereum. Ethereum is established, serious and driven and supported by many brilliant known developers! There is also a clear path to many of ethereum future development!

I would choose ETH. It is a coin that can give good profits and small risks. I invested the bulk of the deposit in this coin because I believe in it.

Well I would all in on BitWhite. I dont know but price is already on deep level. And I see dev team works very well. I am waiting for a significant rise on price of BTW. It could be a coin which is not popular now. So bitwhite could be a good choice.

Good question. I have a lot of alts and it's hard for me to choose one coin. It seems to me that each of the coins has its own advantages. But probably I would choose NEM. Now this project looks very promising and within a year it will show itself.

I will go ethereum, why i chosse ethereum? my reason ethereum is safe among us coins because there are have positive strong coins as second placer from bitcoin.. They possible earn much profits because the expectations for ethereum for this year grow their price in the marketcap.

If it's just for the fun, then my choice is Pundi X (PXS).

Because they are having a working product and 7%+ monthly airdrop for holders. This will compensate the price drop, if any in long term.

In my opinion, it is better to make your own research and trust your guts.

The most of the privacy coins are undervalued right now.

The best opportunity is to find a privacy-related project with a low total supply (less than 100M), that way the price will be increasing much faster.

I recently found one project called Ethereum Meta, it is related to anonymity and untraceable transaction. They have a very interesting project to build the Anonymous E-Market Place.

Think that LTC is the best choice  :).Look at the schedules of its growth and think one more time - which altcoin is the best for investing all your money.
