next time don't bag hold altcoins taht are in a bubble and will get dumped hard as soon as the whales find an opportunity to exit. try and look for coins that have been getting pumped and invest in those instead of mindlessly holding on tight to certain "names" that are big.

The whales are getting into pretty much any coins that's out there. It's impossible to know which coins are going to skip having whales jump on.
Diversification of the portofolio is the solution. And right now it's natural for the market to go down.

You should get used to it, aside from market correction, theres a lot of fud and negative news about Bitcoins lately, those with weak hands dumped their coins thinking thats its the end of Bitcoin, specially those who bought when Bitcoin reached ath back in December, and here we are now, price is moving sideways lately.

It is not April yet. Maybe it wont even take that long for the market to go up again. I am not sure how the bubbles in stocks and property and hm a possible rise of protectionism will effect blockchain, but I think for the time being you are invested in the right space.

I expected the marked to go by now. However everytime it looks like market is recovering it is going down again. Nevertheless I am positive that mayority of alts will surpass their ATH.

It’s not much blood bath last month even bad dump happened where bitcoin traded 6k+ now market recovered atleast trading bitcoin above 10 k . It’s normal even some of my equity stocks are also in huge red mark. So wait if you can afford or cut your loss .As you said HODL who got succeed in crypto currency.

Indeed that was worse but now we approach mid of march and a lot of people were expecting the market to come back. Right now the marketcap has fallen again below 350 billion which a lot of people believed would not happen again for a long time.

Why the recent dip? A lot of people are wondering. Was it the Binance hack? Apparently not, as it was not a real hack.
Sometimes there no real reason and the market just tanks. In fact, there were very positive new yesterday.

In the state of Arizona, Bitcoin is now legalized to be able to pay government taxes!
This would be a big precedent in labeling Crypto as legal tender in USA.

Is this news significant enough to ignite the next bull run?

Mt gox has been selling their bitcoins these days plus some panic selling is happening now which is bringing down the price rapidly. Chart is showing double top pattern which is a bearish sign so BTC might go down below $7500 once though I don't think it's gonna see $6000 again.

Always the best thing to do at times like this. Reds are normal and sometimes, we just cannot predict them, but as long as you are holding strong coins, you should always be fine. I am sure the OP after the holiday must have been hoping to come back to see the market back and expect everything to be all green and huge. Buy more now when all is still red and get more profit when they all turn green as the market cannot be red forever.

No nothings over. Its just a Japanese man playing with the Mt. Gox coins. The trustee handling the Mt. Gox coins has been dumping those coins on exchanges which is causing the Bitcoin price to crash. And as we all know when Bitcoin dumps alts dump.

If you get involved in crypto, be ready always because you are going to see a roller coaster ride with crypto prices. Wen I joined last year, I was also very worried when bitcoin  hit almost 3k, but after that it manages to rise back. The point here is that if you just have patience, you will definitely still see the prices going green any time.

It takes time, be patient, at the end, it's your decision if you want to sell all of your coin,
but as a trader, i will tell you that you need to hodl, restrain yourself before you sell all of your coin.

That is the reason why the whales will always win and most of us are just tag along. I understand how much the whales will always have a good time having their fun with some of these alts in the long run, either in the bear moment or bull moment, but the only safe way is to know when to just opt out, rather than trying to gamble anything.

A lot of us have learned this lesson from the past and while everyone keeps shouting HODL, which is good, but sometimes, the whales just make it unbearable and you start asking if it was worth holding after all or learning how to trade to utilize those moments to your benefit.

Read before tried say anything about that. Due to the recent dump caused by the mtgox. Market was dying and a lot of people are scared to see the latest chart of crypto. It's not only FUD and the fact more than 30k of bitcoin has been dumping to the market. SEC news doesn't mean a lot to the crypto right now. Binance hack looks not exchange fault because that's only affected those are using automated trading bot. fake news give a little scary to those to jump again in the crypto.

this is what happen in previous year itself. same as like that all altcoins price was decreased. so i think better you hold it for a some time. then you decide to keep the altcoin or sale it.

No need to panic, I think the situation is stable under the summer and we will see the growth of major coins and catch up and others.

Sorry I just had to laugh on that one even though we have been in red days and honestly, the only thing now is just to laugh and wait it out. It pretty much sucks anyway and it starts giving the feelings that maybe sometimes, just sometimes it is good to hold in fiat and wait for the perfect moment to buy after all. I would not blame those who wait for a bull rally to get in, since sometimes; you may even buy in dip and still end up seeing more dip. However, it will recover and that is the only thing that has always kept the long term holders going anyway.

The market has indeed taken a fallout trip once again and there are not just people that have been on the holidays disappointed and surprised; other investors which have actually tracked charts on a daily basis are also in the panic because this red mark lasts for a while now.

You will probably hold it a little bit more just like the rest of us but I truly understand your concerns about the current situation that has overtaken the currently bloody market.

Its already known that crypto markets and prices are always volatile, if you re expecting that the prices will stay high or only going up all the time you re wrong, or you haven't good idea about crypto currencies. However this volatility is very attractive for so many investors, because they know the prices will go up after some time even if its red now.

You know, I watch all the time the pressure is on bitcoin. Many bad news, marshals are selling confiscated bitcoin, the owners of a bankrupt stock exchange are thrown out thousands of bitcoins for sale, countries ban Btc, etc. However, bitcoin does not die, nothing happens to it. Well fell in price, so what? In a month it will recover in price will go up. Nothing to worry about.

This year with Last year the market is very different situation, last year could be holding is best way to make money but now trading can be more profitable, because all crypto in down trend and long consolidation. Have you see this first time? It happens many times before and it happens in future also. The market is in consolidation mode now and you can see a big jump anytime. This is a normal thing for money markets and one positive or negative news makes huge impact on it.

This blood bath will over after some time as some bad news are circulating in the market and this is the effect of that. When that news effect over, it will start moving to upper direction and you will see whole market in green.

every few weeks market is super red nothing new, just dont refresh market every day, check once in 5 years and then you will be ok.

we are in a bear market at the moment. we had a long bull run which came to an end in December there is not much confidence in the market, all the newbies joined in December at ATH got burned badly and now they are not going to touch this space easily.

on top of that FUD keeps coming in every week or the other so it will take time for BTC  to stabilise followed by the altcoins. so HODL :)

Lol, If you so dissapointed, then you should have everything in euros or usd, and as this low as you are saying then you should buy, at these low prices, but you must remember, you will never allways buy at the lowest and never will you sell at the highest price... It is due to some negative news from many countries regarding cryptocurrency and it  happening many times in past, not first time. Nowadays market is running in consolidation mode and it can recover back sharply anytime, so it is the time for buy in low price and maybe not available too low price in future.

That is the mistake a lot of people make, and I have also made it before anyway. It is always good to get out from alts when everyone is busy buying anyway, so I have learnt over the years, one way or the other, when there is a massive deep correction, they always get to drop pretty fast and once you can wait it out, that can give you an edge to buy back much lower. It is one of those things anyway, but the market always seems to recover at the end of it all one way or the other.

You know it can be painful a little bit after a sweet holiday when you have had yourself refreshed, only to get back, check your folio and there you see a huge loss.

I am sure he is not used to the red days but over time, he will get used to it and as long as he is not holding any shit coins, I believe he should be fine. This streets has been real bloody and messy, and a lot of investors have been worrying and panicking, but I don't think this is the time for that, rather let's make a chance outta this, and buy more coins at a cheaper rate, for better returns when the prices climb up again. 

Altoins are bleeding heavier than the market. When the market turns into bullish there is a good chance that they will recover as well, but some shitcoins will never fully recover again.
