What is it?

MyExchange is a ready to use Bitcoin exchange site which utilizes PHP, and HTML along with Twitter Bootstrap for a beautiful and responsive site design. Using the site, you can accept Bitcoins, and exchange them to ANY other payment methods such as PayPal, Dwolla, Perfect Money, WMZ... The possibilities are endless! It is ideal for established currency exchangers, or those new to the game looking to start their own exchange.

How does it work?

The customer will fill out the exchange form, and be prompted to send Bitcoins to a payment address. They will be given a unique invoice ID which can be used to track their order. After the invoice is paid for, you can send the correct payment to the customer.

Invoice information and status is available in the admin panel. The Blockchain.info Exchange Rates API (https://blockchain.info/api/exchange_rates_api) is used to determine the current market value of Bitcoin. Payment addresses are generated, and payments are forwarded to your own address using the Receive Payments API (http://blockchain.info/api/api_receive) from Blockchain.info.

Security

You do not need to store any money (Bitcoin or other currencies) on the server. Payments are received with unique addresses and forwarded to your wallet thanks to Blockchain.info's Receive Payments API, so there is no need to run Bitcoind. The admin panel password (to view invoices) is secured with a salted hash. Payments are manually fulfilled by you (the admin), so a malicious user would not be able to take anything, even with admin panel access.

You can edit the following:

• All text, content, and forms can be edited
• The theme can easily be changed by applying another Bootstrap theme
• Exchange Fee (positive or negative)
• Maximum $ per transaction, per day
• Minimum $ per transaction
• Add/remove payment methods

Are other currencies able to be implemented?

You would also need certain licensees. To the people who think they can just upload this to their server.

The script is currently setup to accept Bitcoin only, but it would be trivial to add support for other currencies. It is possible to exchange Bitcoins to any other currency, since exchanges are fulfilled by the site owner manually for security and convenience.


That is incorrect. The code you receive is neither encoded or obfuscated. You are free to modify the code and make your own changes. You will not need any special software to run the script on your server.

May I know how many people have bought the script and if their site is up and running?

I'm curious to learn more about this as I was looking into setting up a successful mini business (low maintenance,modest returns) in the bitcoin world as I feel that I'd be doing something great for bitcoin users in the UK especially since Intersango (one convenient place) stopped doing exchanges for a longtime now.

I'll need to know mre via PM (like returns,how to setup-as I have no coding/server/hosting experience,transactions volume,costs to maintain this,how many customers,etc)

I can answer one. The cost will be around $3-5 (depending if you want VPS or shared hosting) for server hosting and thats pretty much it.

Also if you PM me I can give you a few tips and (free) services you should use.

Demo looks very cool, lots of changes would have to be made for prospective buyers but it hard to turn down some sort of foundation when it is only .25. The only issue is compliance but this could be applied to alt currencies at a lower scale.

Not really. You could make a butt ton of money if you do it right.

I am going to vouch for this script. Someone contacted me to expand this script for him and it was quite easy to do so. The code is logical and well setup.

The script is worth whatever the person believes it to be. As of now he doesn't have much competition, and the script is functioning and in working condition (so I assume) so he has the right to charge whatever he wants for it. It's demand. If he asks too much he will get less sales, but higher profit for each sale. If he sells too low, he gets more customers but at a low rate with little profit.

10-15 is too low. Try selling this script for 10-15 per person on BitcoinTalk. You might get 10 customers at first...

$125... Was it worth the time you spent, but time you will have to be updating/providing warranted support; better cut out on something.

By all means, make something better if you can. Don't bash a script because of a pricing scheme which is fair at the point in time due to a only-reasonable demand.

From what I know the MyExchange name was ripped off from this page that's been online for over a year http:// tinyurl dot com / rmyexch - they have a C# Bitcoin exchange engine that is also called MyExchange. the company is called modulus financial.

Don't trust this guy's URL. There is no reason for him to use tinyurl, except scamming/infecting people. Be very careful if you decide to visit it. It might just lead to a Java Bypass which installs a wallet stealer.
