I was thinking about augmented reality technology such as Google Glass and also the Occulus Rift and I found this image.

Seriously though, what if we could create a Bitcoin glass/rift type device. It is possible to have custom tablets built now days so why not something similar(without breaching patents) to the tech mentioned. I can imagine simply scanning items and purchasing with Bitcoin stored in the device or on a network, bypassing checkouts, paying for transport, gas and so on. This would surely catapult Bitcoin into a mainstream technology.

Side note: If anyone decides they want to run with this then keep me in the loop, I specialize in branding, 3D, web design, etc so providing some techy's and investors are game this might be a worthwhile project.  ;)

Are you suggesting a google glass like gadget that does only one thing?
Why not just create an app for google glass? I don't get it...  :-\

I never really thought about the possibility of apps on Google Glass, I guess it uses Android then that is an option. Even so I feel that Google will not value the privacy of its users, Bitcoin apps dependent on Google is not a good idea. Although I gave one example of course the device could also be used for transactions, games, communication and so on. This is an idea literally of the top on my head just now. :P

Google glass most likely will allow developers to make apps for it, so google glass could be used as a platform.
