I spend most of my time now in bounty hunting of tokens, which is for me, a good way to earn more money in crypto world. But I've noticed that there was this ICO that i didn't join because they don't offer bounty campaign which is their ico token price was so less. And when this ico goes live on the exchange. The price of that token gains 10x of its ICO value! Thats why i think to myself, is bounty hunting more profitable than joining the ico? Can anyone help me out.

Some times, participating in bounty, can be more profitable than joining ICO. But just as you have stated, it can be sometimes the other way round. Nonetheless, I would say that bounty is more profitable.
It is just that to be on a safer side, like I do, you can participate in the two simultaneously. Join the bounty, as well as ICO. If feel you have more  chances of gaining than loosing.

Joining an ICO is more profitable than bounty campaigning but joining an ICO will make much busier than your usual thing because you will handle all hard jobs in the ICO. While joining bounty is not that much burden to earn profit. If you want to earn profit in easier way but not too big you joing bounty but if you are a person that is hardworker you must join ICO.

It really depends on how much is the bounty pool and if the ICO would reach the hard cap. But if the bounty pool is small especially for social media campaign and the participants is more than 1k definitely you.will get very small share. That is why I'm doing both( bounty and iCo investing). Portion of what I earned from the bounty I reinvest it on different ICOs

I think it's better to join the bounty than ICO, because many ICO has a scam!

You don't need to invest money in the reward activities. Ico needs to invest some money!

The reward only needs to do some tasks, after the completion of the project can get the token!

In most cases bounty pool is around 1% of sold tokens. And there are too many bounty hunters here.
So by the end you will work for nothing after 2-3 month and you will get some tokens which you cannot sell.
But if you can find a free slot for weekly paid (btc) campaigns that will be more profitable.

I think between them is a big difference. In one case you sacrifice time, and in another there is a risk of losing money.

ofcourse,its more profitable in bounty hunting than in joining ICO. in bounty hunting,all you need is your very best knowledge,diligence and patience and you don't need such to money to put in risk unlike in joining ico,you have to invest out money and its risky.

Well, if you are a whale, what is the reason to participate in bounty? But for ordinary people there is a chance to get some free tokens. Personally I invest in those ICO, where hard cap is expected to be reached in few days or in ICO without any bounty or where I can't earn sufficient amount of tokens

Participating in bounty is not much proftable compare to ICO lots of ICO's are not paying promised tokens or coins .Even lots goes to wrong people because of negligence of some bounty managers . So its better to invest on good potential ICO's instead of bounty for good return . If your having good social media support then bounty would be good.

If you have a huge amount of money and the project is great and trust worthy then I think it is much more profitable to join in their ICO to gain some bonus and have it while it is being sold at a low price,
But if you don't have money then you could just do their bounty ,
But I think it is better to be in the bounty while investing in them if you know that their project is really worth it.

I don't suggest you to attend the ICO, because each country is going to ICO market regulation, and the encryption of money market in a bear market, so most of the tokens are below the issue price, this time to participate in the ICO is not a wise choice.

 if profit would be a bases , then joining ICO is more profitable than bounty hunting but it needs an extra effort in selecting good ICO's because there are  many of them most likely a scam project , convincing investors to invest but after they received money, they were gone , risk is one of the disadvantage of this project, while in bounty hunting , more time is needed and earn less but it is safest way to earn without a losses.

As soon as you participate in an ICO you put money at risk. In the current market a high % of ICO is trading under ICO price, no matter what quality the project is. I normally participate in bounties where I am also willing to take part in the ICO. For bounties you dont have to risk any of your money. No matter if you are looking for bounty or ICO, the assesment of the project should be looking at the same things like prototype, team, advisors, token metrics and so on.

I definitely agree with You. Participating in bounty is risk-free because you will not lose any money, time is the only investment you will need. IMO, participating in Bounty is way more profitable than investing, my reason is, bounties offer tokens which are rewarded to the participants and if you can trade these tokens when the price has skyrocket then it is more likely for you to profit without even spending anything. There are certain bounties which offer little allocation but can be successful, but there are plenty other bounties which offer greater rewards. I would recommend doing bounty rather than investing, it is just my opinion though if you ask which is more profitable.

There is a big difference between participating in the company's bounty and participating in the ICO, in the company's bounty you risk nothing but your time, but if you have free capital, you can participate in the company with bounty and invest in ICO.

It definitely could be more profitable. Depending on your invetments. If your budget for investing is less than 10 000$, then you probably will earn much more for the same time if you research bounties rather than projects.

For me ICO is more profitable than bounty if you are PRO here, but if not Im advising you to read first about the threads of ICO there are many scams here. In joining ICO not being pro may bring you to a lost of token you invested and maybe waste of time. But it is more profitable than bounty for sure if the ICO is successful so its better to read first before joining an ICO.

I think a good ICO can produce an amazing profit, but bounties are far lower risk because you aren't investing your own money upfront.

It is really hard to answear. I think it is differently. Sometimes bounty are more profitable than ico, but not always. But if i must choose one, better for me are bounty campaigns. I recommend you read in the economics section, there you learn about it more

Generally speaking, ico's profit is very rich, but it will also lose money when it meets the extreme market. However, in the comparison of investment and transaction, ico's profit is higher.

you comparing something that you can do for free to get tokens and something that you must spend something to get, if you ask what's more profitable is to become an investor instead doing a bounty. You see Ian balina become a millionaire because he is investing in a good project, not doing a bounty.

Participating in bounty campaigns is a bad idea for now comparing investment in ICO.
Projects which have bounty are usually not so popular,they need these campaigns to spread the world about them. And nearly each project which doesn`t have bounty is already popular and has hype score. So when some exchange list its tokens, a lot of investors `ll be buying great amount,cuz they couldn`t take part in main sale.
So the best way is to take part in Private, pre-sale in projects,which doesn`t have bounty
Only few projects have great future for now,which have different bounties

It depends on what you can afford , in the bounty hunting you have to do just like-share and retweet for the particular project and when campaign or ICO ends you get paid mean this is the free way join and work and you will get tokens but to invest in ICO you need some capital for investment and its risky too. In bounty campaigns nothing to loose just work some hours and make money.

You have only one opportunity to participate in the company Signature (not two and not three), and for this month or 2 month of participation there can be 5 good and promising ICOs. I used to think dumping $5k into an ICO was a good investment. Then I saw some Bounty Hunters get more than that in tokens, and then they cashed out caused the prices to dump down to $2k. Well, since that's the case perhaps bounties are better.

That said, the 2 things are not alternative! I mean, you can both invest money and time in a project. In this case, you receive some extra tokens and edge the total risk

If you have available money to invest and you are ready for the risk then invest. The good thing about bounty you will not lose any money you just need to advertise thier projectt then they will pay you for the work youve done for them. And both of them is profitable.

I like you, every day I spend a lot of time on the bounty thread, but I will still attend the ICO the raise of the project, because if you like a project, then holding after a period of time will have a very good income.

You have a stupid question. Your bounty participation is limited to your account rank, signature, social media and blog participations. You can invest as much as you can. How could you compare these two? Bounties make you spend your time to produce something for the advertisement of the project. Investment as put your money in project you trust is not comparable action to bounty participation. If you know good ICO you should invest on it.

With bounties you are at least guaranteed not to lose anything, so if you are fine with making a little money bounties are the way and if you hold, you may even get rich just out of a bounty, however improbable.
In my opinion if you are not sure about a project and it offers a bounty program, just go for the bounty and stay out of the ICO. However if you find a project that you think has a lot of potential then go for the ICO and for the bounty as well of course :)

Bounty is more profitable as you don't spend money so everything you get is profit. Investing in ICO will sometimes gives you profit but it depends as some take time to be appreciated in value.

The price might got x10 BUT that comes with your initial investment. While doing bounty is getting some tokens for free which you decide whether you want to dump or wait for x10. If you got your profits from bounty, you can consider investing on ICO, some had KYC so be prepared for that. In anyways, you are still earning so Congrats.

It depends on the ICO that you have participated because sometimes being a bounty hunter is hard due to changing of rules on the campaign.

There is a problem with ICOs who give out too much prize for bountys, their price drops a lot before and when they join an exchange because bounty hunters are never interested in projects, and they dont want to hold the tokens, they just want to sell it fast and withdraw profits

It depends. I do both. You can't join multiple signature campaigns which usually has decent allocation in bounty. Other campaigns like social media aren't that good paying. If you have funds and trust a project, then the best option is investing in ICO. Some good ICO tokens have multiplied after being listed on exchanges. ICO tokens even do 10x in a month of being listed. So, I won't say doing a bounty is more profitable. Yes, it can be an option to earn some tokens.

There is a big difference between the two which is bounty and the joining the ico. If you don't have money yet go for the bounty, because in bounty you should work first before you earn profit, but in joining the ico you should invest only your money to make profit and it depends how much you invest the more much better.

It is a good deal to do bounty instead since you will not need to invest something but your time. This depends on the ICO you are talking about but in general, If an ICO has a lot of bounty hunters, there's no point working on bounty. If it reaches that point, the ICO is probably good and hence a good investment. Ive seen ICOs that didnt have enough publicity but had a lot of potential in them, the bounty hunters capitalized on them and made some quick bucks. Most hunters exchange as soon the coin hits the market. In such cases, bounty is better than the ICO itself but in the first case ICO is better.

Its more profitable in joining bounty since its only comsume our time and not money, unlike in participating ICO it needs investment and there's no guarantee that ICO will succeed and some of ICOs turned into scam ICO's.

Depends on the amount of investing, mostly the ICO is much profitable than bounty. Some people are mixing that two ways but you got to be sure that the project is going to have a bright future otherwise you're done.

You need to invest in ICO and there are no guarantees that these investments will be profitable for you. In bounty campaigns you do not lose anything.

These are 2 different things.. joining bounty is "free" even if you have to do a lot of work, but you can partecipate without invest any money, but there are many ICO that don't have a bounty and that are very profitable.... if you have time to choose the right ICO and you have to invest some money, then do both ! ;)

I think that if youo don't want to spend money in ICO, bounty is the most profitable way to make some serious gain....even if you have to work hard for that...

Bounty no risk high reward so for me participating in bounty is more profitable than ICO, Because most of ICO's now is scam or have shitty projects. Out of my 5 ICO's only 1 succeeded. That's why i turning my self into full time bounty hunter.

I think maybe join bounty is safer than join ICO. because if you join bounty and coincidence the project is a scam or not successful then there will be no loss of material, maybe just a loss of time

That is a really good approach. Bounties and ICO should compliment each other. If you do not stand behind a project and would not put your money on it, why do you want to spend so much time doing a bounty. My first bounty was the "Mysterious C" Project" and I was attracted by the large BTC pot they promised while the project was really vague. It turned out it was not just vague but just thin air, there was nothing behind it and the bounty manager turned out to be a scammer. From now I am only doing bounties for projects I know a lot about them and I see so much value that I am personally invested in it.

With your good knowlege and research skill, if the ICO are not scam the profit you can get is many per time but bounty are not !

You have to read carefully about the project info to avoid risk.

Of course it is better because bounty hunting will only require you to post and finish your assigned task weekly and you are going to have your stakes at the end of the bounty campaign,on the other hand ICO investments will require you to send some funds to buy those tokens and if the ICO has turned into scam you wont get anything in return.

Yes,because you wont risk any money when you are joining bounty campaigns,ICO investments needs to have a decent amount of investments for you to get good results or gains,so i prefer doing bounty campaigns instead of ICO hunting because the only thing that i would lose is my time and effort.

I do not think that's true. I just wrote about what I consider the best solution is investing and participating in the bounty. One without the other seems to me inferior. That's why I think so, but this is just my opinion on this matter. Therefore, I can not speak for all.

Thats true only if the prices of the coin goes 10X or even 2X man. But most of the time it has happened that coins down even show up the prices equivalent to the ICO prices. So in anyway ICO investment can turn upside down as you would put lots of money into it to buy the coins. On the other hand bounty programs will give you tokens and coins just for the purpose of different campaign and multimedia marketing. Thus in the later one you just put your efforts and time. That is not a loss if anything goes wrong and the prices could be anything but that would be always profits.

Investing on ICOs at times is a matter of luck and does not guarantee profits because there are so many ICOs out there how do we know which one is going to succeed? despite investing our hard earned money,  bounty campaigns is likened to gambling because you invested your time and efforts and at the end tokens will be disributed  while some might not be distributed but it is more preferable to investing in ICOs.

i have a question , if i join bounty campaign how can i be paid? for example bounty campaign has ended and they were going to distribute the eth or token , do i have to invest or exchange before my eth or token distribute to my personal account?

Once you join on a bounty you are joining in a ICO,bounty are part of the campaign that are jobs that are hiring into bounty hunter or user,if you are a bounty hunter you will look an ICO with a legitimate bounty and a great reward.

I am now just following the bounty because I do not have much money to join ICO.
If I have earned money from bounty I will invest some to join ICO.

I rather to join bounty campaigns than investing an ICO and yes its profitable but its so risky if you invest your money in ICO's some of them are scam only few are legit ICO's, just join bounty campaigns its an easy task and no investing required only time.

You have to understand first that both concepts are not the same. Bounty participation does not cost you any financial involvement but participating in an ICO does. For bounties, one could undertake a task and get coin reward at the end or get the coin for free without doing any task if it were an airdrop. For me, I will choose bounty participation over ICO, especially if the reward is in the coin rather than in btc.

It depends on the ICO itself cause some of them are scams and useless, they are pretending to be good in order to attract investors, the risk you can get from the bounty if your lucky to join a scam project is that it wastes your time and effort for the promotion of their platform which is annoying and frustrating to see your efforts are in vain.

As the OP stated some ICO did not launch or allocated any bounty campaigns here but got successful in their crowdsale as well the price when they hit exchanges, we know the risk but you can lessen it by conducting proper research and understanding as well as the background check for their teams. You may miss big opportunities.

I think so because most of the bounty campaigns will give you a lot when they achieved success or atleast softcap? it is the safest thing to do when you dont have enough investment to start trading,bounty hunting will only require your time and effort and you dont need an initial investment to start earning,compare to trading and mining you will need a lot of money.

Depends. If you are able to do a translation quickly and you haven't got anything else on your schedule, there may be better opportunities to profit off ICOs through bounty programs than with actually investing in an ICO.

The real question here is whether you have the capital to invest.

If you do, and you are seeing a good ICO porject, then that money can make you a lot more money in return once the tokens gets listed on an exchange. But if you don't bounty programs can definitely be a lot more profitable, especially if labour in your country is significantly cheaper.

Most major ICOs like EOS does not actually have bounty, though. So it's not always an option.
