Title: What are your bad trading habits in cryptocurrency?
Post by: Hemady17 on March 08, 2018, 10:38:10 AM
During trading, I sometimes listen to the news or rumors that trigger me to buy or sell my crypto without verifying the facts. Also sometimes I tend to buy more on downtrend crypto in hoping that that was the dip price where in fact the falling is still on-going. These habits of mine should be correctly immediately or else I might experience more serious problem.

How about yours? What are your bad habits in trading?

Greed was my biggest bad habit. I had greed to increase my Bitcoin portfolio size, multiple it. And that greed made me to leverage trade with 100X margin and lose it all. In normals trades when I would hold coin for few days, I would switch to several coins and hold for long. Lost on quite a few opportunities with this.

Follow signal never trust my skill and always blame the market when get loss. For this bad habits already lost my salary for 6 month and unfortunately I never fix it, just keep running with this habits until now. I know what happen if I still like this but I don't know why I believe this is me and no need to change that. If any members have solutions I'll be glad to hear that.

I never try to catch any short term gains specially in the falling coin, if the coin I am holding is falling I wait for few more hours till I will see atleast one big green candle in hourly chart where I sell my total holding and than enjoy another wave of dump. Most of the time this works but in few cases I have to buy back those coins again at some loss.

Its better to make early exit rather than keep waiting for some pump for more than a month.

Right now I don't have good or bad habits, because I'm just paper trading and gathering some knowledge and experience, while testing my strategies with no risk. Commenting on your post, I don't think that buying on rumors without verifying facts is entirely a bad habit. Crypto markets are still very volatile, and people will most certainly react on those news as well. People react on fomo and fud, and that creates good trading opportunities. I think your should always use technical and fundamental analysis combined, so you can of course jump on news, if you are also getting indicators based on technical analysis that confirms that the markets are reacting to the news.

A clear example is the recent fud related to a possible hack with binance. Nothing was confirmed, but it was enough to spook the markets. Selling on those news would allow you to get a good trade.

Right now am not trading but in case if i enter into trading then my very bad habit will be my greediness. I too will buy the coins thinking that this is the price drop of that coin without making much technical analysis which wont be gaining me much profit. This makes a note of being more greedy and not being patience. I have to work for it to overcome my flaws.

I am not that fan of trading, but always doing some cryptocurrency bounties and airdrops to use in trading without investing the risk of losing my own money.

My bad trading habit is too much HODLing, in effect I am always late selling at high prices and waiting longer for it rise again, its so boring and a waste of time. It's like waiting for nothing.

In the world of trading do not carelessly monitor the development of graphics, sometimes I like the wrong purchase with a rush the price above, for the layman I can not read the terms and finally without my knowledge the price drops very sharply no time to pull back.

Lol troll box are the worst place to get the prediction , it might a good way to get your luck. But it would always become a mistake at the end of your trading days. It's funny habit actually if you say so , really a troll box ?  ::) :D

I forgot to add this bad habit of mine most especially during bull market. Sometimes in expense of thinking that BTC price will continue to increase out of greed then suddenly the price fell drastically until you were not able to sell your position. Not following the trading plan due to greed is very bad precedent and should not be repeat.
