then favor which one between waves or ethereum.

most of which exist today is the platform ethereum most dugunakan certainly.
but did not rule out that waves also rival ethereum.

what are the advantages of both platforms that the people do not know.

I think neo will be the main competitor.
At present, NEO can handle 10,000 transactions per second.
Ethereum can handle 15 transactions per second.

There is a long list of Ethereum rivals that is still growing so very hard to know who will the most powerful.
ADA and EOS are going to be  strong contenders too.

I think it might be for the next few years. Ripple will compete with ethereum. But for now I do not think ripples can compete with ethereum. Because we know the use of ethereum very much and every ICO is always used. different from ripple.

One of the things working in favour of Waves is the huge amount of fund the team was able to raise during the ICO and I was told they still have huge amount of this fund in at their disposal, the team seem to me to lack clear direction for the project, now they want to do everything which will not work in favour of the project long term

There are many projects that are similar and have the ability to do smart contracts such as Neo, Lisk, Stratis and many more. But thing with ethereum is that it is the first one and thus you already have somewhat built infrastructure. Ethereum has decentralized exchanges built on the platform already and there are some talks about building bridges between other coins to enable blockchain swaps to enable you for instance to send btc on ethereum network do some work with smart contracts and send back the rest.

I do think that maybe IOTA or even NANO (old raiblocks) might have a chance against ethereum if they lunch smart contracts on their platform. Because there are no fees and it is just a psychological feeling of something being free where as you have to pay on etherum to transact with smart contracts. Other than these 2 biggest rival is NEO, in my opinion Waves is competitor but it is lower in terms of marketcap and recognition.

Currently, there is a large number of projects that can be competitors for the etherium (NEO, Waves etc.). But this does not mean that they have a chance. Efirium - as bitcoin - he is the first!

Currently there are hundreds of tokens and applications being built on the Ethereum platform I don't think waves is even anywhere near Ethereum when it comes to development. Also many of the tokens on Ethereum already have value and are making big developments. And with Plasma, POS and sharding coming Waves won't even be able to touch Ethereum.

Waves will not be the most rival for Ethereum. NEO would be the biggest treat for Ethereum because almost all of teir token has a solid project ad back up by real business. In Ethereum an Waves Platform there are many shitcoins  than real coin compared to NEO.

not just the waves that become the competitors of ethereum, now many people also think that NEO has the same opportunity. I think the three of them are tight competitors but it is still ethereum at the top.

Waves don't lag behind development of the project, developers have rolled out a beta, very convenient, as for Efirium recently, I of course am not happy with this platform, but she carries on herself almost all coins, it as the main start of coins
