Post by: CryptoSportz on March 08, 2018, 09:15:45 PM
We may be fully functioning but we're still looking to develop our platform. We are looking to offer more games and improve the user experience.

Check out our platform https://cryptosportz.com/ and let us know what you think. The good, the bad and the ugly. We want to hear it all.

I like your website. The web design is simple and straight forward.
I don`t understand how P2P sports betting work.Do you have a bankroll,so other players bet against the system,or the players bet against each other? If the second option is true and you don`t have enough players, you will have problems with liquidity,i guess. How do you plan to promote this website?

Hey thank you for reaching out. So glad you like the website - we were aiming for it to be user friendly.

Good question - players are betting against one another and that is true, at this point in time as we are just a start up and do not have enough players.

We're turning to influencers in the community as one option as we try and securing additional funding that we can hopefully start promoting our website with sponsored posts and ads across notable platforms. Trying to go organically has been challenging so we've also turned to the community for any feedback or suggestions on how we can promote our platform even more.

If you have any ideas, we would love to hear them!

Hi there! Good, quick design so far and I'm really, really interested in using your Survivor Pool option. Would it be possible to set up my own Survivor Pools? For example, I'm actually doing manual ones for the upcoming World Cup, probably past the group stages, so just in a simple format where each player can pick any team during a round, but each team can only be picked once, with survivors simply moving to the next games, choosing a new team each round. After the final game, all survivors share the pool, or if all are knocked out, then the survivors of the last round win the pool.

Could you offer a sort of test section so we could try out something like this and work out the system? And bitcoin, too, please!

P.S. The Filter "Latest" doesn't work. Shows me games from 21st March first, whereas tomorrow's game is on the second page.

The website is cool, very interesting. To my mind it needs more activity and more participants. You need some promotions. May be more technical documentaion for people who will be interested in supporting or participating in your developing the idea. I would like to know more details about your platform. How the P2P sports betting really works? In what way you are going to develop the product? Have you got  any idea?

Thanks for your feedback!

For the survival pool format, we're looking to incorporate it really soon. We can't make any promises yet of when exactly. We want to get the ball rolling with our current format first.

Thank you! Yes, it is decentralized betting.

No lines! Just parimutuel betting.

As for MetaMask, it's one of the fastest growing platforms out there, has a chrome extension, its simple to use and has great UX.

How the P2P sports betting really works? In what way you are going to develop the product? Have you got  any idea?

Good insight.

For technical documentation, we've got:

Whitepaper - http://cryptosportz.com/assets/cz-whitepaper.pdf (http://cryptosportz.com/assets/cz-whitepaper.pdf)
GitHub - https://github.com/cryptosportz/cryptosportz (https://github.com/cryptosportz/cryptosportz)
Medium https://medium.com/@cryptosportz (https://medium.com/@cryptosportz)

How the betting works:
When you choose your prediction (i.e. New England will win) you will be “buying a ticket”. This ticket will come in the form of a non-fungible token (based on CryptoKitties standard #721 of ETH) which will contain in it the info about your position. The contract will allow people to take up as many of the various positions in it as they want. Our contract will have 3 options (team 1 wins, team 2 wins, draw). So on average if everyone sort of bets evenly across all 3 possibilities, then the odds any one player gets will be 3:1 on their individual ticket. 5% of the ticket goes to the platform (1% given to referrals). 95% of the ticket fee will be stored in the contract and in exchange you will recieve your non fungible token that contains the outcome selection you’ve made. After the Oracle service retrieves the game scores, the contract will recognize tickets with the correct prediction as winning tickets and divide its ETH balance by the number of winning tickets.

This is our current format and we'll be supporting more complex bets (team 1 wins by 4pts at half time, and 1 at final) in the near-future.

------

Thank you for your feedback. Community engagement is really important to us - we value it highly for iterating on our product.

Hey, it looks like you are heading on the right direction. Its been what like a week ago when I was replying to your thread but now its already fully functioning. How about expanding and adding UFC or boxing matches?? Or offering bitcoin as well like what @buwaytress has suggested? I already see that you already added the March Madness though, good one!!! I still go with my suggestion that you should open a signature campaigns though, you have a good project and business, just needed more exposure specially to the gamblers around.
