It's quite similar to coinmarketcap but has a nice interface and looks better, this is a very good website. I will use it more often. Thank you for sharing here.

CoinGecko is also good. It includes Github activity and community activity as a measure to know how "healthy" a cryptocurrency is as a project in general.

Other nice complementary sites are CryptocurrencyCalendar and CryptoMiso.

I also use coingecko but more of coinmarketcap. I would say they are still different, all of them. Since they all have different ways of computing the top coins. They don't all have the same standard or what exchanges they are basing their interpretation. So I think it's nice to have more than one point of view, so they are all relevant if you are a trader.

Yeah that's very similar to CMC but it has more annoying ads especially that is below the monitor. Are you the owner of this website? CMC is the most popular and it has less annoying ads than that WCI. But what I don't like with CMC they are promoting some scams and they are only for the bucks after displaying it there.

Onchainfx is focused on investors - it provides a much larger range of indicators than probably any other site. Here you can see such data as the market capitalization of the coin for 2050 (calculation of its future value), the percentage of coins issued from the total possible number of them, the return on investment and historical prices. The dominance of bitcoin is conveniently displayed in the header of the site, and even you can see the "Vladimir Club Cost" of coins (how much you need to spend to buy 1% of the total number of coins that will ever be issued).

the site really is very beautiful and much easier to see the prices ... this provides a fantastic experience of navigation, but there are some very important things that this site does not have, things like the ANN thread of altcoins that I think very important because makes it a lot easier when you want to find out about a ANN particular altcoin. I do not understand why so many sites ignore this option.


Well, use as many options as possible is an advantage.

In any business, if it's successful and well-developed sooner or later appears a competition. And it's not bad. Probably, there should be more such sites to have a possibility to make a choice. But I'm a conservative in this question and take advantage of what I chose once and I liked it. That is the CoinMarketCap.

One piece of information that I learned to be the most relevant is a project's Github activity. If there's very low activity, you can trade the pump and then dump after a few days, and if its high, then theres a chance that its a good long term investment.

So if you see someone ask if "Dogecoin is a good investment", you would know that he does not check Github lol.

You can't rely on a single list though since sometimes some information are not covered, for example a particular coin exist on list #1 but not on #2 or not all of it's markets are included etc...

which is why to get the most accurate information, it's best to use at least three. Here's what I usually use

its a lot more comprehensive than cmc.

It seems that we have more and more sites that are trying to be competition to coimarketcap,but most of them only can provide better design and automatic update of data.When I look at worldcoinindex data I see that many of listed coins take a different place then what is the case on some others sites.For example Nano is ranked at 13 place(worldcoinindex) and on coinmarketcap it is on 20 place,so they have some other method to calculate ranks/probably they use different exchanges or something like that.

there are two possibilities here; first, they use different exchanges to rank the coins
and the second they count from several exchanges so as to give birth to the value that has been combined, and that being the price of the coin ratings they specify

Don't you know about Coingecko or Coinmarketapp. These are providing the same service what we are able to get from the Coinmarketcap.com I am not sure you went to this website or coinmarketapp android application.
These will give the best information along with the coin analysis you can get the news update also with this application.

I am not sure you are part of this worldcoinindex project or not but seems like you are indirectly promoting this site when other fame sites are in the market.

I've used it in a few months and I've proven to myself that coinmarketcap is still the best. Worldcoinindex does not cover all exchanges which is not very convenient for a trader like me.

Coinmarketcap was still one of the first, and almost all news feeds refer to it. But competition is always good. It makes you get better!

The thing here is that it's their platform, so even if it's a scam or misleading, which is a better term since they didn't scam anyone, then just don't pay any attention to it. The problem with these platforms is that they only show you what THEY want you to see, and CMC isn't any different in that regard. It's up to you to do proper research instead of relying solely on third party information that more often than not is heavily biased towards those who pay or the platform itself. There is nothing more frustrating than people blaming something that can't be blamed, and especially can't and shouldn't be accused of scamming like I have certain people see doing. People have been complaining about CMC for a while, but still use it, which must be a sign that they do something better than the rest.

Whatever the phishing websites comes to the market nothing has been worked better like coinmarketcap. But I like Coingecko as well along with the coinmarketcap. These both are perfect in the market.

I think this new web still has a few shortcomings. I can not see the list of market there. So, I can not know where the market of some tokens I know. And I think loading from this web is not as fast as in coinmarketcap.

I guess one of the main problems with these numbers is the difference between "available coins" and "coins in circulation"...if somebody does not unterstand the difference between the two or does not understand the project well, then its easy to get vastly different numbers...

Having an alternative way to know bitcoin price is very helpful cause there's been some news lately that coinmarketcap has been manipulating the market causing for investor to panic sell and resulting into FUD because of incorrect price analysis they provide. I also found a site that can be a reference for bitcoin price you can bookmark it if you want, it's called cointelegraph.com/exchange.

You are right that newbies post mostly negative comments about coinmarketcap and the reason is that they do not know the reality. Like you I also believe in coin Gecko because it is the best. I like this one but I will not suggest anyone to use this because everyone has his respective choice and they may find something better than coinmarketcap.

I also think that every coin has their respective market cap. It depends on people in which they believe the most. May some coins are good for someone but bad for others. So it is very difficult to compare different coins. Many people like coin gecko and I am one of them. Rest is the choice of every individual.

I believe that although there are a number different websites to coinmarketcap, they are in the most the same information.

Coingecko has interesting info that can't be found elsewhere. It would be nice to see CMC's dominance definitively taken out. Its current position doesn't really help anyone or anything.

I have not yet had any experience with any other site besides CMC. I really find CMC to be the best if there is going to any other competitive sites around crypto currencies. The features are really so friendly and it drives me to be around this site more and more. We can compare with each coin and see the trend of respected coin's growth from its launch. This helps me to decide upon investment amount

In-spite for having an issue with CMC recently but still i do prefer this site when checking out prices.For now they have been sued out about some problems they should fixed it. Recent or active updates should be needed for people to get back their trust.Im sure that the problem did cause some lost of interest and now seeking up new site. Coingecko is a good option too if CMC doesnt exist but for now i do still prefer this site on checking out the entire marketcap (as a whole).

Looks like this ICO project new to me. I have another thinking and choice. I would like to invest for a reliable project @SciDex. Where success is obvious and can bring for the people who invested for the SciDex project. Actually there is a great team working on it. Always supportive and helpful for the users.

There's a brilliant crypto ranking site called coinkapp.com (http://coinkapp.com) with price charts available for each cryptocurrency in 7day/30day/1year formats. IMO coinkapp is a superior version of coinmarketcap, laden with useful information and news from reddit twitter youtube etc

Some people also suggest cryptocompare, but i'm unable to understand where the usd market cap ranking is (everying is priced in btc instead). All the same, its a decent platform for getting crypto stats.

Looks pretty cool. The website contains too many text, link and a gif meme but it isn't put in a cluttered manner.
Also, the information is readable even though the sizes are small specially the yellow box containing the general description of the coin/token.

I just checked now this site and it's pretty accurate rather than coinmarketcap. The value of some cryptocurrencies are much higher than in coinmarketcap site. It will be a good help for investors for them to not relate in one market chart site, we should have a lot of online market chart so we can compare the fluctuation of cryptocurrencies.

 Thanks for sharing but i guess since coinmarketcap is usuable to those who make tutorial for beginner traders, less interface is very basic to understand. However , this can be use for advance tutorial with the average critical thinking of trading. The bigger the price when compared to CMC the more positive move investors will acquire.

These seems to be good alternatives and I believe one should always have a backup if things get wrong with https://coinmarketcap.com ,So, just visited two of your sites and I observe that both very little bit slow in comparison to coinmarketcap.com also you will notice that graphs are an efficient way to show the data and this feature is missing in http://coincap.io and I believe this is due to the live update of market. On the other hand https://www.livecoinwatch.com is nice copy but slight difference in the values and you will get less quality of graphs.

I've heard of this website but never visited until now! It has a very clean interface. It is good to know that there is always an alternative website for indexing. In the crypto community, websites come and go, but this one looks really solid. One thing I've noticed is that coinmarketcap doesn't respond well within my smart phone's browser. But i do find Coinmarketcap is so good as i have good experience navigating through the site. Its friendly use. Each link to each coin directs to its data which is in place to compare coins with each other to either invest or sell. Easy to fetch new coin's data and find if the respected coin is listed on any exchanges. I would say, this is a junction for crypto currency moments. Other sites must be better but i can not explain on things that i am not sure of.

I use CryptoCompare and it's much better because the price are being updated more frequently.
The problem with coinmarketcap is that sometimes they are including fake exchanges and highly manipulated prices in their market cap, so you may end up looking at a altcoin who is located in the first place, as it's being exchanged in one small exchange for a highly manipulated price.
CryptoCompare has a algorithm to check if the price of the coin is fair and if the exchanges it's being traded on legit exchanges.

I don't know why others don't prefer coinmarketcap but I understand that we have our own taste base on the design and it's feature.

I personally like coinmarketcap but it's also good to know that there are websites that does have this type of service which is for free.

The best thing which I like the most related to that of the crypto market is that in crypto market, you will find number of things to do and that all of them will then help you in making of some god amount of money as well. You just need to take out some time and that you need to study all the possible ways of making some good income and then go for that way which attracts you the most.

We have got different alternatives such as blockfolio, livecoinwatch and so on. But, I've found coinmarketcap to be the best and it is the one which gives a clear data regarding each and every digital asset that gets developed with different functionalities.

I like cryptocompare too. Coinnarketcap is a good site, I didn't look for alternative, they have what I need, direct link to coin website, and list of exchanges that have specific coin in their site, along with how paired they are.
This sites are just for following prices, I don't use them too often except I need to check them fast, I relay mostly on price on exchanges, they are different on each site.
I have coinmarketcap telegram bot too, its good one. I set up when to inform me about price changes and I know when bitcoin move up or down in 1000 dollars price range, for litecoin my set up is on 50 dollars changes and, others on even less. Great bot, it always tells me what I need to know, even when I forget to take a look.

Exactly, I also find coinmarketcap.com is the best for us. In general, CoinGecko also has some features like coinmarketcap. It looks clear and beautiful ,also actractive. But this website still has some limitation which makes me feel not like to use more than CMC. Besides, CMC is used most popular than CoinGecko. Moreover, CMC is the first place I’ve chosen to know about cryptocurrencies, thus I get hooked on using CMC than anothers. This is very much like the old coinmarketcap site that helps the community see charts. Do they plagiarize coinmarketcap? But hopefully they can be as useful as coinmarketcap, because currently coinmarketcap is still a recommendation to see the development of coins.

Worldcoinindex looks like a good clean site, gives you the info you need without all the clutter of CMC which takes a long time to load on slower computers. I prefer to use coingecko, but coinmarketcap has better a brand name with global recognition

Good to know that there exist so many variations to keep a track of market as well as our investment. I use CMC often and sometimes I like to hop over to Coincodex. Now everyone has their own preference and for me the most of all is the app that I can use on my phone to view the market condition. I know there are some third-party apps that use CMC api to present the data and this is very convenient for me.

If what you need is other alternatives to Coinmarketcap, then there are lots of them already. The only thing you should be worried about is which one is accurate is stating out the current price of every cryptocurrencies? Coinmarketcap features about 20+ cryptocurrencies and it’s always current and 100% accurate based on my own experience. So why should even worry myself with finding an alternative? If you still need an alternative, then you can check out https://www.ccn.com/marketcap/  I do use CCN sometimes and you might prefer, but the one I use mostly is Coinmarketcap cause I have trust in it for accuracy. CCN is also accurate.

My best alternative is coincheckup so much better than coinmarketcap. This is an excellent dashboard you cannot do so much better. Very simple , possibility to see charts from tradingview if available. Analysis, charts spread on 1/7/30/90 days, News,events from project and etc.... All the best from everywhere in 1 platform.

I have been using coin gecko and it is really very good and a safe place.

CoinGeck is very good and it is also a very nice to measure how healthy the currency is.

CoinGecko mostly list the tokens and ICO projects once its comes to market itself but coinmarketcap list the tokens and coins when it entered to the exchange only most of the time. So these both are not working in the same variant.
Then I suggest you to go with the CMC application available on the Google playstore via that app you can get the coin price list and news recently announced dude.

Do you mean that Coingecko lists a project when it is still in the ICO phase or even pre-ICO because this would be the stage when a project comes to the market. I was looking for such a platform for a while.

I still find coinmarketcap.com is the best as I have used it since I know about crypto currencies. The features are so friendly and they are up to the mark to the current generation. The comparison feature really brings the truth to trade further choosing the correct crypto currencies.

This is a copy of a coinmarketcap. On this site, the cryptocurrencies are ordered by not capitalization but by the volume of trading.
For me it's uncomfortable. There are many similar sites but they differ only in design. And two more things are interesting: how quickly do coins appear on other sites? Which site is the fastest showing the capitalization of new coins?

I like CoinMarketCap because it also shows all the neseccary info about each token/coin like links to all social media platforms of the project and it also allows me to create my own watchlist. And I really use Currency Converter Calculator on CMC a lot. Haven't found any of these functions on WorldCoinIndex, but I have to agree that its interface looks better and charts are easier to analyze there.

Charts on Coinmarketcap are just awful, it's impossible to perform any kind of a technical analysis there. Your option seems more attractive for this goals, I'll bookmark it.

Oh, thanks for pointing this out, I haven't noticed it! This information is also really interesting and useful, though cap matters more than trading volume. But you can click on "Market Cap" and the order will change according to cap, just like it is on CMC. It also works there, but numbers don't change when using other parameters than cap.

I looked at this site, and I can highlight some features: I liked the interactive update of the price of growth and fall, just like on the exchange of currencies. Graphs and indicators, very accurately can show peak values, almost 99% accuracy. And besides a very nimble site, the response from the server is very fast. The creators are well suited to its creation.

Thanks for the tip. In case this hasn't been mentioned before, I recently discovered CoinGecko.com and like it very much. One nice thing about it is that it does not require a minimum trading volume that I know of, so it includes more coins.

usually I use coinmarketcap to get coin information if I want to buy a coin. normally i only need information for total supply and exchange, i will try to use wordcoinindex as a comparison, if in my opinion good maybe i will use it

That is very helpful for me because I having some problem with coinmarketcap the loading of the charts in my internet there is like so slow and in the worldcoinindex it actually good and not consuming more buffering :) Good to know about this thanks .

If you need the data that is shown on CMC, maybe you can use some app with widgets for your smartphone which shows the current price and how it's changing in the real time. I've installed one recently, though this app is not official, but it's pretty handy to see all of my favorite coins on my main screen all the time.

I've been a coinmarketcap (https://coinmarketcap.com/coins/) user my entire existence in this forum but sometimes, i am also using cryptocompare (https://www.cryptocompare.com/) as my alternate website for tracking market capitalization of different types of cryptocurrencies.

Livecoinwatch, blockfolio, coinmarketcap, coin market app and different other apps were were available for keeping track of the different cryptocurrencies. Among the entire available ways coinmarketcap gives the best accessibility and perfect information related to each and every cryptocurrency.

I still prefer coinmarketcap though, if not CMC then I use my own api to get the price, some other sites UI seem too boring for just price checking. Have tried blockfolio and one tracker like that, they seems cool too just that I prefer CMC.

I also regularly use coingecko to track coin types in this market and it works pretty well. Tracking the value of the coins helps me to be more proactive in my investments so that I can make more decisive decisions.

Cryptocompare is one of the best alternative of coinmarketcap as suggested by google.com. I am not really particular of such alternative thing and the like because i always ask google about it. In fact, it's not only cryptocompare that is being suggested as google gives you a list of alternatives to coinmarketcap.

You can use bitgur, it is an alternative user-friendly like coinmarketcap too and many coins are also listed out there. Blockfolio is a good choice too since it can track on your own currency and it's pretty handy.

The best alternative to Coinmarketcap on the PC is not. For a smartphone, I use CoinStats. A fairly handy program, where the real-time price is displayed!

In most cases i use CMC because  i have gotten used to it, but lately is lagging and this makes me go to alternative which i found a while back- https://www.coingecko.com
I like it also because there is more coins than in CMC , only thing that throws me off is that volume often differs by few billion, i would like to understand where from this difference comes.

In the end, I realize that coinmarketcap is still the best. But the competition from the site will be the impetus for development and perfection. Depending on its status to choose Select the appropriate exchange sites  :D :D

I also use coinmarketcap, but sometimes i use livecoinwatch, coinlib or blockfolio app. But in my opinion coinmarketcap is still the best. Blockfolio app is ok, but if want check different prices from different exchanges needs some times to change, on the other side on coinmarketcap we can see all prices from all listed exchanges for a coin.

Try using the Coinstats app. It lists the trading floors and the price of the coin. More extensive options than Blockfolio. The difference and a bit frustrating is that the update data is delayed. But I think it's not a big deal.

Blockfolio is the most beautiful application in my opinion, has a lot of users and provides high quality service, also set up price alarms to feature alerts

this service is exactly the same as coinmarketcap but I see on the worldcoindex that the site you provide is similar to coingecko with ico sales list, but in my opinion both are as good

CMC generally issues aggregating prices, ticker data, not providing per-market+exchange charts/data. Some of their competitors like Coin.Market (https://coin.market/) provide more meaningful trades data, so you can calculate how much volume was for 1 second, 1 minute, or 1 hour and so on - you can also check how many trades were to get, for example, btc/usd in a selected price range on all exchanges or on one exchange

Coingecko is the best alternative to Coinmarketcap in my view. It is giving almost the same detailed info about the coin (the chart, the markets, social media links..) and also it is a bit better than CMC because it is listing so many coins not yet listed on Coinmarketcap, but already listed in exchanges.

are you related to coin.market ? because i see that you up all the old threads and you always mention coin.market on your posts    .  the domain name coin.market is pretty simillar to cmc  but i think cmc is still more better since its popular so people will trust what is being listed here  .


oh . you mean to say that coingecko is more updated and cmc is a bit more outdated because they are slow on listing new data's  related to the crypto market .  you could be right because ive also see alot of people that says coingecko is more better than cmc  .
