Whats a better investment in your opinion? Short term and Long term.

NEO is technologically better, but the community leads the LTC. My preference would be NEO.

I think they are not so much comparabled with one another, NEO being more like a platform and LTC more like a currency. LTC has the first movers advantage and it's well established in the market, NEO is still a new player and although there has been a few successful ICOs its technology is still yet to be bulletproofed.

If you're risk averse I would go with LTC, if not, NEO may provide bigger gains.

I think NEO is the best. Neo prices have increased rapidly since launch. By having its own platform, Neo is becoming more advanced and better.

Neo prices are relatively stable, even in recent times. Already many who joined in the Neo project. Those investors are seeing potential prospects on the Neo.

Both are good investments, short term and long term.

LTC is trying to be the first with widely working lighting network.
NEO is stealing more and more ICO's from ETH as a platform.

I start all my investments for the long term. If I do it, I will continue to wait. If I make a good profit, I will sell. My preference is NEO.

I think you should invest NEO short term and LTC long-term investment. We can not deny the popularity and convenience of these two altcoins and 2018 is the thriving year of these two altcoins. So this is a good time to invest in them. Their prices have dropped quite a lot and please be patient for 2 more days and that will be the best time to buy your coin with the cheapest price.

OF course they are both different functions. But this thread was pertaining to as an investment. Short vs Long which coin is better. I see both giving 10X within the next year for sure.

Both coins are very good and have big potential. It is hard to choose one because if i would like invest i will choose both. Neo has good technology, but Litecoin better community. Really choose both :>

i don't think either of these are good investments for long term because they are altcoins, and worst of all copycat altcoins.

but in short term i see both of these having huge pumps. NEO because it has a lot of hype and it is not properly pumped like other similar coins. and it has some good features which makes it a good candidate for a good pump.

litecoin will also get pumped because bitcoin price will eventually reverse and start having a rally, possibly even after this downtime. and when that happens LTC will follow it like it always does, possibly with a delay but the pump will come.

I would prefer NEO as we will be seeing much more ICO's on this platform which will drive the demand.

I can say LTC is just BTC alternative, In my opinion LTC will always follow bitcoin, but NEO has its own function and platform. NEO market is growing massively in China, and soon Asia, so my choice will be NEO

It is really hard to predict, as not always the technologically better ones have the larger growth rates.
NEO is technologically better in my opinion, while LTC is enjoying the hype and price increase because of the fork.

For long term, I'd definately go with NEO, as it had created a platform, similar to ETH, but its PoS.
For short, LTC might be a better one, but its up to you really.

NEO for both short and long. I'm expecting it to have a huge 2018 as it becomes a more established platform and a fixture in China.

Litecoin and Neo are both good for investment and I currently invest that two because they have a great potential and will give me a big profit.

both of which have different purposes, in short is litecoin as the virtual currency for payment, while neo is the provider of blockchain platforms that use smart contracts. both are equally good and have a profit potential if we hold them for short or long term.
remember, ltc just launched litepay and neo is planning to build dex. ltc and neo same thing with btc and eth.

Better we invest on these two it is obvious ltc is still profitable same as neo. They are not comparable because they have each purpose as crypto. Both may serves as either short or long term depends on how we manage our investment.

You have chosen the best coins. Litecoin and Neo have been seeing it's healthy growth in recent days though. But yes these two coins are in red as like other alts from January 2018. We do have intermittent positive growths though. Split your investment into two. Experts do predict that crypto currencies would sure have good growth this year.  As these two coins are in top list in growth as per coinmarketcap.com, you would certainly receive profits down the line.

if in large quantities and a long time, I prefer neo to be invested. because neo according to I more interesting and bring profit in the future

and why choose if you can have in your portfolio both coins. This is the best option, both coins will show good growth

Neo is my favorite but LTC is much more established...if it helps I got both coins in my portfolio. Unfortunately bought way too high.

For me NEO cause it is more popular and have more support from communiy and whole crypto members so my pick is to invest in neo and try to hodl or trade it for near time.

NEO chooses and does not need to think. NEO is called ETH of China. And it's really good. I think it's better than ETH, because NEO has a very strong dev team

I would prefer to invest in NEO, both for short and long terms. This is the only coin that keeps its positions and does not fall in price.

Nobody argues with you, NEO shows itself from the best side, but Litecoin too can take it. Now it is worth doing only a long investment.

Litecoin I think for a long distance, and Neo for a shorter one, since the Neo platform can be used for ISO its growth will be faster

For the long term I will choose LTC because the stability of LTC prices is more stable.

Yes, but that does not change the fact that neo is developing very well. Of course, you have to watch what happens next to regulations in China. In my opinion, both coins are good for investing in long term.

NEO is the better investment because it is releasing successful ICOs and projects are switching from ethereum to NEO. Also you can get GAS tokens just from holding NEO which is a very smart move. Litecoin is old and has been described as just a test platform for bitcoin

for now should avoid large funds to invest in altcoin, because btc prices have not shown a stable price, LTC and NEO indeed have hope for the future, but should still be careful of investment funds

Litecoin and Neo both are the coins i'm very proud of and they already in my portfolio. Because Neo is a very tough coin and multi invest only with Neo, long-term investment and short-term investment can be done consistently.
Litecoin, i think Litcoin recent growth is less sharp and probably the same as any other coin. But we don't have to worry because Neo has advantages similar to ethereum and one of them is the many ICO projects which have adopted Litecoin.

Both are great projects and hodling both for long-term.  It is very hard to tell which
one will go up more this year so just have both.

If it were few weeks ago, I would say that it must be NEO. But at the moment I think Litecoin is better choice for both longterm and shotterm investment cause as you know NEO is China Ethereum and it's being supported by China traders and investors and also China government. But at the moment China government is banning all activity related to crypto trading in their country so i think it'll affect a lot to NEO price in the future, beside I have no idea how long they will last their banning so I think LTC is better than NEO at this time.

I think both short term and long term NEO is better investment. I don't have anything against Litecoin but it's so old fashioned. NEO offers more and community behind is bigger.

In order to reduce the risks you need to invest simultaneously in several coins. I think that both of these coins can bring very good profits. These coins are in my investment portfolio.

Lots of good replies here. I see a lot of people recommending to hold both and I agree. However, I also feel that NEO will have a bigger pump this year due to its technology is ICO's. however the ICO's on Neo have been failing so far...maybe it will start to reverse.

both are in the top ten line in the altcoins coinmarketcap both are have potentials to grow and give profits for long term investment savings, i chooe NEO because so far i have a little amount i hold NEO for my long term hold, i will suggest to you mate choosing both of them are profitable if have enough money to buy both coins.

For me the better for the longterm investment is the litecoin and for sure it will continue to increase this altcoin. So you can buy more litecoin now and you will gain more profit after few years and for sure you will be happy of what result.  But neo is good also good.  It's your choice what coin is better for longterm.  Just compared the the two coin by making a research.

First of all, I am must be honest that I do not really know about NEO. But I do know is, LITECOIN is good and better to be long-term investment. Even though the developing of LITECOIN may be slower than ETH and Waves, and of course BTC. I think NEO is some new Altcoins that show up in the market. I believe that some new Altcoins is worth investing because those new Altcoins usually will increase in the term of price. But as the wiseman say, do not put all your eggs in one basket. Whatever you do, whatever investment you are going through, just do not invest all your money into one place or one crypto.

I'm seeing a lot of interesting input regarding this litecoin and neo, but in my opinion I really think that Neo is better than Lite in overall category, not just as a currency but as a strong platform as well. Lately Neo is producing a lot of successful ICO, so for me i think you can't go wrong choosing Neo.

Its difficult to compare such to different coin. Because LTC used more like payment method on other side NEO is blockchain base for other App and ICO. For long term it difficult to predict which coin will be more successful. If compare ETH and NEO I would choose ETH.

In fact, both these two crypto currencies are good, and have a future, this is without a doubt. I think NEO will grow in price faster, invest in it better than in Litecoin.

I think neo ofc. Because china support it and china leader for this ecosystem. Litecoin only use for trade , neo is a platform for icos and it has smart contracts. And its only take a point votes.

When it come to holding on short term and long term plus it's feed back on the users, and as you can see their progress on the chart, i suggest foy uou to pick NEO but they are good both, only NEO earn some more point than Litecoin.

I do not think Litecoin is a feature. But neo is not. Ethereum will take its place.
As the lightning network grows, the use of litecoin decreases. I do not like litecoin.

LTC will be stable, but there are many platforms that have faster tps with comparable low fees.
NEO aims to be 100,000tps by 2020 without sharding - with minimum to no fees.
NEO is blossoming and that is with China markets not actively involved.

NEO is a young and very promising coin. The project is just beginning to develop and become interesting. The idea of smart contracts is very relevant today. But I can not say so much good about LTC. This project had a lot of time to improve but the coin was asleep. Now I choose NEO.

for me ltc is for long term investment while neo is for short term. neo is a promising platform, ltc is stable and i hope will soon be awakened and the team behind ltc realized that it needs lots of improvement for it to sustain its place in the cryptoworld.

That's very difficult to choose between NEO and Litecoin. 2 cryptos almost very potent in the future. But if I have to pick one, I will invest Litecoin because this crypto is the same technology with Bitcoin. This February, Litecoin had risen up to 35% of the exchange rate, reach $240. So that I think in the future, Litecoin will better than NEO because the Chinese government is currently banning cryptocurrencies transactions and no longer supports NEO.

I guess its neo for me even after chinese ban on icos and heavy regulations against crypto exchanges. Litecoin is great coin to hold but sorry neo has bigger&better potential for 2018 and 2019. That's me.

This is what I think, both ltc and neo price possibly go higher this year. I will not choose one rather both as investing in different coins is good. These two coins are still active in the exchange and we could earned profit indeed.

Litecoin and Neo are very promising coins,and they are in my wallet,not much!I plan to keep these tokens for a very long time until the price of them again grows!

 Litecoin, which is mined and distributed, has a moral high ground, but NEO is not. But NEO is going to get better.

Litecoin looks superior because its mining does not demand super-powered technology, its transactions are faster, and its supply level is almost 4 times larger than Bitcoin.
However, getting easy and more money can be bad for long-term increases in Litecoin prices. If demand for Litecoin is incapable of growing convincingly, it is feared that there will be situations where supply is more than demand, resulting in a deterioration in the value of Litecoin.
so for the short term I prefer Litecoin versus Neo.

Personally, I will give preference to NEO. Probably he has more chances to take off in price than at Litecoin. Chinese people know a lot about crypto-currencies and investors are supporting them.

I think Litecoin is always better than Neo.
We all know the price of litecoin is raised 300$,So it had a potential to grow up to 300$ at any time.
You have to use the opportunity to inverse in low end.Then only you will get some dollars as a profit from your investments.Neo not have huge potential as like litecoin.

I personally would go with both coins as an investor. It would be really a clever move. Kindly split your investment into two and go with these coins. You have chosen the best coins now to invest. These two coins have shown and still showing good growth. Just check out coinmarktcap. They are competing with each other to grow up. So certainly go further and invest in them on either short or long term. You will certainly receive profits down the line.

I see a lot of speculation on LTC to hit $1000 this year. However, that is only 5x. Much easier to beat 5x growth with NEO.
