The one shown is a bit smaller then the final one will be. The changes that will be made in the final model are seen below 1.) The white top will be black to mach the paint on the wood. 2.) The box will be 10 1/2 x 14 x 4 1/2 inches in size vs 10 x 14 x 3 /8 as shown above 3.) It will have 2 80mm exhaust instead of the 3 50mm on the prototype 5.) The case will be painted black 6.) The fanholes will have a fan grill over them I'm looking to see if their is any interest in this product. before i submit a listing to sell them. The price will be $275 USD depending on cost of buying materials. I may take BTC as while as USD's. current spec's projected for final product. 1.) Size (10 1/2 x 14 x 4 1/2) (with x length x height) 2.) About a 6ft black power cord 3.) 45 usable usb ports 4.) 100 mbit/s Ethernet hookup 5.) Painted black with a black plastic top 6.) 4 hubs will be hooked up thou a squid hub and 1 hub directly to the Raspberry PI 7.) Up to 200 watts peek 5v dc output at 8.) Raspberry PI with minepeon installed will need to be configured for your accounts. Title: Re: custom case for the new bitfury miners Post by: frankenmint on October 12, 2013, 12:41:11 AM I voted no because I would spend more time hankering up my own version...I think that miners would rather "build and tinker" than to buy your case and "be done with it" Same thing happened when I had to choose between a build it yourself reprap printer and just buying something like a makerbot or cubify

I would consider if metal and made to fit fans or built in fans that one can order with or without and better air flow management. this. its an amazing case but it is best suited to a one-off application since most miners will assemble thier own similar setup or are happy with thier wire mess. (plus, if you want to run 40 usb sticks, you are better off getting a few 16-chip boards that dont require all the hubs and are far more cost/space effective) |
