So I decided to do some math to see if deepbit was paying us fairly and maybe my math is off. Deepbit charges 3% right? OK so I checked transaction... http://blockexplorer.com/block/00000000000006a25eb47b2c28151bebab4c1ee1ac9a060df748075f0b14fe55 Payment for Block 50.02197243 BTC Total shares are 3140439 My Shares where 156 Payout 0.00240922 BTC Sounds good right well. 3% of 50.02197243 = 1.5006591729 Giving us a total of 48.5213132571 to share Now divide that by the total shares of 3140439 = 1.5450487418192169948214246479553e-5 or 0.000015450487418192169948214246479553 Now multiply that by my work of 156 shares = 0.00241027 BTC Now I know what your thinking that's like off by 0.00000095 Really dude!? Keep in mind I don't care about that small of amount but if you do it to enough people it's not right. Also my math may be off so I am not accusing him of anything because people can get paid per share of 0.00002661294865101 BTC so on that block I could have been paid more on a per share basis. Post by: talldude on July 22, 2011, 04:20:00 PM The pool operators tend to keep the transaction fees - miners divide the 50BTC after fees. Use 50 as your starting point and your payout is exactly what it should be.

Post by: pennytrader on July 22, 2011, 04:39:57 PM My experience with deepbit is probably slush paid a little bit more, if with the same luck (and yeah, I already took into account the difference in commissions). Could be related to the algorithm as I trust both pools are honest.
