When I started to explore blockchain and crypto I was more interested in this technology, not the opportunity to make money on it. Now i just making money. Has changed is your attitude towards crypto?

I'm still interested in both. But the future of this technology is more exciting. Wouldn't it feel good for us early adopters to know that this is the future. It's right in from us and that keeps me excited.

Depends on your personality,if you are into the technology you wont mind the money that you can earn but if you are into the money thing that would be your goal and time cannot change that fact.As you said you are into technology at first  and now you are into the money you will be categorized now as enthusiast and not just an investor.

Unfortunately yes. Views changed because of some reasons:
1) People trying make money now by creating ICO, but they don't try to create something new, that will change the world.
2) Previous variant is the best one, because sometimes token doesn't even reaches listing. A lot of scam nowadays.
That's why we are loosing our interest.

I have the same situation. Opportunities for earnings are fascinating. This industry has not yet developed, and from here it is already actively raising money. This significantly slows development, many can understand this, but money ...

I never was interested in the technical part. I'm in it for the money. Nothing else.

My attitude has not changed. As it was interesting - so still and interesting. Every day they produce and invent something new.

I think crypto is a larger "than to be boring " field coz there are always new features / tips that be can explored & knowledge quantity that we can acquire is really huge

I was spilt when I got involved and I believe I have shifted over 60% into tech and 40% into money. While I still care and want to make money, it isn't my primary objective here anymore. I understand that if I work hard and smart money will come, but my chances to make the world better for others is limited. It is for this reason, I dedicate myself more to humanity rather than myself anymore.

Find something else to do while your money in an investment. If you think about your coins a lot, you will sell them.

Everyone is interested in money. I do not see anything wrong with the fact that you started earning money. You do what you like. I think it's a normal.

I first got interested in blockchain technologies because of the opportunity to make money. But now, I am breathing crpyto stuff, I want to explore more and more and delve into the deep abbys that is the blockchain. I enjoy it, it doesn't even feel like working. Hell, I know what working 8-16 feels like, but this isn't it. Being able to do something from the chair behind your PC is an amazing feeling to me. And that is what I always wanted and crpyto helped me. :D

if your sole purpose is making money then eth founder vitalik as well as ltc founder charlee said that it is just beginning and crypto is high volatile asset ,
it can be dipped near to 0 any time .
only invest the reasonable amount of money in it.

but its future is inevitable , so have interest on learning this tech .  it is my most fav tech after internet .

Well, I did not really got into the technology before I received my first Bitcoin as a payment for a service. So my first contact with crypto was money, not the technology, I got really into it as soon as I studied the subject of course.

Now I don't really know where I stand, am I here for the money ? I don't earn that much...but that could change, who knows... Am I here for the technology ? I am not a developer and not a coder so, all I can do is help with ideas and concepts but yes of course the technology and the philosophy are interesting me a lot.

In my opinion you can earn money by Blockchain technology, and can also take care of it. Since this technology is not applied anywhere else than the cryptocurrencies, it is best to use it for making money for a while. Of course, you can't understand fully the details of this improved tecnology, because this is a technology of future.

Personally, I always think cryptocurrency as a speculative tool, and never took into account the technology itself. After all, now, technology is increasingly coming to the masses and the course only falls. Speculative games

Why you changed your mind?  Crypto is super hobby for all of us since we can beside just doing it also earn some money. You cant do that if you collect stamps or do you you climb mountains or you do some models.  That si why so many likes Crypto.

At the moment, few people are interested in blockchain technology, all just want to make money, but I think over time everything will change.

why would you change your mind the crypto is a hobby for us and you can collect profits on to it unlike with other job you cannot get profits buy just sitting unlike with others that it is very hard

I am interested in both directions! Who would refuse the opportunity to earn? I think that no one! But there are those projects that actually carry something useful for our daily life, in such projects I put money and I really hope that the team will follow its road map and to implement their ideas! But even here, we can make money without speculating.

Everyone who entered into crypto currencies world they will get attracted by its value and it's unique features and also crypto users has a good value in their future.

I also feel that way, since some countries restrict off-line or online trading with Bitcoin payments. My attitude began to change from those who pursue to learn a lot about her like making smart contract token, then becoming more concerned for trading in exchanges and making money.

Currently, many altcoin and tokens are off, including BTC. I believe all coin needs time to recover. All my altcoin holdings have fallen 70% in value compared to the end of 2017

yes, from the beginning I was interested in blockchain technology, blockchain technology has a very good security system, so it can not be hacked by hackers. because bitcoin and blockchain systems are anonymous.

besides that I am also interested because blockchain can transaction with peer to peer, without any other party. and also I can make a profit.

Personally my situation is the reverse, i started in world crypto(forum) for the sake of making money and conquering material possessions, but now i think differently, the act of learning and gaining knowledge is my motivation to be in the crypto world. However, after i started to think differently, i started to make money in the crypto.

This technology is a development that so facilitate the work of man and certainly will generate more profits. I am happy with the blockchain and cryptocurrency and I will start by now studying little by little so I can better understand about it. But if asked whether the money or not, would be the answer would not it?

I started with the opposite view on cryptocurrency, to earn but its wonderful to see many innovative projects with unimaginable kind of ideas which i never thought, the extension of blockchain technology are fascinating which further enlighten my interest to move my current programming field towards blockchain. Still i didn't earn much these day as they need more like trading kind of knowledge, but still it's good to see projects like Status could be truly deployed and the world would changed just from these kind of application rose from cryptocurrency.

Lolz. This is very true and my attitude has changed the same way. When I started with crypto I was all into its new tech design which I never understood but kept reading all the time. I was happy to check it out always on the forum, github, and miscellaneous blogs. What made me excited was the ICO projects that were being coded on the Ethereum blockchain. However soon I drove myself into world of earning money. There was no single day when I started earning money from the forum itself. New ways kept coming and I kept myself update with it. So my interest into technology soon got vanished. I think there are rare people in the industry who cares about the development of crypto.

Do you lose your enthusiasm for its technology? I don't change that much after knowing how to make money in crypto (or I just don't realize it, dunno :D). I'm still reading my crypto twitter feed like usual, trying to keep up with any development of new technology, market acceptance, etc. It still as entertaining as it used to be, better yet that I know how to make money from it.

When I first joined the forum the only reason I have is because I need money. My friends convinced me to join because I told them I need money to finance my needs. My reason for money stays the same, but the longer the time I spend on crypto I realized that I'm getting more in more interested on projects and ideas, how they work, how will people will benefit from this ideas.

I'm really thrilled learning here at bitcointalk and earn money while learning by reading here and having a conversation with other bitcoiners. It is really cool on how bitcoin and othe crypto works and being a really good investment. The fun part here is while we are really happy to learn new things here at bitcoin, we can earn at the same time.

I understand what author means, when you see  money first of all you are not so interested in technology development itself.
In my country programming was more like hobby with small earning some years ago, but know programmer's salary is much bigger that in other domains,and there are a lot of pseudo-professionals, that came into programming not because of they like programming, but just for money earn.
The same is here. If all just want to earn money, technology will not rise.

I'm feeling the same . I was inspired with blockchain technology and perspectives it will give to a mankind , but now I'm feeling disappointment , because I see a whole army of scamers and people who are not a true crypto-involved , they here just for making a money   :(

I think that the pioneers came here because they were interested in technology, which later brought them huge profits, and with it those who just want to cut the loot. I hope that soon this technology will fundamentally change our perception of life. Personally, I believe in this technology, but this belief is strengthened by the prospect of earning money in this area.

When I heard about bitcoin, I got interested to know about its technology and how it can changed peoples lives. First, I just need to lean more of bitcoin, it's currency price and movement in the market and understand how I will able to earn based on the current market. Later, I got the chance to join in this forum for the signature campaign which I believe I can earn income and my next goal is to try put an investment once I have the capital that I need.

There are so many die hearts fan of the crypto currencies and they really want to invest as much amount of money as they can in this because they actually know the worth of this thing.

However, you really need to give a sufficient period of time to go and study the things in the detailed manner before going for making any final decision as knowledge is the only thing which can help you in changing your mind.

True. It feels good to be early supporter of such revolutionary technology. This is not just technology but, these are also store of value as they work as an investment for many people. It would feel good to see this technology grow and bring some real utility in the real world problems and applications. Blockchain is a technology that changes the level of privacy and security of information to the next level. Decentralized blockchain on the other hand removes the need for any third party interference and provides privacy in transactions.

Well, mine is exactly opposite to what your situation is. I started investing in crypto currencies in order to just make money, but slowly I became more interested in studying the technology blockchain that lies beneath the crypto currencies. I started to gain knowledge, what all is possible with blockchain and what utility are the coins and crypto currencies of in the market.

Now, I don’t just earn with crypto currencies, I also study it and learn about it every day. Its interesting to see, how the technology develops and how it is being utilized in different fields.

At me was on the contrary - all over again I have come to crypto only to earn. But over time I began to delve into the technology of blockchain, and I was fascinated by the study of this technology.  This is a huge breakthrough for the whole world, and I really believe that in the future, the crypto currency will only develop.  And maybe our grandchildren will no longer use Fiat at all.

I think we look a good bounty now. After that, we joined the bounty from our choise about the bounty. In addition, after we joined the bounty and worked the bounty we can get coins. Besides, we can joined a eth token etc. So l suggest, we look a good bounty eth token etc to get some coin ora more coin.

yes you are right just the technology of blockchain is nice while bitcoin is only complement and only as currency only, but anyway i will still play cryptocurrency and will not release or leave cryptocurrency.

It is about you, you can still make a product and money at the same time, but as money looks easy to be made you don't want to choose the hard way.

Honestly that is why i am here in crypto because i want to earn money that is my main purpose and in this forum my purpose is to collect more knowledgeable things about crypto because this forum has lots of learning due to experience of many pioneer member in this forum and in crypto community.

I can safely say that since the first day  I entered the world of cryptocurrency that very same excitement I felt during those times where exactly the same as it is this time. Crypto world continues to surprise me, its dynamics, its trends, everything about it is worth all the time spending in the internet. which you say is true, only the technology of bitcoin called blockchain is very interesting and very useful and bitcoin is the digital currency along with altcon and other tokens, is now starting to enter the digital age so it never hurts to still play bitcoin and other crytpcurrency.

It really depends from person to person. I know that many people are now trying to earn through ICO’s and are not creating something revolutionary and unique, but there are still some teams and companies that are trying hard to improve their technology and make blockchain utilize for some real world applications. There are crypto currencies such as XRP, that are proving itself real worthy by changing the financial structure of payment for banks and other financial institutions.

Indeed people launch tokens so that people will invest in pre sale and private sale, then the coin is never listed on exchanges thus scamming thousands of people of their money.

Though you are in for the money, you must also make efforts to understand the technical part, as the technology of a coin or token affects its prices significantly. Ethereum was of quite low price, when it was launched, but when people started understanding about the smart contract technology that ethereum platform has, it started getting more project and ICO’s on its platform, which lead to increase in its price significantly. You must have knowledge about the project or company you are investing it and also learn of what utility it is because utility decides the demand and demand decides the price of the crypto currency. Therefore, learning is also necessary besides investing.

There are many options when it comes to the Crypto market, in the virtual currency world there are more than 90 currencies for you to join the dance to make a profit, but each money brings different advantages. And the risks are also various.

I dont think any such distinction is a necessary pointer towards a changing attitude. Making money or focusing on it does not take away from the excitement of being a part of a evolving progressive technology.

at least you have that interest as majority of people here want just quick buck. There are many areas where blockchain can be applied to create the value for communities. You can both make money and do something good :)

Wait. Wait the market goes back or drop down more than now. If the price dip more than 50% from now, buy some good value coins. It will go back in 2 years.

All of us need money, so when we find out source to earn it we try to increase our income. So it is normal, blockcahin is interesting, but everything gets  boring when you have already aware of it.

I think that the author of this topic is not the only one who changed direction. Blockchain technologies are very difficult to learn without special knowledge. So the enthusiasm is lost and people switch to a more simple way.

before my first day here is to make money was just my priority but after reading some thread Chere and by searching about cryptocurrency on the internet I realized that I need to gain more and more understanding about it to prepare myself of what will be the thing that the crypto will produce to humanity.

Yep, there is no doubt that cryptocurrency is really interesting for us to take part in it. But I think that most of people who keep an eye on  crypto market,both feel interested in it with the same reason, it’s earning money. I am too, when I make a decision to join in crypto market, I think about the benefits foremost, and before I’ve entered this job,I heard many people who get a big benefits from this job. That’s the strong motivation for me to try a lot to get benefits in this market.

I still interest in blockchain as we are entering new era. If you are just to make money, there is no fun to read so much whitepapers.
