$15 for shipping?  That's more than 10% of the card's price.

could you check if the pn number finishes on them with 230sa or 000sa, I've got a few sapphires, both revisions and the new ones can't be volt modded until trixx is update. but i get 1020/300 out of one on stock. 420 mhash! others are 970ish but that makes them miles better than the 000sa which my best is 1005 with 1.2 volts. these new ones are stuck at 1.088. come on sapphire, update trixx :) I got a beast, might add zalaman cooler to it when update comes out :)

I heard sapphire are making them again due to demand. must be true and I'm guessing your ordering the 230sa ones :)

Damn.. just got my 5830's from Newegg in yesterday shame they were 130 a piece so not terrible, bought 4x and they were sold out after that =O so I emptied it I believe.

I'm in Canada so NCIX is another hotspot I keep an eye on.

Oh well I can get 5830's to M/Hash pretty nice too higher watt usage tho.

OC'd 5830 = Stock 5850 =\.. so about 50m/h difference but 200 m/h across the 4 cards I bought no brainer would have bought those if they were available at time (week ago)

they are not an old batch except for the gpu chip itself.  the pcbs were actually just made this year after sapphire bought off the remaining lots of evergreen chips to sell off for reduced prices.  they have no voltage control but are stock overclocked @ 800mhz and typically clock to around 900-950mhz on stock volts

also if you are in canada shipping for any number of units is only 5.99 right now

I must have grabbed one of these right before you bought them all  ;D

With the card clocked to 975/325 with stock voltages I'm getting 315 m/h at 60C

curious, how loud are these cards at 100% fan speed?

Those actually took a little while to sell out. The may be fairly loud at 100% fan, but unless they are in a case with poor airflow, I doubt you'd need to go above 60-70%. In that range they are pretty quite (at least mine are).

This is still bothering me a bit lol... missed this by like 1 day... hell missed 5870's at 160$ too, that was a sad day.

5850 is like better in every single way =\.. but I guess in reality its all gonna pay for it self so I shouldn't concern my self too much.

you can still get them for $160 here: http://www.amazon.com/Sapphire-Radeon-PCI-Express-Graphics-100282XTREME/dp/B004W75ATI/ref=pd_sim_e_2

it just doesn't say when they'll ship, but you can still purchase them and they'll ship as soon as they get them in

Which is never =o they just want to play with your money more then likely.

Alot of sites keep their stuff up saying they are getting stock but only update the fact that their supplier is actually high and dry on the 5850's or 5870's until you have an order in.

It sounds like the lack of voltage regulation is a hardware limitation, is that correct? I was actually hoping to undervolt mine slightly for improved efficiency. Would like to know if there is any way to do this.

Someone here said you could do so with trixx or whatever (sapphire's overclocking program), though these only use like 150w stock anyway I think

I've yet to figure out how to undervolt my sapphire 5830 extremes. The lowest it'll take in trixx is 1.163, which is the default. :/
