Title: Registration of altcoins Post by: fellahst on March 12, 2018, 12:11:36 AM I would like to know if there is a formal process to register an altcoin symbol, icon. What ensures that altcoin symbols are not already used. Is there an official site where you can find altcoin registration information, including official logo, description etc.?

If there was a database we would be centralizing things again, nothing stops you from using the symbols either. As you can see there are tons of Bitcoin and Ethereum clones, all using similar logos.

Title: Re: Registration of altcoins Post by: Sinecoin on March 12, 2018, 01:16:06 AM As far as i know there isnt a site that does that. With that being said i think the logo is the least of the worries for altcoin devs. Plus its not hard to hire someone to just create a unique logo.
