To reserve shares automatically and for easiest spreadsheet export,
please visit the new DZ Miners Cooperative website.

www.dzminercoop.com

=====================================================================================================

THIS IS NOT A PRE-ORDER. THIS BULLET RUN BATCH IS ALREADY IN PRODUCTION.

Ladies and gents: we appear to have another Flash Sale type situation!
Except this one is even better because it's being offered 40% cheaper than elsewhere,
and shipping is GUARANTEED by November 1 OR WE GET OUR MONEY BACK.
This is an EXCLUSIVE OFFER just for the DZ MC.
 Confirmed by Black Arrow: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=311465.msg3357314#msg3357314

bobsag3, one of the DZ MC leaders and our primary vetted miner host who runs a professional insured ASIC colocation facility,
is now an Official US Reseller for Black Arrow!

Because of this: he is offering us first access to BELOW COST prices on Black Arrow's Bullet Run using Bitfury chips!

We will be getting the very first Black Arrow miners over *THREE MONTHS EARLIER* than Black Arrow's official launch on February 24 (using their 100GH/s Minion chip instead). Bob's paid a hefty premium to get this done in a jiffy and production is ongoing as you read this. I won't mention the assembly partners yet (perhaps bobsag3 can shed light on this) but I consider them to be trusted forum members/manufacturers with good reputations who have already handled a lot of business. I also have a prior relationship with the assembler from other co-op and forum related work.

This offer is at least 40% less expensive than the closest comparable Bitfury 41.7GH/s deal
in the same delivery window of early November.

For Round 9: We will be doing 20 Bitfury boards capable of 41.7-50GH/s each, for a hashrate of 834GH/s up to 1000GH/s.

100 shares will be offered. 1 share is worth 1/100th of the machine's hashrate.

=========================================================================================================================================

Ergo: 1 share = $123 = 8.34 - 10 GH/s + 20 min. UPS backup +
1 month free hosting thanks to bobsag3 with the world's least expensive professional insured ASIC hosting
+ TO BE SHIPPED NOVEMBER 1, 2013 OR YOUR $/BTC BACK!

=========================================================================================================================================

100 96 91 68 54 43 34 ZERO shares available!*

*Oversales are possible. Please order from R10 at our site if we run out of R9 shares.

Target machine is a BLACK ARROW Bullet Run using already delivered Bitfury chips, with boards in production THIS MONTH, instead of their own 100GH/s Minion chips in late February: http://www.blackarrowsoftware.com/store/prospero-x-1.html

Bitfury 16x board (Qty. 20, 834-1000 GH/s):

Size: 134.5 x 120.5mm
Output power: up to 80A
Input Voltage: 12V
Output Voltage: 0.7-1.0V (default @0.9V)
4 x Heatsinks
2 x Fan
SPI conneciton through flexible flat cables.
Power switch
Fused
On/off led

Target hashrate for Round 9 is 834GH/s 1,000GH/s+ with 100 shares issued. If there's additional demand for 40% below-cost Black Arrow BitFury shares, we can accommodate oversales. We have extra A/C cooling so we can incrementally push hashrate further than normal.

40% (or more) Below-cost Share price is: $123 for 8.34 - 10GH/s, shipping November 1 or your $/BTC back! In addition: these BTC funds will *NOT* be touched until the boards are hashing or if refunds are necessary (in which case, you *still* get to keep the FREE hashrate after the refund!).

Hosting/Management fees are applied during payouts every 2 weeks, and are the world's lowest professional hosting/management fees at only 2.75% For Round 9, the first month of hosting is FREE* (* a 0.5% management fee still applies). Thanks Bob!

Your share includes an estimated 20 minutes of power protection built into the below-cost share price. Power protection from outages, sags, and spikes come from an APC UPS with Battery Bank to keep the BTC flowing during short power outages. The DZ MC has even purchased an additional A/C unit for extra cooling, and a Gas Generator for longer outages. DZ MC miners will be run in an extra cold, enclosed A/C cooled cabinet built by bobsag3 and other engineers at his pro colo facility.

This R9 BLACK ARROW Bullet Run using Bitfury chips is EXCLUSIVE TO THIS COOPERATIVE. You will *not* see these low prices *anywhere* else and you will *not* see Black Arrow miners elsewhere on the GB forum at this time. You will be getting early November access to the very first Black Arrow Bullet Run Prosperos running Bitfury chips, instead of Minion chips in February.

Title: Round 9 Payment Details
Post by: DyslexicZombei on October 16, 2013, 08:04:07 AM
Round 9 Payment Details (Similar to R7/R8, for the most part)

========================================================================

BTC Payments will be directed to thomas_s for R9 but I will have co-admin to this wallet for auditing or for payments if we're in a rush. We've worked together on 4 different Group Buys with great success including 2 of the fastest GB sellouts in the forum's history for Industrial class Rigs.

PayPal payments (UPDATE): If payment is being made by Paypal place an order on the site and place a note on the order when you place it saying you're paying by paypal...then give whoever you are buying BTC from the order # and the payment address. Please make sure to send it as a gift to "friends and family." This helps keep your share prices as low as possible (no PP fees) and well as protects us against illegal chargebacks after BTC deposits have already been paid out in November.

If there's any concerns about registering your payment, please follow up with a PM to Thomas or a support ticket. There's two methods to resolve this:

A. Send a support ticket on our website www.dzminercoop.com

OR

B: PM to thomas_s on this site

Subject: DZ HF GB R9, x shares, x BTC
Details: Please include Tx ID, your wallet address for payout, and any concerns you may have about your transaction(s)

==

thomas_s -  Primary GBC for Rounds 5-9. Co-GBC during R3-R7. R2 member. Send BTC payments and questions for R7 to thomas_s . Set up Online Auto Reservations for the co-op! Thank you! PM CC -Redacted- and thomas_s please.

DZ - Need escrowed Group Buy shares? For a 2% extra fee you get 3rd party fund holding, dispute resolution, and $500 insurance per transaction at BTCrow. [DISCLAIMER: I, DyslexicZombei, am an approved Escrow Affiliate at BTCrow.] Please PM Carbon Copy thomas_s please prior to escrow payment.

Thomas is handling questions and collecting payments for R7 via our site (unless you require Escrow, in which case you can PM me). He set up the automated reservation site and the GB with my input. Great work Thomas, and it's definitely an improvement over me trying to keep up w/ an avalanche of PMs and payments.  :P

I will still handle:

- Ordering
- Shipping details
- (Optional) Escrowed GB shares for those that insist on Escrow Protection from a 3rd party for: holding BTC funds, post-sales dispute resolution, $500 insurance per transaction at 2% extra cost to share price. Semi-automated Escrow is done thru BTCrow.
- Remote miner setup
- Remote troubleshooting/
- Incremental overclocking
- Payouts or assist in payouts
- Auditing hashrate vis-a-vis payouts
- Dispute resolution and arbitration, if necessary. [Should be rare as we're all adults that don't need to yell. :P]

Refunds: If we can't raise the funds to buy the full 800GH/s, we'll just order smaller modules with less hashrate. Refunds are discouraged because of the chaos caused in Group Buys, but if necessary, you will be refunded before the miner ships, at a 1.5% restock fee. After the miner ships, no refunds are available.

By sending payment, you agree to these Refund terms before purchase.

Where does this come from? As someone who has ordered Blackarrow units for Feb/March, I have heard nothing about this. I also remember the fiasco of the Lancelot GBs with Blackarrow. Now, their website states they will never do a group buy again and will cancel any order plus charge a 10% fee if you try to do one.

Please explain.
This isn't a preorder from blackarrow they are manufacturing the boards.

The chips are paid for and the boards are from black arrow.

O, okay. Thanks. I just don't want to loose 10% as part of some partial refund if Blackarrow is not okay with this group buy.

Hi,

Can I reserve 2 share please?

Do you still accept paypal like R5/R6? What is the paypal address to send payment to?
If not then please reserve the share first and I will do BTC payment.

I need the shares to be reserved please. I am in Australia and will probably be asleep when you reply. I will make the payment with Paypal (preferred) or BTC in the morning.

I participated in your R6 group buy and happy to participate again for this round.

Thanks.

We wont be doing reserved shares, but there is more than enough hashpower that I can add to this GB to make sure everyone who wants can get some at this price. This is by far the lowest price to get these boards, I other wise charge $1000 per complete board.

As far as refunds go, not sure if zombie stated this clearly enough, but none of the BTC will be spent from the incoming wallet untill I start shipping/ GB starts hashing. This GB will be in the first batch of finished boards, eta Next wednesday/friday.

Unless I missed something while at work each share speed is at 8-10 gh/s. so yes there is a high likelyhood of 4 shares being clocked at 40gh/s

Wow, this R9 is moving pretty quick!

Just checked the site. We're showing 70 shares available. Subtract 2 shares for 2 PP payment sent to -R- this morning:

Unofficial Count: 68 shares available.
Can you make an update to the first post, if payment is being made by paypal place an order on the site and place a note on the order when you place it saying your paying by paypal...then give whoever you are buying btc from the order # and the payment address

Done, thanks. I actually added it to Post #2, the Payment Details post.

==

Also, please note: if you buy 4 shares in this Round 9 at ~$492, you're spending less than half, but buying 80% of the exact same Black Arrow + Bitfury board, at the same hashrate that's selling for $1000 (or more) elsewhere. This is the same exact board & ASIC chips (with the added bonus of 1 month free hosting* ).

Round 9: 4 shares = $492 = 33.36 - 40GH/s (should overclock a little further) Versus $1000 = 41.7 - 50 GH/s, for the same Black Arrow Bitfury board.

It also appears to be a better deal than a $400 ASICminer board running at 10.7 GH/s, which is the next competitive option in this price range. ;)

*Note: 0.5% management fees still apply for the first month of Hosting.

It does tend to make things easier when there's 4 of us sharing the work and we're also getting help from jungle_dave, mootinator, and unknown.usr.

If I was solo I'd probably be on R3 or R4, which I'd be fine with but co-op members and online friends keep coming to me and go: hey, let's buy an MPP Sierra, I have half the funds... or hey, you want to buy a Day 1 below cost Jupiter or two... how about 40% off Black Arrow Bullet Run boards...

and so it goes.  ;D

Ha!

Correct me if I'm wrong but 1 HF Sierra and our Bitmine Rig were suggested by some guy I know that works in finance.

I also forgot to mention the online friend that derailed our R2 Bitmine Rig with an at-cost Day 1, 64th paid, HF Baby Jet with MPP. That was pretty cool too, and threw the whole co-op involved for a loop so that we all re-voted for our choice of Rig (which was an open decision in R2, because I was open to good deals).

It's almost like I should set up a thread soon for...people that want to sell their rigs to us at-cost or below-cost...  :D

Hi,

I would like to buy 4 shares, but I have 2 questions that I can't find the answers to in this thread.

1) We don't have to actually set our shares up to mine, other than give you our pay-to address which receives payment (- fees) bimonthly?  Like we don't choose which pool or anything?
2) How long will the miners be ran for?  I imagine, unless you get free electricity, it will cost in excess of fees for you to run the miners.  When that happens, will we no longer receive any payout, and do you anticipate when that might be?  I.e., what is your criteria for turning off the R9 miners?

Hopefully there are still shares available in the morning when I check for a response, unless you see this before I go to sleep.

Thanks!

Im more than happy to answer your questions.

1) We will probably go with a poplular 0% pool like elgius, or a big pool like BTC guild, or a mix. YOu wont have to set it up, but you certainly have a say in it (if you buy shares)

2) We are working to move to a system where the flat cost in power per month is deducted from each payment, then processed out to each buyer, So the machines will be run for as long as profitable power wise, and or when we decide to sell them.

Hi glongsword,

Thank you for your questions! I appreciate it as I can get too close to the trees to see the forest at times. My thoughts on this:

1) Part of the value of your at-cost or below-cost share is your access to true world class IT expertise. I've been an IT pro for about 13 years and I've designed many DoD certified systems and networks that will never see the light of day, or are only used in labs and field tests, for many cutting edge research projects for about 10 years. -R- is a well paid IT consultant who also may have a security clearance (if I have to tell you...j/k).jungle_dave is a retired EE / Network Engineer (who also knows the exact research lab I work at) who plants trees in the Amazon. bobsag3, our primary miner host, is an IT veteran who has a better hosting setup and pricing then you'll find *anywhere* IMHO.

I've also done well with arbitrage over the years selling CRTs, pre-order Wiis, a BFL Jalapeno at $1850, two July 4 BFL pre-orders at a $100 premium instead of a battle for a refund w/ BFL (lemonade is a specialty of mine).

Our co-op is also different in that we vote on things. I designed this co-op as an amateur historian (80-85% of a US History degree only w/ an IT degree) with the strong belief that the best form of governance is a direct representative democracy, which works as long as people are involved and committed. This is very much a democratic experiment in project. It's working so far.

However, there's been 7 people involved (including mootinator and unknown.usr) that have volunteered time I estimate at well over $10,000 worth of expert pro bono work to turn this co-op into a smooth running (or relatively smooth running) co-op that really is WYSIWYG as we're transparent about *everything* regarding the running of the co-op and Group Buy Round.

===============================================================================================================

One of our votes will be: When should we sell this miner?

===============================================================================================================

This question holds true for every DZ MC miner that is or will be in existence. I'm truly hardware neutral although I admit I'm most impressed with HashFast, and with some reservations, KnC, who did over deliver as far as hashrate even if there's been some unhappy campers.

If you go by TGB projections, you'll note an interesting thing for any of the high end miners: most of the annual ROI is already reached by the 5th to 6th month, meaning: if you could still get some sort of premium for in-hand, used hardware we can aim to sell it here, BitMit, eBay, Coingig, places co-op members suggest, etc., etc.

--

2) Per our last Skype call, bobsag3 won't be able to afford to run our miners past February at current hosting rates. This 2.75% Industry low Hosting/Management fee was only meant to be an introductory offer instead of a permanent rate to help establish bobsag3. With my input, and with backing from a local investor, in this network engineer's opinion, he's now a serious contender for most ASIC friendly and most impressive facility built I've heard of from a "regular forum guy" (albeit backed by an investor) and with me as his marketing/management agent who also double vetted him and assisted him in designing his building and the special TLC being set up just for the DZ MC.

This co-op's facility, with Industrial UPS units and Battery Banks, a Gas Generator for longer outages, dual network connections (including plans for a 4G router/account very soon for redundancy through longer outages) and special A/C cooled cabinet, combined with our low hosting fees and mesh network of vetted network engineers and IT pros mean that the DZ MC has the very best hosting conditions for any ASIC miner you'll likely to come across or hear about.

The going rate for GBs of this type appears to be 3%. I expect other GBCs may have to raise their rates next year. Just because BTC is deflationary in nature doesn't mean that we don't face inflationary pressures when it comes to hosting and operating ASIC rigs.

Sorry, for the length of my response. I'm not known for my brevity of thought.  :D

==

TL;DR: This co-op is run by Kool Aid drinkers that are sick of seeing fellow miners getting ripped off and want to help out the Willie Lomans and other "little guys/gals" around the world that want to venture into ASIC mining (or just want to spread their bets) by giving them the same access to the very best ASIC values that only someone with deep pockets has.

Order #252 entered for Thomas via my site account.

19 shares removed from R1B wallet, converted to 7 shares in R9 with some BTC left over. He had 1 share in reserve so we decrement the stock counter by 6, although he paid for 7.

Some masked man or woman bought another 4 shares (or that's multiple incognito orders) so:

44 shares remaining.

assume I know little or nothing about the mechanics of the whole transaction.

Hi alh,

Thank you and Welcome aboard! Excellent choice for your first GB venture, if I do say so myself.

I do admit to some bias in the matter, however.  :D

I'd say that we consistently offer some of the very best ASIC values available anywhere through our community fund raising efforts where we attempt to price our GB shares at-cost or even below-cost. We then attempt to give our miners the most optimal "home" so that our invisible little miner robots can bring home the bacon, or in this case: sweet, sweet BTC.

I'll decrement the counter 1 before I head to bed (another advantage of our co-op: multiple reps and remote miner admins in multiple time zones). Thomas or Bob will be taking over answering questions/queries in a few hours.

43 shares available in Round 9.

My final update of the night, was delayed from sleep by a Skype chat with Giorgio from Bitmine. He's likes the idea behind our co-op, and the GB market access we can offer them and other manufacturers at double and triple digits instead of four digits USD.

34 shares available.

Thank you!

Send a PM to -Redacted- on the forums, if he's able to do it he'll need you to provide the details of the order (amount of BTC / address)

**Edit there were some orders in over the night I won't have time before work to enter them into the spreadsheet so it'll be when I get home.

You'll get an email either saying the order is complete or an email with a note added to your order asking for more information.

Welcome aboard reznor, davedx, and redphlegm! Welcome back tiennou74!

I'm going to wait to adjust number further than 10 until we hear from Thomas, which is what our co-op's site is showing.

I have a feeling that we're going to run out soon.

If we run out of R9 shares, no worries, I'm going to start up R10 since we're 90% sold out for R9 after about 30-36 hours.

10 shares available.

Hi ipxtreme, Welcome aboard BTW!

Sorry, we'll have to wait for Thomas our spreadsheet master and co-leader of the running of the co-op. We're pretty much on the same page most of the time and he's a massive reason why the DZ MC has grown so quickly with minimal growing pains even with the forum outage.

I just added stock to our site 100 more shares in R10, and this equipment all ships at the same time, so R10 will arrive the same time as R9.

Welcome back wontons! Cheers, mate!

Also there may be more shares in R9, I'll be filling R9 first so if you buy R10 and there are more in R9 you'll be moved into R9. R9 and R10 are part of the same order / machines and are arriving at the same time so it really doesn't matter which  your in.

Yea R10 is part of the same order of the hashpower that's on order. They will arrive the same time.

The only real difference is accounting for us GBC's

100 shares in R9
100 shares in R10

same hashpower same machines sames timeframe.

Technically we could do 200 shares in R9 for it and just double the hashrate but having to keep track of 100 shares per is much easier than 1 200 share buy.

I do think we have more shares in R9 tho just waiting on payment tho, but if you purchase R10 and R9 is available you'll be moved into the R9 spreadsheet (first paid first moved)

Hello everybody,

Just to confirm that we are working with bobsag3 on this project.

Thank you for the public confirmation! Thank you also for letting bobsag3 work with us on this Group Buy.

It's quite a coup and an exclusive for our little co-op. Aloha!

==

I'll wait to update numbers and I'll start an R10 thread later today. Please keep the orders coming in, but please shift orders/payments to R10, as Thomas mentioned.

Here's the link for new R10 Black Arrow orders since R9 sold out in a little over a day:

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=313065.0

Thanks again everyone! Round 9 is officially CLOSED, and another successful round of DZ MC fund raising is in the books.
Amazing!

Please PM Thomas if there's any questions/concerns about your share purchase(s) so that he can reconcile our books and make sure he has your wallet address on record.

Thanks,

I've been having discussions with some of the gents.

We may have to codify a small fee for PP shares.

Whatever we decide on: it's still going to be a better deal then having me list DZ MC GB shares on eBay via my wife's acct (rainbowlady03). Listing on Bay leads to a about a 15% markup while still being at-cost.

You're welcome!

Thanks for joining our co-op and Welcome Aboard!

Quick question: did you order and reserve shares through our website?

It appears that there's a number of R10 buyers that will be automatically shifted to R9 due to either double orders or non-payment of reservations. R10 stock numbers may go up, if so.

PP payment was there when I checked this morning, 3.5909839 BTC sent to payout address for his order.

Hopefully DZ will have switched to a regular PayPal provider by the next time a PP payment is requested.  I know there is some kind of plan for doing that in the works....

Spreadsheet uploaded as there were many orders in this the key wasn't included in the screen cap. So I will provide it here

http://www.dzminercoop.com/?page_id=302

Red- Somethings missing from your order (usually its your payout address)
Yellow- Everything is fine (Not anonymous)
Green- Everything is fine (Anonymous)

The following orders are in R10
251
269
294
295
289
298
299
300
301

If you don't see your order listed on the spreadsheet /it has a problem or in the R10 current orders then something went wrong the best course of action would be to open a support ticket.

So both orders 4 + 2 shares are in R9    looks good.  I may buy some for R10  I will decide on Monday.

I purchased 1 share. Can you confirm I am on the list too?

Hi ipxtreme, Welcome aboard BTW!

Sorry, we'll have to wait for Thomas our spreadsheet master and co-leader of the running of the co-op. We're pretty much on the same page most of the time and he's a massive reason why the DZ MC has grown so quickly with minimal growing pains even with the forum outage.

I just added stock to our site 100 more shares in R10, and this equipment all ships at the same time, so R10 will arrive the same time as R9.

==

Welcome back wontons! Cheers, mate!

thanks. I see my order 258 but no payout address. do you need it still? It is 14PkHaJH5GexLG9P7MYxHRNvZeCq2t8DWX

I would request that you re-check your spreadsheet and incoming orders, because I appear to
have completely vanished. Back on the 17th, I posted to the Forum my order number of #253,
which appears to be missing. Coinbase  seemed to take the better part of hour to confirm
the transaction to me in an E-mail. I would also encourage you to check the "Support Tickets"
on the dzminercorp website. Right now I am feeling out some .89 Bitcoin with little to
no recourse.

Hi alh,

I'm sorry that your order hasn't been sorted out yet. Thomas is handling the order tracking but I do understand that he was having some difficulties with the site re-using wallet addresses of previous orders that weren't paid.

We'll get this figured out. I don't want anyone in our co-op to feel like they've been denied their fair purchase. Please be patient with us, as we're still evolving and growing. We've built this co-op on a shoestring so far, so sometimes our free tools can be a bit clunky. I know that Thomas hasn't had an easy time with some of our site's quirks, so please give him time to sort this out.

We're here to help the miner community, not frustrate it, which is why we work hours and hours for you guys putting together the best deals and dealing with co-op issues, to keep this co-op (relatively) humming.

Our site at the moment is still very much a beta site but we've become to see the limitations of WordPress and its associated plug-ins. Going forward, we're looking at setting up a pro site very shortly and better e-commerce tools so that these unfortunate situations don't happen. The DZ MC is likely going pro.  :)

I know that will please Thomas immensely to not have to worry about the site e-commerce tools. I don't have a timeline yet for the rollout of our new site but we hope to have some site samples soon from the same designer of this site: www.tellly.com

Its no problem, the spreadsheets are based on time paid so the order numbers for the most part are in order unless payment came in later than someone else.

Awesome. Does this mean most likely you will start mining for us today? When  will shares be paid out? Scheduled date?

Thx!
Ill do my best to get them up today, but certainly by tomorrow morning.

When I saw the above tracking info for Rolla, MO. I just started to laugh. I attended the University of Missouri - Rolla (UMR) many years ago. Prior to it's joining the University of Missouri system, it had been called the "Missouri School of Mines" (aka MSM). I think it's only appropriate that a "Bitcoin Mining" operation is in such close proximity to MSM. Something tells me that the Geology Department won't be adding "Bitcoin Mining 101" to the curriculum any time soon.  ;)

Best of luck Bob in your setup of R9.

How can we see stats on how the miners perform? How often are payments made?

We will likely add another Round page to the website which will display a total. Payments will also probably be made every 2 weeks (the 1st and 15th is working for R5/6 so I'd like to go with that).

Cool! It's a small world after all. I heard that in a song somewhere.  :D
oil

Funny that you would mention geography. A funny thing is our newest vetted co-op GB Coordinator, our 6th, isn't even registered here yet but is a VP of his own small but active oil company in Texas. He likes gold/silver and sees BTC as both digital gold and a good hedge. If even oil money is starting to show up in Bitcoin I'd say our little BTC is starting to grow up.  ;D

I have an update: some good news, bad news.

Bad: He's still working out the chaining of the miners. This is important because he only has so many Pis. We're also seeing a little under performance as far as hashrate but kano is working on the cgminer chainminer integration so we should see improvements on that. Such is life on the bleeding edge of a bullet run.

Good: Since bobsag3 is basically Good Guy Bob he's going to make sure that to add a board to our 20 board stack to get our min. hashrate to 8.34GH/s as promised while software issues are worked on. He also managed to stack 6 boards, so far, even with the issues he's seeing.

Bobsag's busy as heck but I'll post some pics he shared with me as soon as I upload them to my cloud photos.

I realized that I'm a little bummed that they're underperforming, but sometimes things don't always work out with initial implementations. But on the bright side this was guaranteed to be shipping by Nov. 1 and we're fortunate to have already received it! kano has been shipped a simultaneous shipment so he'll hopefully be able to tweak some improvements while he adds native BA support to chainminer.

Group Buyers are going to be compensated for any under performance of the 8.34 GH/s mark per share that was promised.

Gents and ladies, a Saturday, 11/2 update:

- Bob's been having problems chaining the miners beyond a certain point which has limited his ability to stack miners as he only has so many Pis to go around. He seems to have gotten past much of the earlier issues but can't stack more than 6 at the moment (the goal was 10 boards per Pi)
- He's blown a few Pis and a couple of PSUs during his testing.
- He's currently up to almost 1 TH (our target is 3.2 - 4 TH, combined from all 4 Rounds
- He's currently short Pis due to them failing, and his overnight shipment of a bunch of extras from Amazon is stuck at UPS till Monday
- We've learned a lot too: Bullet Runs can be messy, best to have waaay more supplies than you think you needed

- Because I promised optimistically that the boards would be running by now, we're going to make up the hashrate difference based on the following schedule:

Rounds 9/10 should be up to 1TH today, the target is 1.68 - 2TH/s: This pool has just started mining, but there's no dashboards set up yet. When mining deposits appear they're heading to this Black Arrow Bullet Run wallet address: https://blockchain.info/address/1JazVMG7E47ceaTnwbGzeGsrAQeURniwZV

For calculation purposes - Since yesterday, Nov.1, for daily coins expected to be mined I'll be using www.bitcoinx.com as a calculator for lost hashrate compensation calculations unless someone else has a better suggestion.

Rounds 11/12 should be running by the end of the day in Missouri by Monday evening: If hashrate is less than the promised 1.68 TH/s for R11/12 by Tuesday morning, then the same calculations listed above for lost hashrate calculations still apply.

===============================================================================================================

We'd rather take a small hit and keep our co-op members happy, then to have upset co-op members due to the delays. With this in mind, Bobsag3 is adding 3 extra boards per GB (instead of 1 extra) in order to improve hashrate and make up for lost mining power for each Group Buy Round.

If this extra hashrate still doesn't compensate for lost time/hashrate at the end of the mining period, then bobsag3 and the DZ MC will be compensating you directly.

Great news!

We're actually at 1.2 TH+ and climbing. He can still do 12-14 more boards before Monday.

Hubs are resetting the power strips but so far, so good. Knocking on wood...

BTW, we can now watch the hashrate remotely here via the link below. Thank you Thomas!

Also, all rounds have now been combined for easier accounting and as a bonus to Round 11 and 12 customers.  :)

This doesn't effect Round 9 and 10 Group Buyer payouts in any way, but it does allow Round 11 and 12 paid customers earlier hashrate access!

Instead of having to compensate R11/12 its easier to just compensate everyone equally.

My shares are spread across 9-10-11-12 even though most are in 9 and the money has sat longer in the coop's hand then my later share in r 12 I do not mind.

some math 9-10-11-12  should be 400 shares at least 8.34 gh each   grand total of 3.336 th  and we are at 1.2 th so  we are hashing at
35%
fast ballpark number and I just finished a big meal and a lot of wine so my math could be bad.  Still want to thank you for getting it up and running on time even if it is at 35%

so we are up to about 2th  and should be at 3.4th correct?

this chart shows 3 miners

http://www.dzminercoop.com/?page_id=302

miner 1 = 1688  gh  that is full speed

miner 2 =  0             what would be full speed? 1680?

miner 3 = 400 gh    what would be full speed?

They are converted to BTC when we have a sizeable amount sent the payout address and included in the next payout, these aren't distributed in the two week cycles.

Im smashing my head against the table, just due to stupid failures. I managed to get 20 more boards to run last night, only for my brand new 1200w PSU (OCZ gold) to blow up, AGAIN. 2nd time in as many months. So Im having to make a run to get another few PSUs. I have on order 25 Dell Server 750Ws, and will be swapping over to using those when I get the updated controllers and cables from BA (tomorrow)

I would suggest to buy one of these:

http://www.alibaba.com/product-gs/568058507/mini_energy_saving_digital_power_meter.html
or
http://www.maplin.co.uk/uni-trend-autoranging-ac-digital-clamp-multimeter-46384

so you can make sure you do not exceed 80% over the PSU rated current.

The Dell PSU you've got are a little bit inefficient. We got other PSUs from Delta and they use 550Watt for the same amount of boards instead of 600Watt as Dell PSU did.
Another problem with the Dell is that it shuts down when overheats and as the fan is not spinning too fast, it does overheat. 600Watt for that Dell unit is too much for continuous usage without a fan blowing directly into it so you should probably use only 10 boards per unit.

We did not ship these to you as they work on only on 220Volts.

You are probably exceeding the internal amperage on the PSU's, over time performance will degrade then the PSU will just die. It is really hard getting multiple miners running on a single PSU even with multiple 12v rails. I ran into the same problem with my asicminer farm.

Nope.

Corsair RM850 Blew  @ 400w from the wall, and a OCZ1200 (that I had just gotten back from RMA) blew @ 625w at the wall. Well within 12v rail specs.

Also I have 12 boards running each on a RM850 without a problem

Maybe there's a bad board or something that's causing power draw spikes or something.  Maybe split the batch of boards up between a few smaller PSUs.  I don't know if there's a microcenter or fry's near you where you can get a PSU from.

Maybe try getting a Seasonic Platinum 1000 unit?  If the Seasonic blows up as well then there's definitely something wrong with how the boards are drawing power. Maybe you can measure how much each board is drawing with a meter?  I'd suspect that it's probably one board that's drawing a lot more power than the others and the PSUs not dealing well with lopsided loading on the rails.  It's worth it to spend more on a higher end PSU in this kind of situation since the lost mining time is going to kill any savings from going with cheaper units.

No offense, but neither of those psu would be considered "cheaper units". Infact the corsair rm850 is manufactured by seasonic anyways.

The problem was that the power supply boards did not like the 6PIN PCI-E on the corsair RM850's, so I had to swap in HX1050's, and have not had a problem since. We should be breaking 2.5thash total here shortly.

This is the address you have posted to GB 9,10,11,12..

What is the distrubution of coins from this wallet?  How do you guys structure the safety of coins  between payouts?

Regards,

Below is the wallet for my group buy of addiction  it is 27 knc miners and some times has more then 180 coins

Philip,

Thanks for taking the time to show me these other GB addresses:

Look at the difference between the addresses you gave compared to the one I posted and tell me why coin is leaving the 9, 10, 11, 12 address.  Your previous GB address coin movement looks normal to me.

The address we are using zero's out, a small problem happened with it (where it now shows extra BTC in it) and created a new address and have updated it to the site.

The new address will have the correct amount of BTC sent to it so the plugin works properly

Also I have 12 boards running each on a RM850 without a problem

getting closer.         4x 835gh = 3.34th  would be correct?  this would meet the minimum   of 8.34 a share.
or will we get it to the 4th? 10gh a share.

BTW nice catch on 8 pin not 6 pin.

The way we are structuring this wallet is slightly different and the first time its ever been used in a GB, the coins can be tracked by the payout address listed on our site which is now 1CR3h3SLewfcYK4XGySe4bgKwXV2VYqvVV

The wallets where the coins go are only accessible by me and DZ, the amount of coins mined can be determined by the chart at

http://www.dzminercoop.com/?page_id=302

You can calculate your earnings by taking what is posted
9.300678 (minus hosting / management if applicable)
Divided by 400 multiplied by # of shares you have

The next week you just subtract the previous weeks from the total received which is posted on the site and blockchain.

Hi,

what date do we get the first payout from rounds 10/11?

Thanks,

The chart on that site seems to have been the same for the past few days, and the address listed doesn't look like it's receiving any more BTC.

Is there anywhere we can see current info?

Is there any way that payouts can eventually become a weekly thing?  I know if you own like 1 share it wouldn't make sense but if you own a fair number of shares it would still be a pretty meaningful payout.  I guess I'm mostly asking because BTC is hitting some pretty crazy highs right now and it'd be nice to have access to mined coins a little sooner.

Or it could be limited to people with a certain # of shares or something if it doesn't make sense.  I guess I'm mostly asking because I own a fair # of shares so the payout is already somewhat meaningful.

It's not my business to speak for Thomas, but I can tell you that doing a payout is a great deal of very painstaking work, because if you mess up you have to fix it out of your own pocket.

R5 and R6 aren't nearly as complicated as R9 through R12, and you'd have a very hard time convincing me to change them (R5 and R6) over to being weekly payouts.  It's donated time - other than the 5 shares I have in R5 and R6 - I don't get paid for the time I spend keeping the spreadsheets up to date and making the payouts.  Same with the rest of the group.

A few hours twice a month is OK, but when you start talking about having to spend a couple of hours every week doing it, it's starting to become much too much like a job - and I already have a full time job that takes up too much of my time as it is.

getting anxious are we.

I sold off most of my in hand coins  over the last few days and like you would not mind see them sooner but this coop is getting bigger and shares are more complex.  1 good thing about waiting until the 15 for the money is BTC may be higher then 400 usd .

I will wait until the 15th and hope for the best.

In the meantime I have 40gh in usb sticks at my house and  44gh with addiction plus 6gh with cloud hashing. so some coins come in.

This info has stayed the same since I first looked at it a day or two ago:

GROSS REVENUE       10.614162   $3099.23
SHARES   ÷   400
NET REVENUE PER SHARE   =   0.02653541   $7.75
SHARE COST   -   0.63000000   $123.00
NET PROFIT PER SHARE   =   0.60346459   $115.25
CURRENT ROI   =   95.79%   93.7%
OTHER
24 HOUR BTC       2.35903100   $688.81
EARNED NMC       31.06335800

It does say updated within the last 5 minutes, and the hash rates have increased, though.

To be honest with you I spent most of my existing BTC buying...well, these shares because quick pay was no longer an option, as well as buying hashing equipment elsewhere so seeing the price skyrocket like that before I could buy the coins back (stupid dwolla!!!) has been pretty damned upsetting.  I would have been better off holding off and just buying like R12 or R13 or something.  *sigh*  My poor selling decisions aside, I would like to be able to at least average my sales prices up a little and since most of my hashrate currently sits with this cooperative that's where most of my bitcoins are being minted =p  Anyways, I suppose waiting another week might work out well, but it might also work out terribly but I was mostly thinking longer term anyway.  Maybe if someday it can be semi-automated then doing it weekly would be more feasible.  I think full automatic poses a lot of security risks so that isn't a good idea, but a semi-automated system that sorts out how much to give each person, which is then just confirmed by hand wouldn't be as bad I don't think.

The world of btc can be stressfull. I did cash some coins back and my hash is spread around.  but 200gh or so of my hash is here and around 100gh is in other spots.  So I feel the stress too.

I would like to cash some more but I have .4btc left.  I will just sit my next payout will be on Sunday the 10th from addiction knc .

It won't be much around 44gh for 1 week is less then .3btc  which means I will be at .7btc btc sunday.

My home mining will be .2btc so on sunday i am at .9-1.0 btc

the 200 gh on this site will be close to

3 btc on the 15th of the month…… 3btc is about 900 usd

It is a long time to wait in the btc world.  i do not have much choice but to wait.

To simplify things and reduce clutter we're locking R9-12 and moving discussions to this new mega thread:

Thanks! See you there!
