Lol,  I'd say that erupter just went bad.

Looks more like a broken erupter. a "high" hashrate is useless if it doesn't mine properly :)

She's down to 8 G/H today. All the time she is submitting shares am gonna keep her going, she probably doing about 70% of normal work at the moment. I thought sh was gonna die when she hit 160 G/H but she's settling down a bit the last few days..

I was wondering how to put some serious cooling on her..

why r u letting her run like this?  it may read high but in end it is only sending at max and prolly less then the others.

That is weird, did you restart your PC or something?

Switched from cgminer to bfgminer on pi. Its 1 of 22 and all others were fine, I marked the unit and had moved it to 3 different hubs without improvement over a week period before updating minepeon an now all is fine.

I had also done some resets before the switch that had made no difference.  weird  ::)

I have 20 eruptors hashing at 400 mhash through a raspberry Pi.

I have no idea why they're going so fast... but they have been for the past few weeks.  Even restarting/rebooting, they go back to 400.

EDIT:: They're getting like 3-4% error rate, and <1% rejected, so it's not too bad.  I'll take a few extra % in errors for a 20% hashrate increase :P

High hash with bfgm and a Pi is a sign of low current to the hubs.  With good current expect to see 333+/- 5 with a reject under .3% and error under .8%.  The hash rate well decrease as you increase the number of miners.  I've had as many as 80 sticks on a single Pi but I get better results with 50 or less sticks per Pi.  I'm running 3 Pi's with 30/30/40 config.  I can try different pool settings and see a difference right away.

Its directly connected to a PSU, so it should be able to pull plenty of current... there are 44 amps available :P

Thank you for this insight.  I believe you are 100%, or so, correct.

I have the new 49 Port hub and had it loaded with 47 Erupters and two Arctic Breeze fans.  Two BE's were showing over 1Ths with virtually no shares submitted.  After reading this part of your post I dropped it to 40 BE's and the two fans and it is finally stable.

Win7 64 bit.
CGMiner 3.7.2

Thanks again,
Sam
