Title: 100K a Coin?
Post by: Benson Samuel on October 16, 2013, 11:00:26 AM
The Baidu news must have started the push.
Looks like it might settle at 10K in a day or 2.

or crash back to 8K.. Nice to see the upwards movement after a long time.

Update
10K came and went. Updated to 20K a coin!

I do not think that this is a bubble. With the Difficulty leap and the Baidu news, I do believe that this price run has not yet peaked.

Let us not forget that the Baidu news is a serious value add, like wordpress or reddit. Gives people a reason to use more Bitcoin.

Lets see how the next few days react. The difficulty leap is too large this time. It will have to have a price impact.

I would be happier if I saw it stabilize for a while at this stage before moving up.

266 was the last highest peek, so it wont crash now.
I hope it will go up to 350 then crash & run in between 280-330 for some time.

I hope it will crash as you cant make money with such upward trend. You will always be left with fiat against btc going further up.

reality is, it will crash, question is when. Seems not so soon.

Last time I purchased back at 142 and 128 and rate went down to 80. I was really disappointed. Good thing with bitcoins it always coming back. At present situtation buying at 142 and 128 does not look bad.

Hard to say how much it will go up, I hope I will be able catch up the train on the way down and sale, next bottom line seem to be 250. At that rate most of BIT investors purchased most of their coins. So probably they want to see it going down below 250.

We are seriously overbought at the moment and correction must be there. this rate of growth is unsustainable by any means.
I really doubt it can even cross 40k, BUT we all know about predictions ( I predicted crash even at 365 levels, lol ) and Bitcoin behaves a bit weird when we talk about systems and traditions. One thing is sure everyone feels like there is train going to hogwards and they are going to miss it. All I know is there is no train  ;D

Regards

Title: Re: 50K a Coin?
Post by: dishwara on November 18, 2013, 12:33:31 PM
The train is surely going to hogwards, if you already in platform 9¾, then you wont miss it.

The price of BTC is actually low at this times.
The cost of mining coins when using GPU's didn't had much impact, coz anyone can buy GPU & mine coins.
But once ASIC entered, the plot completely changed.
Now the cost of mining is very important coz, corporates are in business. They can't mine without profit.

Last time when the mtgox 266 crash happened, the cost of mining is not profitable & miners suffered.
Still, they waited. Now they can't wait. They can't allow mining go without profit & loss.
So bitcoin will reach 1000$ soon.

Also the btcchina exchange is run by brother of litecoin developer.
Btcchina exchange made the bitcoin price to increase.
They wont allow their "OWN" coin litecoin to stay low.
Already litecoin started increasing value & increased from 2$ to ~5$ now. Soon it will also increase to atleast 10$

Yes, its 100% manipulation only.
That's the way bitcoin price can be increased.
Make it costly & hard to get, then it attracts everyone. Same way gold, crude oil, diamond doing.
At least gold & crude oil has some functions, features..... but diamond, except its the hardest natural material available from earth, it doesn't have much properties.
Still many buying diamond jewelry, even though it has no resale value.

To reach 1000$ mark, miners are waiting for a long period. Only now it happening.

900 USD seems to be the highest mtgox has reached. There's a bit more room for bitcoin to grow.

Btc halved from 800 to 400 on btc-e. Safe to say that this price wave has run its course.

600 usd is still a good price to get in for those that have the cash to spare.

Exactly! This is where the entity of the bitcoin itself become quite ambiguous. Is it a currency or a commodity?
Nevertheless, this day goes into the book of Bitcoin history, no doubt.

If you are looking at getting back your value immediately, the only way to accept Bitcoin would be through a processor. As soon as the BTC is received, the processor converts it at current rates and provides INR in bank account.

The other option would be to hold the BTC till the prices become favorable.

In my view 2000$ a coin will take some time.
The value of bitcoin needs to be stabilized so that it can be used as currency.
1000$ mark is both for profit & stability.

Would totally love to retire with a 5000$ price for BTC. Two main reasons I feel

China has a voracious appetite
The amount of money that has gone into hardware, and more is still going in.

.......on a side note, @buysellbitco.in...someone from a place called Kollam, in Kerala and asked me about buying bitcoins and I directed them to your site. Hope you get your stock up soon.

cheers to 5000..

Not really. If prices are screaming up then any price I put on a service will be obsolete instantly=no sales
If prices scream down I'm doing work for free=no profit.

This is not a way to run a railroad. :-)
