Title: mining with video card
Post by: oblinez on March 14, 2018, 04:08:34 AM
I'm mining with a ZOTAC GEFORCE GTX 1080 AMP! EXTREME (3 fan) and the temperature is good, 58C with fan: 70%

I want to buy a ZOTAC GEFORCE GTX 1080 AMP! Edition (2 fan) that is very cheap here

Someone here mines zcash with ZOTAC GEFORCE GTX 1080 AMP! Edition (2 fan)?
I know the speed is 500 ~ 550sol / s but my doubt is about the temperature by having only 2 fan
Anyone who mines with this board could give me information about the temperature?

thank you in advance.

bare to the air, with fan 98%, it runs at 65C using dstm(equihash algo) which I think is a little bit high compared with other graphic cards

Operating fans in high speed will fast kill cooling system.
Buy additional simple coolers and direct to GPU
