People are very cautious investing in Cryptocoins. I know some people are waiting for BTC price drops under $7,000 for them to invest in BTC. Are you also waiting for this moment?

Right now we are not that far away from 9k you will need an even more bearish market for that to happen and while this is not the best moment of bitcoin I do not see many selling their bitcoins for such a low price, so if that is the point of entry to the market you are looking it is possible you will need to wait for a long time and it is possible we never see it again.

That's a weirdly specific value. Did you see an analysis that says Bitcoin will bottom down at $7000? $8500 is perfectly fine for investing and even day trading in my opinion.

Seems to me like this recent dip from $11k was caused by news of the Binance bot hack and the Mt. Gox trustee, so Bitcoin should bounce back once those issues blow over. I don't see $7000 happening unless we get some sudden weird development again.

You can never predict the price of bitcoin. Such forecasts are not correct. But I see that now bitcoin has a great potential for growth. I read in the news that a lot of big bitcoin owners are selling their coins now. Perhaps the fall in prices due to this. Once the coins find their new owners the price will go up. I'm sure of it. Those who sell bitcoins now will regret it.

I just think that no one can predict it's outcome. If you look at the chart https://i.imgur.com/vaD27wk.png you will see that recently there was a major dip which the price went down to $6,656.

I know some people at the workplace which are extremely bitter since the MtGox days, they FUD Bitcoin because they didn't follow my advice to buy back then, now all of these guys are just hoping to buy back in at $1300... yes I said it right, $1300. There's people with really low entry point expectatives.

Im telling them that they must not wait that much because it will never happen. I said that in my opinion, the dream entry point is $3000. They will probably not listen and they will buy back in at $30,000 a year from now.

Yes maybe you are right. It is gonna be a long time wait as of the current market scenario. So all those who are thinking might have to re think their decision and watch out for the market trends yet again and make a re decision 8)

Whilst all this the market is not seen to be stable and maybe such trends continue to slog the market for a very long time. But in the coming months, we really hope to see that there is some kinda stability in the market!!

Nah I don't think $7k is specific. OP probably just chose the next 1000 multiple from the market low of past few days, which is around $8k I think.
Anyways OP if you want to buy then this is good time as any, and being a holder I would advise this at any price lol.

That's not how it works, at least not for me.
On the way down I'm averaging in. Just bougt a little bit around 8360. Waiting for a bit more of a bounce and I will sell that amount again.
And if we break below 8k I will buy more and hold. If we go lower I will buy a bit more.
Catching the bottom or the ultimate low is extremely difficult. Buy a bit each 1-2% we go lower if you can. And sell a bit in the bounces.

No. There is no such thing as target price for me. It will all depend on my own factor and consideration.

Newcomers who want to make an entry preferred to wait for much lowered price based on their preferences but at most of the cases, regret follows. Waiting too much for target price to make a new entry especially on bitcoin sometimes wrecked people's plan and strategy.

If they know the risks the moment they put money, then just go ahead at any price level. When I say "risks" meaning not all things can be favorable to us.

Is there any reason for Bitcoin price to continue going down beside Mt.Gox selling out what he managed to hord? I don't really think so. Lately, there weren't any huge events around Bitcoin. There is no need for an another hard fork. Transactions are really cheap, even 1 satoshi per byte. I don't think that Bitcoin will go under 7 thousand dollars again but it also won't increase unless something that could bring investors attention happens. It would be better for Bitcoin to stay like this, Lightning Network developers won't have to rush.

For me there is no aggravating effect because i stand between the two both as a buyer and seller. So I can take advantage of these two sessions either in the event of a downturn as well as the occurrence of the increase. This is another bitcoin feature, under any circumstances bitcoin always gives the effect of benefit on each of its users.

Well apart from the fact that Google is now banning advertisements, which Facebook already did, less and less people are using it, transactions are going down steadily, the number of shops accepting it decreases, governments are banning it (China, Indonesia, Ecuador, Bolivia, Algeria, Nepal, Bangladesh, Cambodia, Vietnam, Macedonia) or heavily regulating it (most others, last being USA), energy consumption is becoming a real problem and that the maximum amount of transactions is stuck at 14/second, it doesn't scale and that SWIFT said blockchain is currently not usable as payment system ? Hmm.... Not sure if I missed something.

It's a volatile market and many negative news attempt on Botcoin. Personally, I think btc is heading to the went down under $7k. I just sold some in hopes of buying it back lower soon.

Horrible times are coming. Would not wonder if we see sub 5k. Even sub 2k. No analysis, just past experiences.

Well at least it's going to be very good for the environment if we finally can stop with this nonesense. Countries like Iceland are now wasting more energy on bitcoin than on their whole economy!! And then those same people mining bitcoin b*tch at Trump, that's just hilarious. In a sad way though.

It would seem that a lot of people are, the whales will be taking advantage of the FUD from Mt. Gox as well as the google news and the upcoming uncertainty over the G20 summit on the 18th. All of these are contributing to this bear market and it looks like the price will dip below 8k soon.

Horrible times? I see fantastic times coming in! It's impossible to compare the situation back then with how things are playing out right now. The only thing that might justify a slight comparison, is the fact that after a massive bull run, the demand is rightfully decreasing. In order to sustain the market at certain levels, the sentiment needs to be on par, and based on how people see the market technically has taken a massive hit, it translates into a market in decline. It's impossible to say where this will end, but basing it on my analysis of the market, today's dump will likely result in the market to visit levels under $8000 in the coming days. It has broken through a very important resistance level, and we'll see the results very soon.

These countries (beside China) should worry about the state of their economy, not about Bitcoin which was one of the best choice for their citizens. I agree with you that the current maximum amount of transactions is not enough. That's why I said that it would be the best for Bitcoin to stay at this price point. Lightning Network developers would have more time to polish their software and make sure that it doesn't have any bugs. I don't see anything wrong in banning crypto-related advertisements. Most of them were scams or cloud mining services anyway.

Bitcoin would never come that much down as everyone expects, it may come down like around $7k but would bounce back double the price within couple of months. The price reduction as you expect has gone in January itself and there is less chance that Bitcoin would come down to $6k and I personally think that is not possible for this year. Best buy would be around $7k I guess.

Of course even major price correction is a perfect time to buy. Right now we are sinking and trading at around $8300. But if my memory serves me right, the last dip we see is around $5.5 - $6K, so its possible that we can go as low as $7K but we need to look at how the resistance at $8K will hold.

If it hold then for sure we are not going to as low $7K, so I would advise you to buy at the current price because for me its already cheap. You don't need to wait till the price goes to your expectation, otherwise if it didn't went your way, you already lose your chance to profit at the end.

If it what you are waiting for before you buy I think we are very close to that $7000 is here and I think bitcoin may not go below that based on  were we are.  I have also advise my friend today to keep some money and invest when bitcoin fall below $7,500 which is already here.  However,  bitcoin may not come to that level before recovery again.

Like i've said times and times again for me the value is above $10k. It's my personal opinion and I'm basing it on my view of this technology and opinions of specialists in the field. I can see what's happening around the world and I know that we need a decentralized currency and as time goes by more people will see the need for it. Bitcoin is still low on the adoption curve, you'll see it in a couple years.
So, to cut this short, I'm not selling below 10k, I'll wait a year or 2 for the price to break this level if I have to, but I'm 100% sure we'll be trading at much higher prices. Will I buy at 7k? I would if I had any fiat.

Its MtGox again crashing the market, just like back then. Nobody wants to buy coins and move the price up, so that trustee can sell more and crash the market further. I´ve read here in the forum that he will start selling in September 2018 again. No chance price could recover until this idiot is out of the world.

Looks like the best thing to do is to forget about bitcoin for 2-3 years and sell on the next bull run.

I already keep my booking order for sometime in the 7K and 5K. The sooner the better, so I will really have a Bitcoin sale before we heading toward summer and new ATH by then of the year ;)

$6k is a much better price for buy, although i think it will get stuck on 8k usd from the rest of the week, hoping there will no another fud incoming since i'm holding pretty decent amount of btc and it taking so much time already  :D

That is not possible to occur.Now the price of bitcoin is start to stable at 8000$,even this value is far enough to inverse bitcoin.Because we know the status of bitcoin will increases to 10,000$ in two or three .Hold the valuable bitcoin.

You know with the fuds lately it is possible price may went down to under $7k. Were positive bitcoin price may increase to $10k in a few months come. But, these days price of bitcoin is going down so Im still positive bitcoin wont go down this low.

Why $7,000? There's a cluster of volume support in the mid-$7,000s. If we lose this level, it's pretty much a given that we'll at least retest the lows. As Peter Brandt points out, the volume of the selloff (if that happens) says we'll go lower (https://twitter.com/PeterLBrandt/status/974116304549437445). He's targeting the $3,000s.

As long as bulls are defending $7,500+ then I'm cautiously optimistic.

These people should not think this way, the more the price is low, the person spends more bitcoins to buy anything in Fiat.

People are thinking that the price is destined to be very high, so they are happy when the price falls, but this is a very dangerous thought because the price can fall a lot and not recover.

If it comes to the $ 7000 level it seems like a breakpoint. But there's got to be a short-term rise that is entering the end of the week, which will not fall any further.

Honestly, if BTC price were to fall again at $7k level, I would wait for another dip and buy at $6.5k level. There's a very strong buy wall at around $6k which I believe big corporations are willing to buy and if it hits that level, probably a bullish run will be inevitable.

Better to anticipate the market turn around to bullish by buying Bitcoin periodically every time it gets drop. So you won't regret it in case the price bounce back unexpectedly quickly. I still believe it won't lower than $7,000 in the near future. Not now.

I hedge my bets by making several buys as the price is dropping. For example, I may be waiting to invest $1000 after Bitcoin drops under $7000, but what if it never drops that low? In this case, I would not ever buy and I may regret not buying at a low of $7200. My solution is to split that $1000 into 4 buys at $250 at prices of $8000, $7500, $7000, and $6500. This way I don’t worry as much about catching the bottom.

People who did not or failed to invest on bitcoin when the price was low are the once who hope that the price will someday go to an extreme low point so that they can invest during the price drop. This price drop actually allows new investors to enter the market causing the price to go back up further to a new higher level.

As I see it, if Bitcoin price reaches 7,500 dollars, it might go on falling further. I consider this is the psychological mark, but I do not wish it sure.

People who are waiting for the price to drop have this mindset and things don't work according to them, they all aren't Nobuaki Kobayashi. Get over it. Buy if you want or just go away. Really doesn't matter. Because you don't know how to speculate, which would mean that you don't know how to buy and sell at the right time. You don't wish to do your own diligence, so you really don't want to stress yourself for something you'll never figure out.

You are a little bit late with this opinion. All of those people who wished to invest in bitcoin did it on 6k$ price which was just like a month ago. I guess now everybody wait for bitcoin come back on 20k$ At first and then continue it's growth.

The BTC price (https://www.coinranker.net/cryptocurrency/bitcoin) is slowly sliding to $7,000 today. I am watching the price carefully as I do think the price will even go down today.

Now the price is close to 7000, but I do not know what it is that obsession of some traders  to enter at the absolutely lowest point of bitcoin, right now is a very good moment to enter the market everything is down and you can get almost all the major coins for a huge discount you cannot ask for a better entry point so it doesn't matter if you buy some hundred dollars above the lowest point of the market, the most important thing is that you get in at the right time and this is the right time.
