Title: TradeHill - State of TradeHill - We're hiring
Post by: Jered Kenna (TradeHill) on July 23, 2011, 08:30:54 PM
TradeHill is:

Hirin’!

We are actively hiring for a wide variety of positions.  Open areas include:

- Dev Ops/Deployment/Systems (deal with servers in dozens of data centers)

- Computer Security (build a bank that has better security than existing banks)

- Programmers – Python, Javascript, C, … (if you wrote your own lisp-dialect, that’s a plus)

- UI/UX Designers (help us build next-gen mobile, web, and merchant interfaces)

Positions are open in our San Francisco; Washington DC; and Chile locations.

Please send a resume or project portfolio to jobs@tradehill.com.  Include a description of:

1) What makes you so awesome (github link helps)

2) What makes Bitcoin so awesome

3) Why you’d like to work with TradeHill

Applicants who are actively involved in the Bitcoin community will receive preference.
Positions are pretty low paying, you’ll work hardcore hours, your significant other will probably leave you, you’ll worry nonstop about being arrested by the FBI, you won’t eat, you won’t sleep, and you’ll have to fend off hacking and fraud attempts nonstop.

On the upside: We’re a highly experienced, Silicon Valley-hardened tech team, supported by top-notch East-Coast financial experts. We do continuous integration, have fully-automated deployment in multiple data-centers around the world, and you’ll help us build a bank from the ground up. If you want, you’ll also be able to open-source and blog about some of the non-classified portions of the cool infrastructure and technology we are building. And on top of all that, you’ll get solid equity, co-workers who value your input, ideas and initiative, and the ability to work on really changing the world. Join us now while we’re still a little exchange; before the stuff we’re releasing in the next months really moves Bitcoin into the mainstream.
Contact us at jobs@tradehill.com today and join our team.

Raisin’ Money!

We are currently in the process of closing an angel investment round.  If you are an accredited investor with “Value-Add” feel free to get in touch. Financial regulatory experience a big plus. We may still have room in the round. Please contact us at investment@tradehill.com.

Makin’ Deals!

We are currently looking for a few more market makers in our various currency markets. You would need to maintain a large balance with us but we would offer you much lower commissions than the retail rate of 0.6%. Experienced programmatic traders preferred. Please contact us at info@tradehill.com.

And Stopin’ Rumors!

In the next week or two we hope to provide more public insight into our operations at TradeHill.  This includes more information regarding current business operations and security practices, as well as our future development plans.  Additionally we plan to share more information about legal compliance at TradeHill including information about our interpretation of the legal status of Bitcoins, our legal and regulatory compliance efforts, and our strategies for negotiating regional, national, and international regulatory jurisdictions.

Stay tuned!

At the same time it's the most fun I've ever had.
