Title: Trust Settings Problem
Post by: bambarmia on March 14, 2018, 07:04:23 PM
I just checked my feedback and found out, that a person (Scammer with negative trust) called me a Pedophile. Same can happen to anyone here. Some idiot will register and leave hundreds of feedback, accusing long time forum members of being a Pedophile, Gay, lesbian, terrorist.. e.t.c... Now just imagine that someone who knows you (Your friend, girlfriend, boyfriend, wife.. e.t.c..) will accidentally see that feedback...... That kind of feedback, that are not related to the forum and are more than abusing must be somehow removed by mods or something.

LOL. It's not really an issue. Unless you don't know your GF / BF well enough. I mean, it's the online world dude. Everyone calls each other "pedo homo etc." If it really is that much of a serious issue for you in real life, then maybe you need to get a better significant other.

But you do raise a good point. How do you combat negative trust that's frivolous? I don't really understand how to do that.

My plan is to make it to Legendary, but as soon as someone leaves me a negative review, I'm done. The account becomes useless. Years of hard work just plundered into the drain by some guy who signed up drunk and left a negative trust.

What do we do?

Nothing, and you are insane for "leaving when someone leaves a negative"... The account is not worthless, look at mine ffs?? I don't give 2 shits about my trust ratings. I know I'm honest and trustworthy, and so do the users that matter to me.

Just because someone on DT1 or 2 doesn't like you, don't let it get you down. All sorts of bullshit in my ratings, but again, I don't care.

As for anyone else seeing them, again,  zero fucks given.

TL;DR

The trust system is broken and is controlled by several users who manipulate it by controlling stolen or bought accounts.

Moving along now... ;D

It does matter though... I mean I see a lot of signature campaigns that say no negative trust. One day I want to taste that 0.05 btc weekly payment that sig campaigns pay... but if my account ever gets a negative trust... it's over QQ

so it really matters, then, yes?

Do I look like I need crumbs from signature campaigns, and further, they are the rot of this forum and why Merit was introduced. Beware, because if Merit fails to stop all the Pajeets, Sigs will be removed from the forum by the owner. ... So again, it does not matter.

Oh, they're planning on removing sigs if merit doesn't stop spammers??? Well, I guess it's best for the forum.

I wonder how merit will affect trust in the long run. And will people with more merit actually be more trustworthy than DT1 and DT2 people lol.

I like your take on not caring about trust though. :) But then, the same people manipulating the trust system will also manipulate the merit system :/.

I just checked my feedback and found out, that a person (Scammer with negative trust) called me a Pedophile.

The worst scammer of all time called me a Pedophile, and posted in on a scam website.  Then he made two additional accounts to back his story up.

No one believes it.  :)

Sometimes the person might make a mistake, the important part is to have contact with the person who gave you the label like sending a PM with a nice conversation to start, I think he or she will realize her/his mistakes when they saw your explanation or note.

No. It just means that you can enjoy the boards and all that it has to offer; not just the bounty and signature campaigns. Besides, the only negative trust that restricts you from joining campaigns is trust that's left by a Default Trust 1 or DT2 user. "Untrusted" feedback really has no affect on your participation in these campaigns, unless it's obvious that you're a scammer.
