Title: Overheating "Mcguiver solution" Post by: epicrate on July 24, 2011, 06:31:57 PM Well I got a pretty good computer generation about 320 Mh/s. Both card graphic are overclocked at the limit, one hertz more and I crash.
The problem was the temperature about 80 celcius each so it make 160 celcius. Solution ? Mcguiver Fan ! (with oral-b dental floss) It's temporary but work well. Now it's 60 celcius http://a6.sphotos.ak.fbcdn.net/hphotos-ak-snc6/223684_2079757265768_1000130262_32364867_1369800_n.jpg Title: Re: Overheating "Mcguiver solution" Post by: Cidsor on July 24, 2011, 07:43:51 PM Hahaha, nice. Had problems with my heat too, so I had one of my comps in a drawer a little while back. Love the dental floss though! So much better than string or tape xD

Try to make sure the fans have a high CFM (cubic feet per minute) rating. The higher the better (but will be louder and more expensive). Title: Re: Overheating "Mcguiver solution" Post by: compro01 on July 25, 2011, 04:09:42 PM another solution i've used
remove side panel from case replace with furnace filter place box fan blowing through filter not pretty, but damn if you don't get lots of air moving. An aftermarket cooler also makes a big difference |
