Title: Rank question? Post by: kcucchia on March 17, 2018, 12:46:34 AM Can someone shed some light on how the ranks are set up? What's the difference in terms of Newbie to say Jr. Member .. and so on. What benefits/rights do the different ranks attain, and how does one advance in the ranks?
I'd like to join some bounty programs - and I am being excluded due to my not having been a regular here, despite my native fluency in multiple languages, which would allow me to be of assistance to multiple projects when it comes to translations etc. Any help would be appreciated. Or at least check the sticked thread called "Newbies - Read before posting (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1689727.0)"; Forum ranks/positions/badges (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=178608.0) Merit & new rank requirements (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2818350.0) Title: Re: Rank question? Post by: kcucchia on March 17, 2018, 02:38:06 AM I did try the search. And If I had found these, clearly I wouldn't have posted. The forum isn't the easiest thing to navigate with it's circa 2006 layout and there are numerous sections within it. But thank you for posting them here for me, I do appreciate it.
Title: Re: Rank question? Post by: MyIota on March 17, 2018, 02:42:05 AM Hello, welcome to the forum.
Your answers can be found here (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2766177.0). But to answer your other questions, Ranks were created and gatekept because of the spam involved by people who are in part of signature campaigns. Now it's harder to become Jr. Member and Member because merits are required to enter those ranks. Merits are not easily attaind, as you can see I have 0 merits despite being an active user who posts regularly. You can post every single day with 3-liners, and be here for 6 months but you will never make it to Member+ if no one likes what you're posting. That said, most good bounty programs that offer lots of money per week won't accept non-Member+ ranks. Tl;dr: Post well to rank up, not just post. If you post well, signature campaigns will allow you into their bounties. Title: Your censorship disgusts me Post by: kcucchia on March 20, 2018, 04:37:53 AM It's so cool how you guys censor completely valid remarks simply because they disagree with you. Take the below for example. Does this forum operate out of the Kremlin?
Quote from: Bitcoin Forum A reply of yours, quoted below, was deleted by a Bitcoin Forum moderator. Posts are most frequently deleted because they are off-topic, though they can also be deleted for other reasons. In the future, please avoid posting things that need to be deleted. Quote having to wait 6 minutes between posts is also a pain in the ass Title: Re: Rank question? Kenny Hey Kenny, first of all welcome on board. This is a great place to learn more about Bitcoin and cryptocurrencies. In most of the bounty programs, rewards are given as per the membership rank. Generally, membership rank is based on the experience of the member. There are certainly some more benefits of higher member rank, you can check the rank promotion guidelines on this link * Forum ranks/positions/badges (What do those shiny coins under my name mean?) (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=178608.0). However, I don't recommended spending time in bounty rewards because initially one should focus on seeking knowledge in my opinion. Title: Re: Rank question? Post by: fxstrike on March 20, 2018, 07:34:59 AM To earn rank you have to earn Activity point by posting relevant message on any forum thread, but in each period of 14 days you can only earn maximum 14 Activity points so you need about 42 days (1.5months) after posting 30 reply or topics messages here to earn Junior Member rank, please check table below for other ranks, above Junior Member ranks you also need Merit point to rank up as given on the second table below
Here is a table of the activity periods and time it will take you to achieve each rank: (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2766177.msg28250551#msg28250551) Period x 14Days = Potential Highest Activity Earn 1 X 14 = 14 2 X 14 = 28 3 X 14 = 42 --- Junior. Hey Dude - THank you for the information that was helpful. I'm not new to the space, I am actually working on a couple of projects myself and have been actively trying to learn everything I can about blockchain & crypto since early 2016. I am new to this forum and forums in general. So I was just trying to figure out how everything works here. Appreciate the assistance though. |
