Title: Newbie Miner, What are the best coins to mine in 2018 and why?
Post by: mamad xair on March 17, 2018, 02:35:37 PM
Hello everyone, how are you ?
I'm new here, I have been trading cryptos for two years now, and decided to be a miner
so my question is, what is the best coins to mine now (among famous cryptos like ETH and LTC ....etc), and why ?
what equipment's do I need to start ?
Note that the electricity is for free, my uncle has those electricity generators, and told me to start mining and not to worry about that
so please advise

If there was a single best coin to mine, everyone would be mining it all the time.
Depends on your situation and what's available around you.

...
well, that makes sense
a friend of mine recommended mining ETH
6 AMD GPU generates hash power
is that correct?

If I want to mine litecoin , which GPU do I need ? lets assume i bought 6 of them what else do I need? motherboard + Rams + power supply ....etc  ?

Since you are in free electricity, that 6 GPU of course will give you profit, even, whatever device you are using, you still profit.

You can mine LTC with GPUs Rig, but you'll get nothing since LTC (srypt-based) has an ASIC Miner such as Antminer L series. If you plan to mine Litecoin, better to buy ASIC miner. ETH or another coins/Algorithm without ASIC miner on it, GPUs seems fine with your condition.

Monero could be a good coin to mine after the PoW change as no ASIC will mine it.

Get some Vega. It is good for XMR mining.

With RX470/480, RX570/580, with biosmod, if you don't want to take the risk, go mine ETH, it is the best alt coin.
Ethereum has almost best mining profitability, you can sell it day by day or hold.

There are some others new alt coins that may more profitable than ETH, but it can dump or die quickly.

Agreed, you can also put bumps of it into basically any ICO without having to convert.

After the hard fork Monero (XMR) is the best choice for me.

If you're looking to also mine CryptoNight coins, I have a thread about CPU mining here: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2891680.0

Technically, it's the same when building a PC in general but for mining, it has a bit different such RAM it's enough 4GB as well to choose the processor actually, the lowest spec is enough as long as it supports with a motherboard, the most important is when selecting GPU.
