I'm trying to understand why the Facebook and Google bans have caused panic sales of some crypto holders when it's just proving that we really need decentralized platforms and services so centralized bans and other similar actions caused by middleman can't happen.

I'm buying more now than ever just because of this reason. Centralized products are not sustainable anymore as blockchain based platforms are another level. It will be recognized in coming years, then we will be all smiling ;)

buying what? your reasoning for buying more altcoins is not convincing to be honest.
we don't have any blockchain based platform, specially when it comes to ICOs everything will be worse. they all introduce you some illusion. and most of the things you see out there are already centralized so they are even worse than google, etc.

I  am also think it's good news for industry it will give  a push for new developing and  maybe less people will invest in scam ICO. Just remember how many fishing site use google ads for stilling password from exchanges

It's both a good thing and a bad thing.

The good thing: It will prevent investors to join scam ICOs. I could remember Arise Bank looking like a legit ICO and then they eventually ran with people's money mid-January.

The bad thing: It will take organic reach (not through ads) for the ICOs to reach their possible investors in online and social media platforms.

Crypto is a threat to them.  They can't have everyone thinking for themselves now could they?  As the disruptive technology called the Internet changed the way we get and transmit information, blockchain in general will also cause disruption.

Hm, i think the reason facebook and google ban ads about crypto is security reason.
There are many investors or contributors got scammed because too many ICO ads, leading them to find non legit ICO.

But I think the good ICOs will survive in the end.

If they're actually good, they'll spread positive word of mouth and the community will give back.

ICO has been banned from advertising, meaning that many rewards will be removed from social media.

The number of tokens that may be telegraphed and signed will be strengthened.

this is a temporary surprise and I also think it will last a few moments, when some time will come then we will get good news. the panic has made many people become hysterical and they sell the coins they have for a cheap price. until now I still wait and try to keep calm facing all negative news that impact to the development of cryptocurrencies. I am sure happy time will arrive and the development of cryptocurrency will increase again like a few weeks ago.

Google and Facebook are USA sites so some regulations are create the USA government in Google and Facebook so both sites are plan to stop advertisement but still is consulting the future plan. I think paid advertisement only published in Facebook because many scam projects are easily spread the all over world. So they Facebook is restrict the crypto promoting.

Your point is right but most decentralized projects you invest in will not be necessarily good in terms of investment. It depends on lot of factors.

yes you right now more people will not like this news because most of people will be known about new coin in facebook only it is important but now the advertisement about crypto will very difficult from onwards.

I still calm too. After i saw the recent announcement regarding the future of ico in France and i know if that will become a new step in the future. Honestly, people are still overrated about that. If we are seeing what will be taking by AMF regarding the growth of ico and that looks a very wise decision. Just try to make them all be registered in the regulator institution and give them a license. But remember the ico creators must provide a guarantee to the investors. that becomes obligatory.

ICOs and the whole crypto market is taking necessary step towards the regulation, which has to be a good news for the community members who have only the best of the intentions.

This is now again becoming current with Twitter ads ban. Come on people it's not the reason for price decrease, quite the opposite. There are quite few projects that are decentralized and let you target the audience without stealing their data, like opiria and many others...

It is too early to jump into conclusion, the number of scams in the space is very alarming and when one look at the failure rate of some of these ICOs when will ask is investing into these useless tokens not waste of money. For me only BTC is one I can vouch for for now any other thing are just experiment.

I'm actually happy paid ICO ads are banned now. With half of them being scams it's too risky for normal folks that read these ads pushed into their faces everywhere.

Many ICOs to do fail, but that is the inherent risk you take when investing into them. If you expect to hit it big cool, but at the same time you should also factor in that fact you could be heading to $0 real quick.
