This is for a group buy for the 1BTC Gold Plated Silver coins

Costs for the coins will be split evenly depending how many coins you have.

Postage will be split evenly between unique buyers. So if there are 10 people ordering different amounts of coins then postage will be divided by 10, irrespective of how many you order.

If this other group buy (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=304999.0) looks like it might finish around the same time then postage will be combined between all unique users for both, saving everyone a little more. :)

Postage from me to each individual user will be worked out for each person on a non profit basis.

I believe they are the same as the 1BTC .999 1oz silver coins but he has gold plated the B and edges. I think they look pretty nice.

If you check casascius.com (http://casascius.com) you can see they are the only ones offered as of now. I will be keeping my all silver ones for a while now. ;)

These look excellent. I'll have a think on wether I want any more of these, i'm still on the fence regarding the tenths, nice for the collection though so I may be able to convince myself its worth it.

Great, that's all the coins accounted for. If everyone is cool waiting for the 0.1 to fill up, hopefully it wil only be a few days. Anyone who hasnt got one so far should reconsider, a collection is not complete without it ;)

i haven't ordered yet as i was going to give the 0.1 group buy the chance to catch up. I suppose we need a deadline really.

Lets say if the 0.1 hasn't been filled by 7 days from now we will go ahead with the order of this one on it's own. So i will order on the 1st November if that's cool with everyone.

And yes, if you are happy covering costs airtites will be included. :)

I'm perplexed you wouldn't offer it ONLY with airtites - these are silver. If they are touched they are pointless.  8)

I use plastic capsules for my other coins it's just that i have not found one so far that fits the 1oz Silvers nicely. Mike has said he will post some with the order. :)

Sorry about the delays guys, I have been away from home and trying to organise with casascius is taking a little longer than hoped. If anyone is interested obviously with the price rising we got a cheaper deal on the 1BTC coins and I am just waiting for Mike to get back to me regarding the total price. I have known him to sometimes take a couple of days to respond in the past (He is pretty busy i imagine).

Anyway, it is in progress and I have done everything i can for now. :)

Steelboy, how are you planning on sending the coins :
Are you going to declare what's inside ? the value ?
Are is it going to be a plain letter with tracking ?

Maybe I've missed it, but is it possible to get capsules for the coins from you steelboy? Would pay some mBTC extra for that :)

I will send it however you want it. If you are in the UK then i reckon next day special delivery is probably a good move but if you want just normal 1st class and take the risk then thats up to you. I will video the packaging and posting process to add security. :)

I'm from France, I'll go with a plain letter or package with International Signed For (http://www.royalmail.com/parcel-despatch-low/international-delivery/international-signed-for). It's around £11.94 (0,028BTC) for a 500g package.

I would be interested in a few of these if there is another group buy in the future. Missed this thread completely.

The video is something i have done a few times. Obviously it's not gonna stand up in a court of law but in a situation where i have used John K as escrow for example i feel that if the buyer says it never arrives or it wasn't in the envelope, (which has never happened by the way), then i think my video would go some way to protecting my reputation. If it clearly shows me packing up the coin, sealing it in an envelope addressed to the buyer and then posted i think it's fair to say i have done my end of the deal.

You can always open the envelope off camera and do an other one with nothing in it. That's why for me, a video doesn't prove anything.

If the video is a continuous shot of the seller packing an item and posting it, together with a close up of the envelope and the seal i think it would be enough proof for an escrow service that the item was sent and included. Whenever i have bought anything from someone i do the same thing when opening it too.

Yep, still not shipped. I was getting a bit worried but have heard back from Mike saying that the order is definitely there. ;)

I bit the bullet after this group buy closed and bought some of these individual coins myself (no time to organise another group buy; the rolls ran out in no time). I think everyone who got in before he stopped selling them may have secured themselves some gold dust. There were only 700 ever made, and he may not sell *anything* to individuals again.

Ok, they have arrived. :D We have some good and some bad news however.

Bad news first, Mike has only included cases for the 1's and not the 0.1's. Not only that but the cases for the 1's are the same ones i already have and they are simply not suitable. You really have to push the coin into the case and i have cracked a case doing this before. :( I am going to look for cases tonight when I'm home, it shouldn't be too difficult or expensive, I will keep you all informed.

Good news, which easily balances out the bad, is it seems the customs charges were paid on Casascius end. :) This means the only cost of getting the coins to you all will be postage and packaging. :)

Give me 24 hours and i will have more details. Pretty sure everyone should have their coins by Christmas though.

Yep, I like them a lot, probably nicest looking Casascius coins in my collection.

I have a ultra rare version with a gold-plated heart next to the B. It's a tiny perfectly shaped heart electro gold plated just like the B.  Either it's a super bizarre defect/error coin or mike added his personal touch to it.  either way it's cute.  get it for your wife/girl this valentines day!!
