in my city the juvenile delinquency rate is becoming, and this worries parents, what should parents do to their children to reduce the level of mischief

for those who become parents I need your opinion

Here are my suggestions:

1. Treat anyone who commits crimes such as murder and rape as adults, irrespective of the age.
2. If a minor is committing a crime, then punish his parents as well.
3. Take out awareness campaigns in areas where there is a high incidence of juvenile delinquency
4. Send repeat offenders to penal colonies
5. Sterilize parents of juvenile offenders.

In our country majority of these juvenile delinquents came from a poor family. Minors are being used by syndicates for crimes because they are exploiting them because minors are not sent to jail if they are caught but are turned to social welfare offices. Parents should be held liable for the crimes their children commits. Police officers are not always there to protect us therefore we ordinary citizens should be vigilant about these crimes and report to the authorities when we see one.

Nothing else? Maybe kill everyone involved in the crime as well? Then nuke the city just in case?



Where are you from? I would say improve social mobility. Give them chances to change their social and economic situation that don't involve crime. Improve education and access to it. Implement measures to reduce inequality.

If criminal organizations are taking advantage of the loophole, then it should be eliminated. Else the criminals will use the kids to commit crimes such as murder and home invasion in the future and the perpetrators will not spend a single day in jail due to their age. 

I would say improve social mobility.

I adhere that juvenile delinquency is at a rise nowadays. For me, it can be mended by really going into the deep cause for it. Is our lack of education? Is it familial dysfunction? Or probably needing a psychosocial intervention?
Strong foundation like personality development and child rearing should be strengthened and engaged within the family. This way their paths and minds will be straightened and will stay away from rebellion or some sort.

There's really not much you can do about other people's children but you can probably focus on raising yours well. That's really the only way to be not affected as much. Have them educated, keep them busy, check who their friends are. Eventually, they might be able to move out and go to a better community.

We must show our children that we love them so much. They must feel that they are appreciated and supported. We must also give them our time and teach them to be good citizens. With these things, they would not be involved with bad people and they will not commit crimes.

The reason why some youth engage with a crime at a very young age is because they are not guided well by their parent.. If all of us Coordinate well we could solve this problem... The solution start at home the parents must gave their time and proper care for their children because the primary reason why it happen because they are not treated well in their house.... And because of a peer influence why they engage in that thing...

I think its a matter of giving them something to do. Harsher punishments probably won't do much good but cost the system more money. Perhaps a youth center could be something good to look into. If its not THE solution I think its one worth exploring at least. 

For me, since I'm not a parent yet but i see delinquency all around my neighborhood, it would be to teach kids about the value of honor, self respect and respect of community. If kids obey the law simply because they understand that actions have consequences and disrespect doesn't harvest good fruits then they will grow up to understand the law and protect it. It would also help to show them the consequence of breaking the law. Like bringing them to jail and showin the inmates.

Obviously we can't tell the other people to raise their children properly. But if they commits some crime and the parents are defending these criminals, then it is an entirely different story. I still remember a very infamous rape case that occurred here in India a few years back. A tribal girl from Mizoram who was working in a BPO in Delhi was abducted and gang-raped by a dozen Muslims. When the cops tried to arrest these criminals (some of them were juveniles), the entire community started fighting using stones and sticks.

I'd prefer instilling discipline and manners. It should be drilled into their heads that it is in their best interest to be a behaved member of society.


That's terrible. Those jerks are very clannish where ever they settle. Their ghettos become no-go zones that even police are afraid to go in. Sucks to be anywhere that "community". More like a mafia hideout.

Don't vaccinate them - vaccination messes up the imune system, and can cause aberrant behaviour.

Keep them off pain killers and opioids, those can cause mood swings.

Try to wean them away from communication that is restricted to the exchange of photos on mobiles.

Don't let them start vaping. It's anti-social, and causes chemical changes in the brain.

There are a number of other things, but that will do for a start.

Young kids are biologically curious and aggressive at a certain age. The more we stop them from doing something, the more they'll get curious.

There are a lot of proactive ways to prevent this like educating them, talking to them, share some experiences. But when all else fails, consequences followed by moral processing should be give.

That's mostly not true, because there are kids from rich homes who sometimes behaves worse than children from poor homes. Most of the time, it's either poor upbringing or a broken home that causes juvenile delinquency and as usual poverty is one of the mains causes as well.

This is very effective and time-proven solution. It's in Iran.

Wow, I couldn't say better. It's time to make things harder for these thieves, leftist politics have already caused too much damage to many societies. Ctizens are afraid on the streets, afraid of little thieves (8-12 years old robbers), that is insane!

And many of the parents are drug addicted, they don't care about their children, but at same time don't stop generating more children.
People on the streets can't even punch these little thieves and the police can't arrest them because they are protected by the "human rights" and because they are under age. Considered by the authorities "victims of society".

as parents we have to monitor the development, activity, and association of the child with this way your child will not be wrong in the association. and give them a little freedom with positive activities they like like playing ball, volleyball, basketball and others. in this way the child will not feel restrained and we can monitor the growth and development of our child well.
