The new blades are smaller and easier to deploy. The downside is that they can't be overclocked where the old blades can gain ~2 gh/s from overclocking.

That site looks fake, the current price for blades (new) is 1.1 btc PLUS shipping. Nobody gives free shipping worldwide. If they had cc/pp option one could consider...

These are older models so why shouldn't they be slightly cheaper? Besides it says they only have 22 of them. Probably just trying to liquidate. It says they also accept bank transfers. I highly doubt they would try and scam somebody by accepting a direct wire transfer. If it was a scam they would only accept bitcoin.

Write transfers aren't reversible... So let me guess what'll you do if they don't send you your goods? You'll send a legal notice downing far more than btc 1? And btw older blades give 2-3 ghs more so as far as I knew they were overpriced

Looks like scam to me. Atleast their advertisement screams like that.

WHY.?
1) If they says it can be overclocked, then it should be old version blades and not new versions. Because new versions cannot be overclocked.
2) They say, free backplane with 10+ blades. If it is old version, then backplanes are useless. Backplanes work with only new version blades.

So either they have wrong description or they are trying to scam

P.S : I own both old and new version of blades and hence am 100% sure of what i said above.

With some manual modification the new blades can can also be overclocked 3-4 ghs. It requires more work than older ones though...and pricier equipment. The oven for soldering smt parts ain't cheap

I take back what I said. These guys are a SCAM. Just do a quick search and you'll see what I mean. They are just a bad scam. They are so bad it made me think it might be real. I realized that they offered miners other than blades if you navigate their site...one look at that little case thing they have posing as an ASIC miner and I lol'ed. Also found this:

Removing all links in this thread pertaining to the scam site.

I remember raising the bitcointalk scam thread for these guys months ago.

IMHO it's better to watch out the difficulty before purchasing, maybe the item could arrive after a week where the computation is a lot different from the time of purchase. When thinking on ROI, i found cex has a chance for retreat if in case you're just scared because you can sell your share and withdraw the mining profit when the difficulty is about to change. To find cex, just look at my sig.

Also be careful with pre-orders. It might take half a year and you lose money while in transit.
