Hi guys it`s me again, and again I saw this information about the ban, but now for twitter.

BTCTwitter plans to prohibit advertising of cryptocurrencies and ICO, according to Sky News citing sources.BTC

First Facebook then Google, now Twitter is joining, what do you think about the market currency after these news? Is it real or only a big fake news blow before buying a lot of crypto?

I knew it. Twitter will follow for banning crypto advertisement in their page. I really expected that. So what would be next? Reddit? This is crazy. Why all of these companies are banning it? Because they don't want to get involve in a scam or not? I don't get the idea of it. Hopefully they open their mind.

Good. Less scammy ICOs on social media. Also, looks like the "send me x ETH and I will send you x ETH" scams on Twitter are gone too.

This is a good thing. The crypto industry is full of scammers and people who are trying to take advantage of the mania. Weeding these people out and protecting people from them is a good thing for the long term prospects of the industry. Those thinking it's the end of the world are fairly short sighted. This is a good thing for BTC!

I agree, the hype in Crypto-world is very high, and many people get scammed, this is a good thing. Before getting on the top the market is going to fall, but afterwards we will get almost clean community with no scammers. :)

Twitter may ban cryptocurrency advertisement on their system but thus this mean that you cannot make a post about cryptocurrency. Also did twitter really made a statement about this or this could be another FUD. Many are making a move to topple down bitcoin and also many are making false news. Thus we must be careful and do some research before believing this kind of stuff.

I expect this kind of reaction from tweeter. Because there are some scamming projects which use tweeter as their main advertising method. So I think this will be a good move. But big impact on bounty campaigns

There is a possibility that these news are fake, so people who know this kind of information can buy bitcoin and altcoins much cheaper before the blow. Anyway the market gets affected and many traders use it for manipulations on the currency.

Is it real or only a big fake news blow before buying a lot of crypto?

probably they will follow the same path as facebook and google, because in recent times the ICOs have been showing a great danger, a very easy way to deceive and steal people and we are not talking about stealing a little money, we are talking about scammers who are capable of stealing millions of dollars, this is something very serious and dangerous and since they are not regulated at the level of hundreds of countries, it makes more sense for these social networks to move away and prohibit ICOs to advertise their site. But I believe this will not hurt legitimate and honest ICOs because they can use other means to publicize their ICO.

we know, all of them (Twitter, Google, Fb) are interconnected and I'm sure there is a big one who does this,
hopefully, this issue does not exacerbate the decline in prices of Bitcoin and other Altcoin.  :(

Twitter is just planning to ban encrypted currency and ICO ads.

In the absence of any official statement, twitter can also advertise ico!

Even if twitter prohibits the advertising of ico, there are other media that can carry out the ico ads!

Nowadays, we have tons of fake news. So, don't believe everything that you read. Check the source first. But, let's try to consider, what if, it happens? Well, lots of people will complain and those people behind twitter and other social media, would have difficulty stopping us.

One thing cryptocurrency enthusiasts should always remember is that it has actually caused a lot of distruption in the financial world. You do not expect it to be easy. It would be fought with everything available by those that do not want the status quo to change. One thing that is sure is that cryptocurrency would be victorious at the end of the day.

Correct, They will only ban advertisement of crypto currency from twitter but they won't bother those twitter pages of crypto currencies and if they do that it's like controlling people and taking away the freedom to make twitter pages. Those Big names in the social media industry just like Facebook will ban crypto currency advertisements because they will make their own crypto currency and I feel like twitter will going to join this blockchain mania. 8)

Any ban is not good thing for crypto lovers and it has jolted the confidence in people to buy and we saw that market has corrected till 7300$ almost yesterday. though we are now seeing it is regaining back but how long will the party last if things get banned from all sides needs to be seen now.

This is not good at all and together with this price drop, such a news can be a trigger for even more dump of altcoins. My Twitter account is fully crypto related and I am retweeting and posting ICO's t daily basis and as for now, I am not banned.

I don't think this will have a further dip because of facebook and google controls 83% of the ad industry. so twitter crypto ads ban will have a very minute impact .. if at all it happens.

I think this is only a normal action for them to ban the ads of crypto currency because of those scam ICO's etc. the price of coins will be affected but it will recover soon because they are just stopping those scammers and they dont want to be used by those people.

Look at the good side of this "ban issue" , there are hundreds of ICOs that are scam. In that way scams are reduced. we know there are cons too but just try to understand the changes :) widen your eyesight.

these bans are already boring! google, facebook, twitter - you can immediately see that one company, everyone does it to slow the development of the crypto market! but as I understand, Google ban advertising will only be from June! Twitter on different sites write differently, they say that this is not real news! time will tell!

"The good news: The ban on Twitter restricted our freedom, people were not allowed to communicate with the world, I'm very happy that Twitter is available again."

"The ban was a shame for the country, but now it has been canceled, which is a positive step in terms of individual and civil liberties, as well as people's right to information," Ankara residents share their thoughts.
It should be noted that the blocking of the service caused considerable indignation in the society. In the largest cities of the country, a wave of anti-government demonstrations took place.

Twitter was closed by court decision after the resource management refused to delete the account, where compromising information was spread on the Turkish ex-minister involved in the corruption scandal.

Is there really a ban on crypto ads on top social media? If that is true then my FB page should not have ads like ICO, but it is in reverse. There are still many ICO ads passing through my FB page, so I doubt if that is true.

What can we expect? Big websites/companies shared it's sentiment about crypto and they want to ban ads that are related to it so other companies that are also in advertising / social media will do the same thing. This is like a domino effect, so this is something expected.

AFAIK twitter banning crypto ads is not yet confirmed. All the news says "may" ban crypto ads. But Google ban might hurt the industry because that includes Google Adwords, YouTube Ads and many more. It is the resistance guys, I don't think these companies can continue it for a long time.  ::) ICOs will depend on bounty hunters for now.

If twitter followed this policy from facebook and google then so be it. I know their intentions are to protect their users from scam ICO and they need to do that. The real problem is people who panic sell who do not even read the entire news.

Since many ico are targeting social media such as twitter and facebook for advertisement. Maybe it will good news as they will against scam ico's. Cause many ico's are going to become scamming project, we have to create sticky rules to make crypto being better without that. Bitcointalk as one of big crypto forum can still become first discussing information for gaining more info about new ico's project which can avoid people being scammed.

A fool will only follow another fool and get upset by the outcome, I have never brought any crypto based on social media sites, the ads are important here at this forum, telegram. It's not difficult to understand but facebook, google and twitter are dying people are losing interest in them, though google may survive but others won't so I feel this is just another ploy from them to garner attention, this does not effect cryptos in any way.

Indirectly when the major big advertisement place starting to ban any cryptocurrencies ads related, it would be good for Bitcointalk, since it will keep the site be the biggest cryptocurrencies forum that exists on the internet. So, its essential for a project to make their marketing and branding focused on BItcointalk.

Maybe Twitter will ban Crypto and ICOs, but this may not be because ads from crypto and ICOs are the main source of Twitter. If the ban it would cause Twitter to face the big risk of losing a huge sum of money.

Title: Re: Again Ban, but now from Twitter

All mainstream social media platforms will follow that path, which makes sense. In most cases large multinationals don't only purchase ad space on one single platform, but at several platforms at once to have their products or whatever it may be they advertise enjoy a wider field of exposure. It's a domino effect, and one that shouldn't come as a surprise.

Twitter, Facebook, Google, they all have been displaying shit-scam-scum-nonsense ads for a very long time, and that in such a way, that it almost seemed like they were representing the entire crypto market. I am actually happy that these shitty ICO's and whatnot will no longer get the exposure they had previously. Money should be flowing into Bitcoin, and not in shitty altcoins projects, schemes, ICO's, etc. Shitcoins and projects need to advertise themselves to gain popularity. Forks need to have Bitcoin in their name to gain attention. Bitcoin doesn't need that. Bitcoin speaks for itself, and it has always been like that.

As per usual, twitter follows.lol their main reason would be to keep away from scams. This is actually good for everyone. Having this ban would strenghten trust in the sites that promotes ico or crypto. In a way, it helps make us sure that everything is legit. People should not look at it negatively.

I think the ban is just a matter of choice. Perhaps they just choose the ICOs that can not really pass on their information. It is also for us that we will not victimize the ICO scams again and we will not be able to recover our investments because we do not have to chase or blame people involved in ICO because they have not provided us with information.

If twitter bans the advertising of ico and encryption, it will have a worse impact. Now that facebook and Google are banned, if the news is true, it will affect the price of bitcoin. It is believed that the ico is risky, and these social media have chosen to prohibit the occurrence of some frauds.

Sorry to interrupt but I think it is unjust to determine that posts in these social media coming from all scams. Aren't all bounties for example do not require bitcointalk ranks? It is not fair to say that most of the campaigners are scammers. The best thing to do is listen to them and pick the best to spread in the world. Just my point of view.

There is reason for everything, so there is reason for this. If you read article you will find this part:

Both Facebook and Google also banned ads for binary options trading following the release of figures from Action Fraud that showed victims' losses in Britain have risen by 400,000% in six years.

They will all ban ads because of large number of scams and because people are giving money to scammers without doing any research.

Does it mean that retweeting post will be ban in twitter?  If retwitting will also be banned then twitter campaign from services and ICO will be over now. I guess those who rely on twitter bounty that has about more than 50 accounts in all are going to be short by then.

If advertising will only be limited to some sites for only crypto enthusiast then ads are going to be more targetted. Sites like alt forums and bitcointalk and btc blogs will rise.

This could be really a nightmare for every crypto user and people who are bringing new and better ICO's for people. Previously Facebook imposed a ban and Google thinking to do the same and if Twitter follows the same track, then where will people get aware of the new opportunities. I think this is the violation of rights of people as companies are denying their basic rights, if they really want to ban then just ban the bad ones why imposing ban on whole market.

If that's true then I think maybe this is the beginning of the destruction of ICOs, the biggest social media has banned the advertising of ICOs and crypto, of course it will have a very negative impact on crypto and honestly I'm very worried about this kind of situation. :'(

As I wrote in other threads, I think that ban of crypto-related advertisments is definitely a good thing. I have noticed a lot of scams being advertised on ads provided by Google. Now it's time for Twitter where there's tons of scams in comments. Scammers are creating fake accounts with names similar to famous people who have relations with cryptocurrencies. It takes a few days for Twitter to take down fake accounts even though a lot of people are reporting them. They are using bots which like and comment their tweets to make them more realistic.

I think the reason of ban crypto add in social media is too many ico company are in pipe line to join main market most of the fake scam thats why all the social media platform avoid it .

If that's true then I think maybe this is the beginning of the destruction of ICOs, the biggest social media has banned the advertising of ICOs and crypto, of course it will have a very negative impact on crypto and honestly I'm very worried about this kind of situation. :'(
Not at all, investors will turn to crypto forums and other sites which are promoting ICO's.
Whoever wants to find good project and invest in its ICO will find it without searching on twitter or facebook. I think we should think more about bitcoin future, the ways how to promote it and less about twitter, facebook and google ads.

People expect that Twitter will follow the example of Google and Facebook and will not allow the advertising of services where users are likely to lose money.

Jack Dorsey, Twitter CEO, may have a reason to resist this: he also leads the company Square, which recently began offering bitcoin trading bitcoin and
is considering opportunities for investment in the cryptocurrency industry.

What will Dorsey choose?

The main reason why major social medias like facebook and twitter banning cryptocurrency related ads is because of multiple scams issues. Million of dollars are already scammed by people who developed some ICO's and not continuing their projects after ICO ended. So Facebook and Twitter is one of the social medias they are using to advertise their projects and scam people. Maybe this is a good thing because the scamming will get stop and no more innocent people will lose their money in instant.

Or

They are just worried that terrorist won't use those ads to fund their organizations network.

Twitter May Ban Advertising of Cryptocurrencies and ICO?

Hi guys it`s me again, and again I saw this information about the ban, but now for twitter.

BTCTwitter plans to prohibit advertising of cryptocurrencies and ICO, according to Sky News citing sources.BTC

First Facebook then Google, now Twitter is joining, what do you think about the market currency after these news? Is it real or only a big fake news blow before buying a lot of crypto?

Source:http://icowatchers.co/twitter-may-ban-advertising-of-cryptocurrencies-and-ico/ (http://icowatchers.co/twitter-may-ban-advertising-of-cryptocurrencies-and-ico/)

First of all, even the news regarding Google banning crypto related advertisements is not confirmed. Google has not made any public announcement regarding this yet. Regarding Twitter banning crypto related ads, this will not have much impact. The ICO projects her are already using techniques like promotion through popular twitter accounts in for of tweets and that is sufficient.

Good. Less scammy ICOs on social media. Also, looks like the "send me x ETH and I will send you x ETH" scams on Twitter are gone too.
I am not a twitter user, but what sense does it make to exchange ETH for ETH? Did you make a mistake here or maybe such a scam really existed, I wonder, and if yes, what could be the mechanism behind it? How did the scammer get his high ground here?

Good and Bad thing, both simultaneously related to this. Bad thing is Advertising may get costly than usual, and no Twitter Campaign Bounties. Good thing is it will prevent creation of fake accounts or more than 1 accounts of a single person. Also various other modes of advertising will come up and good promising ICOs will get a boost and limelight, as not all ICOs including scam or fake ones could afford other advertising methods.

Actually, this is expected and I've been seeing this to come when Facebook announced that they'll gonna ban any crypto-related ads from their platform. Every company in the social media industry will follow this step to avoid any unnecessary involvement of their companies to scam ICOs that have been plaguing their platform in the past months through advertisements. They are public companies and any scam related news will ruin their public figure in a very bad way.

In a sense, this is a good thing because this will reduce the introduction of scam coins to the public. This will reduce the exposure of the public mass to those scamcoins and will definitely help the image of cryptocurrency. We all know that most people still see cryptocurrency in a bad way.

It's for crypto's own good. All the scams do no good to cryptocurrencies, people will stay away because of the negative news these scams generate. But on the other hand, the crisis created by the banks a few years ago, was much more harmful then these scams and no social media thought of banning them.

Do not care about the negative news from Twitter because it will not affect the bitcoin price. The banning exams from various social media proved by bitcoin by being able to survive and still strong at the price of $8000. Seen from the market cap, investors have started shifting investments to bitcoin and now bitcoin prices have started to rise from the entry of these investors. Be patient as the bitcoin price pumping time will arrive soon.

Most of the social networking sites have a negative view for ICO's. The past experience of ICO's investors is not so good which has created a fraudulent image for ICO's. Now Fb, as well as Google, don't want to attach their name to any such activities which can ruin their reputation.

Whenever somebody, an institution or a company tells you that they "ban" / "cancel" / "delete" / or whatever for your own good it is time to become suspicious. I consider this as a lobby driven action. Let's hope I am wrong but this could just be the start. First we talk about ICOs, then about price predictions (which can be as bad as advertising ICOs) then we talk about cryptocurrencies in general...

To me, if twitter bans it, then its fine. Infact all those who want to ban such ads should do so right now and let us have our peace of mind. One will realize that anytime there is an issue with this ads banning, it always affects the market badly. So why dont all these people just do it once so that cryptos will grow all at once again? Although the rising may be slow, it will be stronger and devoid of any disturbances.

It is expected that twitter will follow crypto and ICO banning after what facebook did. They did it to protect investors and other people from investing in cryptos or ICOs who do not act on good faith. With this, ICOs must be honest and sincere with their projects. If not, all other cryptos and ICOs will be affected because people will think that its not good to invest on digital currencies and will eventually affect crypto market.

That's true. Because with the hugh influx of scam icos in recent times, certain measures needs to be taken to curb the issue. Facebook and Google have already made plans to prohibit the advertising of ICOs with their tech so It's only right that twitter follows suit. Before, Only those that had the balls could invest in icos. It wouldn't have much effect on the market though because those who know what icos really are and know which is best to invest would continue doing so regardless of whether or not Facebook, Google or even twitter doesn't advertise it.

Agree, almost all social media are connected to each other, Google connected with youtube, facebook connect Twitter and Instagram, and all of course have a relationship with Google. If so, they want to reduce the scam rate that mostly happens to ICO's, they will ban all advertising that can harm users on large social media and other advertising facilities.

The giant social media try to wipe them off. And that will make Bitcoin and real crypto project become more stands out.

If you asked me, I believe that Sundar Pichai, Mark Zuckerberg or Jack Dorsey are also holding some Bitcoins in their bags. They are not stupid enough to not to have BTC in their bags.
If you think that Tesla CEO, Elon Musk only hold 0.25BTC then you are retarded. He's just bullshiting around. He's not that stupid to not to have tons of BTC.

Some people think if the ICO is more advertised it means they will get big returns even if that ICO is scam. So lots of scam ICO are now just spending money on ads and not on developing, well the development is not the point anyway for those scams. So removing those ads will help some people to not lose money.

In life, when somebody says you can't do something, you instantly have more of an urge to do the thing you're being told what to do. This seems like a aspect of human nature, pushing the boundary that little bit further. So all of these companies banning crypto will only drive the interest up, it will already add to the mystique surrounding crypto. Bitcoin is a mysterious item so this plays into the marketing of bitcoin.

Why are they do that, I can’t understand. It is only about advertisement? Really? They try to kill crypto market, it is obvious! I can’t believe that there is any explanation. But if it only about advertisement, then big shame on that “BAN” platform. They have to know that; Ban is not true, if they want to any profit, they have to find a new way about that! Ban is easy and the big mistake I have ever seen! I never use twitter again if they do that. For example, I am using only Yandex now and almost never sign in my Facebook account. They always say to government don’t ban to us! But they ban if they want to easily. Is that ethical? Big shame this BAN Company. I hope they find what they deserve.

And they have to not forget; no one or nothing is only solution. So big company bankrupted, erased in history. I don’t use anymore this company and the people react in one way. They will loose their popularity. They will be regret but then train has be gone already!

If all the significant social like Facebook, Google, Twitter banned the ICO ads as well as the cryptocurrencies on their social networks then surely the fraudulent ICO projects would not be able to survive anymore. And then the bounty campaign will grow stronger, and profits will be higher since the Social channel is no longer exits.

I don't think this is an issue. The social media giants and ad companies might lose revenue from that, Twitter I think is the least likely because they're struggling to make good profit. If they do, then the activity of user promotion would increase as it would with its value and reach. Bounty campaigns and crypto blogs I think would be getting more of that traffic lost form google facebook and perhaps now twitter.

Each news that is coming out whether it's just a speculation or a fact it always affect the price. This can be the reason now why bitcoin's price isn't bulling even though the result of G20 is positive about cryptocurrencies.

Maybe they also want to get payed in every bitcoin advertisement but they know a lot of users would not agree. So, an alternate move would be banning such campaigns and advertisements.

A pure manipulation and creating a FUD for the people to think that bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies are not good anymore because they are getting ban from the social media called twitter so there will be a thinking for the newbies and other investors or holders that they will just sell it and that is the time when the whales and the manipulators buy bitcoins.

I think it's a good direction we're moving in, there is no room for scam ico's in the crypto space.
I don't care if any of those ico's make a single penny.

Facebook, Google and Twitter are increasingly tightening on Crypto and ICO ads. That's a good sign. This will limit the scam from the user and bring a stable environment.

Not surprising at all. Something had to give after thousands of ICOs, mostly scams, within a 5-month period.

Too many cooks spoil the broth. Too many coins, especially shill coins, saturating the market is deleterious to the evolution of blockchain.

This is certainly bad for BTC, and not even good for encryption. Both twitter and Facebook have started to ban encrypted ads.

I don't think twitter will be banning Cryptocurrency advertisements outrightly. We should get the motives of the social media platforms clearly. They were not just set up for abuse in/of content. What I believe they are trying to do is to help put a check to scammy and spammy content providers and advertisers.

In our time, a lot of fraudsters have divorced, who are trying to get money out of us with charging methods. Social networks one by one begin to fight ICO and companies representing them. We will be sure that our niche will only grow stronger.

Good. Less scammy ICOs on social media. Also, looks like the "send me x ETH and I will send you x ETH" scams on Twitter are gone too.

Thank god....for fuck sakes it was getting so ridiculous

I quit spending a lot of time on twitter in 2015 when i realized it was pretty much 80% people shilling their coins and then 20% actual good information

its really incredible how big of an impact crypto has become on social media, i cant imagine what it was like with the shilling of bitconnect on facebook..

If the source is reliable, then this may be a welcome development as it should be capable of pushing all scam ICOs into extinction. There are so many scam ICOs nowadays, selling unrealistic ideas in order to collect people's valuable coins - bitcoin, ethereum etc and they simply vanish thereafter.

If this is true then the only option to promote ICO's is gonna be bitcointalk and let's be honest , it's the perfect place for any project relating to blockchain. In my opinion this is a good thing as more and more scam project are coming every day into crypto world.

I think social media is afraid of blockchain technology as there is chances that there will be rise of compatitor for those commany that they want. so they hated it instead support the enovation. But if they just banning the scam one then its good news for market.  market will dump first but then it will rise slowly.

Twitter and Facebook are both American tech companies, and it is likely that they are not allowed to encrypt their money.

When large amounts of money are absorbed by cryptographic currencies and ico, the dollar's position in the world is challenged!

In order to protect the dollar's address, the us has some regulatory policies on ico!

It's only going to be a matter of time before they all start their own crypto currencies.
I agree with you, did not Telegram started their own crypto?? Soon google and every other company will start doing it. I wonder what the heck twitter is doing?
i dont know where do you get the idea of google making their own crypto currency why would they make their own coin for what's the use their services has been free but there's also paid service. twitter did the right thing about banning since they are gonna scam their investors see those crypto ads saying invest on our project now to go into lambo land which is scam.

I sell advertising for BitTorrent and am very close to people at Google, Facebook and Twitter who have told me that from a promotion standpoint (at least in the US) their lawyers see way too much potential liability at this point taking in advertising.   A factor is that promoting a product or service from a distributed network may be hard to track down should there be an issue.

However as people have stated here all of the aforementioned companies will be incorporating crypto-currencies into their offering.

SHAMELESS PLUG :) :):   BitTorrent does accept advertising from crypto products and services.  Our audience skews 74% male, and they are very much of the cord cutting, technophile mindset and already trust distributed computing.  Contact me at worldwide@bittorent.com if interested for rates

I think In a sense, this is a good thing because this will reduce the introduction of scam coins to the public. This will reduce the exposure of the public mass to those scam coins and will definitely help the image of cryptocurrency. We all know that most people still see cryptocurrency in a bad way.

I expect this kind of reaction from tweeter. Because there are some scamming projects which use tweeter as their main advertising method. So I think this will be a good move. But big impact on bounty campaigns
Absolutely right because some of the campaigns actually depends on twitter for the announcement and maybe because of having scamming projects which they're using twitter as well it's good to be band but as you have said it also gives a big impact to those who still participated on bounty campaigns in twitter.

This is a good thing. The crypto industry is full of scammers and people who are trying to take advantage of the mania. Weeding these people out and protecting people from them is a good thing for the long term prospects of the industry. Those thinking it's the end of the world are fairly short sighted. This is a good thing for BTC!

Indeed. It is banned for good reason though. Just like how Bing banned cryptocurrency advertisements. Twitter, Google, Bing, and Microsoft banned crypto ads to ensure the safety of the users since cryptocurrencies and bitcoin are known as 'scam' and 'illegal' by people who don't really know much about these digital currencies.

Banning is every where even on the so called crypto platforms. But the most advantageous part is that the crypto community is very large and it requires that we get a social media platform the solely allows the operation of crypto advertisement. They have rules and so if you violate a single rule, you will be banned. Don't forget this forum is a crypto community one but if you violate a rule you may be banned. let me add this. When you register for medium platform, you are required to choose from a list, your interest. There you will find cryptocurrency, blockchain and aother crypo related info that you may choose from, Yet people are being suspended. So don't be surprise if twitter want's to join the team.

I hope that Twitter will not prohibit writing about  ICOs. Another thing, if you keep at the same time about 100 bounties, Twitter may not like it! Sometimes you need to write posts  on extraneous issues.

I think this is inevitable because Social Media platforms have, in retrospect, similar means of gaining money and maintaining their platforms. And so, whether it's Facebook, Twitter or Instagram, they follow the same strategies, and often, it is through marketing and advertisements. However, when there are so many postings of contents about cryptocurrencies that only make their platform data-heavy, then they are put in a position of accommodating those data versus cleaning up their storage, and most of the time, they would choose the latter for the longevity of their platform.

A lots of people are saying how it's good but I think it does have it's bad parts too.. people who know nothing about cryptocurrencies will get a biased reaction like " dude that's been banned on Twitter and fb , that's something that's bad " offcourse everyone trusts fb and Twitter more and 90% of the population is not tech savvy and more than a half of educated one's don't know anything regarding cryptocurrencies.
So..I think as a first impression it will be bad for them .. banning of ICO's and ICO's are related to Bitcoins ... So Bitcoins is bad.. things like this is something I just heard from my dad and all uncle's .. ( example of first impression by middle aged men) it's gonna be bad .

I think that's just FUD and Crypto's ads are still available on Twitter and Facebook. There are no banned accounts when advertising on Twitter and Facebook. That's just the news of the sharks, which makes e-money investors nervous and sell off their coins.
I advise you not to be too worried about the FUD, anyway the price of Bitcoin will never go down too strongly. Trust your future if you want to make a lot of money.

Do not depend on the governments to do that, that is why they have gotten so powerful every time there is a problem people instead of taking actions by themselves rely on the government to do the dirty work for them, research if the project is any good and investigate the developers as well and if you see anything that you do not like then avoid investing in that project.

It is normal for Twitter to ban cryptocurrency advertisements on their system. But this does not mean that its demand and price will be reduced. But yes, for a limited time, its price will be slightly lower then it will be pumped again. Again, it may be a false news because many people spread their bad news. So after hearing this kind of tragedy, we have to verify the truth.

I think social media is afraid of blockchain technology as there is chances that there will be rise of compatitor for those commany that they want. so they hated it instead support the enovation. But if they just banning the scam one then its good news for market.  market will dump first but then it will rise slowly.

I think Many are moving to overthrow bitcoin and also many are making false news. So we have to be careful and do some research before believing in this sort of thing.
Twitter can prohibit cryptocurrency ads on their systems but thus this means you can not post about cryptocurrency. Also does twitter actually make a statement about this or this could be another FUD.

Are you sure with that sir? Because I see some advertisement of crypto in twitter and I hope no more website or company will ban cryptocurrency. Because if it's continue banning crypto the price of the altcoins will decrease because some people sell their coins and other who are interested will not invest..

Their main reason is to stay away from fraud.
This is actually great for everyone. After this ban will strengthen the trust on sites that promote ico or crypto. On the one hand it is helpful for us to believe that everything is legitimate. People do not have to look at it negatively and do not panic. There are many solutions on the web. New advertising systems and methods will help us,
Everything has a demand will very quickly have solutions and new things come to support it. All restrictions using crypto are a money move to protect traditional banks while if they really use all of Altcoin's to ban only fraudulent and obscure items, this will actually do audience advertising and buyer service ads.

Aren't all bounties for example do not require bitcointalk ranks? It is not fair to say that most of the campaigners are scammers. The best thing to do is listen to them and pick the best to spread in the world. Just my point of view.

This is a bad thing for the ICO project team. The scope and channels of promotion have been reduced. They can only be promoted from TELEGRAM and BTT. This is already a loss for new projects.

I see all these as a deliberate act in killing cryptocurrencies awareness, most especially a means of reducing the spread of bitcoin which most of the power house countries did not want to accept. That's one part, the spread of fake ICO's and bounty programs on these social media also contribute to their decisions as they will want to protect their brands and always maintain integrity at all time.
What they needs to do is to regulate the process of promoting cryptocurrency on their portal and not total ban.

If this is true then the only option to promote ICO's is gonna be bitcointalk and let's be honest , it's the perfect place for any project relating to blockchain.

Likewise twittered extremely created an impression about this or this could be another FUD. Numerous are making a move to topple down bitcoin and furthermore numerous are making false news. The ban has been somewhat implemented but not outrightly banning everything cryptocurrency from Facebook especially. I recently got blocked from posting on Facebook some few days ago because of a cryptocurrency repost I shared. I wasn't pre-warned about it but an immediate 24hour ban was implemented on my action. I have since then been more careful with my repost and noted that Facebook is serious with their cryptocurrency ban ethics.

I think it's a good direction we're moving in, there is no room for scam ico's in the crypto space.
I don't care if any of those ico's make a single penny.

In my opinion, it's just an issue. As happened before on facebook and google. If facebook is really forbidden to advertise crypto currency and ICO but why there is still a facebook campaign in bounty campaign. I was still able to access news about crypto and ICO via google. Even now, twitter is also still used as a media bounty campaign. So, in my opinion it's just a mere issue to drop the crypto currency so that the trust of the public against the crypto currency is getting lost. I think that's part of the strategy of destruction.

It's about advertising related to cryptocurrencies, not about account related to cryptos. It means Twitter doesn't accept to buy an advertisement campaign to promote but it has no problem with an account talking about cryptos. It would be ridiculous if they close all accounts that talk about something related to crypto/blockchain

I was listening to some of the World Blockchain Forum Security Token & ICO conference in NY this pass week. Polymath corp has some very interesting points about why social media is blocking ICO blockchain. You should watch the video on YouTube he made some very valid points. Plus a lot of ICO, Blockchain summits and conferences are not being streamed live anymore. I do not know why is this a big of a deal since this is also the fault of these ICO projects. There is a lot of scam projects, projects that do not want really to release their coins but to just get money from investors that they have. If I am the head of Twitter, I would do the same. It is not that I don't want crypto currencies into my site but it is that I do not want my users to complaining about accepting these crypto currencies ads then just fall their money into these scammers.

Social media sites like the Facebook and Twitter are the leading social media sites that millions of people are using everyday, every hour, every minute and even every seconds of their life. That is why the banning of crypto advertising in the Facebook and Twitter is huge loss to us crypto people.

I hope that Twitter will not ban bitcoin because it affects the campaigns in social media and airdrop. I hope that this news is not true because many people joins Twitter campaigns and they might lose rewards in the campaign if it is banned.

As the price of bitcoin peaked, there were consecutive bans. However, many firms are gradually removing bans. Facebook then, on Twitter I think can remove the ban soon.

Are you certain with that sir? because I see a few advertisement of crypto in twitter and that i hope no greater website or company will ban cryptocurrency. because if it is retain banning crypto the fee of the altcoins will decrease because a few human beings promote their cash and other who are involved will now not make investments..

I'm not so sure that the people who actually want to get into cryptocurrencies go to Twitter or Facebook to look for some information, especially if it's about advertisements. And probably soon those social networks will understand that anyway they are losing potential money.

facebook has now lifted the ban and started advertising for the ICO project and the altcoins. So I thought the rumor was just a news story and it was not accurate. Please wait for the correct information from Twitter.
But I think they will not be so stupid. Cryptocurrency is a potential market and Twitter is always profitable when advertising.

does this look familiar? ,first they tried to influence the world governments to ban the crypto and that didn't work , now the ""anti bitcoin consortium"" has changed focus to try and drown out the advertising mechanism of bitcoins with the hope that no one else will ""buy"" into it, it us however a little too late as even people in Jamaica are trading and transacting in bitcoins .It has gained traction so  we just need to develop our own marketing strategies now.

Politics and government want to ban bitcoin offer a simple reason. They want to have part of our money in the pockets. And they want to know how many you earn and how many people are earning using Bitcoin.

News about the ban on bitcoin ads on twitter is still unclear. But this can affect the price of bitcoin in the market. Do not be too worried, be petient. You can still invest in Bitcoin in low price.

It is expected that twitter will follow crypto and ICO banning after what facebook did. They did it to protect investors and other people from investing in cryptos or ICOs who do not act on good faith. With this, ICOs must be honest and sincere with their projects.

This is a good thing. The crypto industry is full of scammers. Protecting people from them is a good thing for the long-term prospects of the Bitcoin industry. Those who think like that are the end of a world that looks very short. This is good for BTC!

Banning in cryptocurrency is now a norm. Google banned cryptocurrency, followed by Facebook now twitter. If twitter ban happens I think it will have an effect on cryptocurrency community. Twitter being where most of the news and information happens and many depend on it for so many stuffs. But let's not forget that a cryptocurrency ban on Twitter will also have an effect on the platform, it will drastically reduce the traffic on the site.

"Plans" and "may" are not very strong words. They are often translated from Journalistish to English as "we don't have any news, but everything is possible, so why not put this on the frontpage?".

And if Twitter really does something like this it may be really good - because it will encourage people to create and maintain decentralised, goverment- and corporate-independent solutions instead of Twitter and Facebook.

it might be good to reduce SCAMMER.
but it shouldn't be banned because Tweeter is a Social Media giant.

maybe it is more appropriate to filter out all ICO advertisements that are in doubt.

One more news which could affect the market of crypto. Current market conditions are very bad, if more and more social media that keeps banded crypto I fear prices will collapse. But we can't blame twitter because there many of the scamer, so I think twitter doing this to protect its users. I hope in future there will be clear rules about cryptocurrency so that it will cause a rise the trust of cryptocurrency, so prices do not continue to be bearish.

This certainly has a huge impact on the price of Bitcoin and Altcoin expects this news to soon overtake Bitcoin and Altcoin will return the usual price that we expected. Even the medium is called the enabling medium. The publishers of electronic money articles are currently suspending users to publish these articles. This is bad when Facebook has banned Bitcoin and twitter started.

It will be a good move IMO because nowadays, hundreds scam ICO's are being broadcast on social media eveyday . In doing this, being scammed can be prevented. Because many people on social media like twitter dont know anything from crypto. That's why if they see 500%  or 1000% up, they join that immediately without thinking and researching about that thing.

Facebook and Twitter did not ban cryptocurrency totally. There is an alternative way to promote in twitter and facebook ads. Something you need to be ignored or you have to be tricky to promote on those platforms. Last month I made a facebook ads about an ICO, some popular ICO ads showing up on facebook and twitter. So, we can see they haven't banned fully crypto yet!

Do not worry for it will be for the mean time. There are things that needs to.be consider when your country has the problem of cryptocurrency so that is why they will ask facebook, media to ban cryptocurrency ads. However, if there will be decisions to make then probably there would be lifting with the bans if found cryptocurrency would do no harm or if the system has aleady set with guidelines, rules and regulations and has implemented the process.

The only reasons why Twitter, Facebook, and Google banned advertising of Cryptocurrencise and ICO, because there are so many cases which the new ICO already promoting in the Twitter, Facebook, and also Google, but the ICO or the new cryptocurrencies are scam. So, thats why Twitter, Facebook, and Google are decided to ban that thing from their advertisement. Because the don't know how to make sure that ICO is not a scam one.

I think the current ban on the circulation and use of bitcoin or cryptocurrency in various countries is not an information that can make a lot of panic, even though there are still some who panic but this human being can learn it for sure it's just a conspiracy to make the price of bitcoin and some cryptocurrency falls like this.

It's because of the fake news and fake ICOs which creates scams and steals money from people but it may cause a drop in cryptocurrency because the little people knew about the little will invest so I think they should not ban the advertising campaign they should recognize the scammers and should ban them.

They did jump on banning initially however that will be a temporary go to my analysis because many social media like Facebook revenues are at a high margin due to advertising functionality network in our digital economy so with few restrictions even twitter will be back to normal state.

This is really bad for the crypo world and without a true solid reason social media sites are making these kind of restrictions against crypto is unimaginable and this makes good projects to disappear even without stepping out to the real world because most ICO projects are attracting new desired investors through social media sites like Twitter and Facebook so closing those paths make a huge negative impact to promote them and I hope it won't continue in the future

After google facebook to twitter forbidden advertising virtual currency, Bitcoin prices plummeted. By this time, Bitcoin prices have fallen sharply compared to the beginning of the year. The advertising ban on virtual currency that Twitter launched is an important factor that made Bitcoin sell off aggressively

Twitter has added a new virtual currency-related advertising policy to ensure the safety of the social networking community. Accordingly, advertising for ICOs or selling tokens will be banned on Twitter, to prevent fraud through these tools.
However, the new policy still allows ads for virtual currency transactions or secure "e-wallet" services provided by companies listed on some major exchanges.

You won't really blame companies who update their advertisement policies against crypto adverts. The noise, the tension, pressure and everything it brings to the table is too much. So many fake accounts created on this social media and people falling prey for all their tricks and shines. If there will be a way to rest the riot and craziness of all this and have a near perfect system, monitored, regulated and supported by the government, with a lot of policy to it, then bigger companies can let it be discussed freely on their sites then. I heard facebook has banned its ads, and some other networks have done so too, that's to show its chaos and ill regulated policy.

actually we can't 100% trust the expert analysts out there, because basically what we invest is our own money where we will have a different psychology if we follow the analyst's advice 100% therefore you should start learning how to analyze both technically and fundamentally correctly, in order to predict accurately the movement of BTC prices in the future

These giants are too greedy when it comes to money and will do anything by any means necessary. I know that Facebook is already planning to make their own crypto currency to sponge out money from every investor that will get hooked by their baits, And now Twitter might follow this with the same greed in their hearts.
It's already October now and I still don't hear any news about the ban that will occur on the Twitter platform or maybe they have changed their plans because that action is not good for their image just like Facebook did, they already lifted the ban months ago.
Banning crypto currency advertisements such as ICO's (Initial Coin Offerings) on social media platforms won't help them if they plan to make their own crypto currency and start an ICO in the future.  8)

Such bans usually concern paid mass advertising. If you advertise on your page, only your subscribers see this ad and the ban usually does not apply to it. From the moment of publication of this news and up to this point, no one sent me warnings about violations of the rules of Twitter.

youtube part of google.
Its good what twiter ban crypto, too many fake accounts there already with huge followers for bounty campaigns
The news is not good for bitcoin, but it is a fact that after Google, Facebook, Twitter now prohibits bitcoin ads on their pages. Much can be drawn from this lesson, that there are still weaknesses in bitcoin that make some countries reject bitcoin and some large companies also reject bitcoin. One of them is the owner of bitcoin, which is anonymous, making it vulnerable to be used for criminals.

I think that is true, but I don't think it will have a big effect on bitcoin price, maybe a little, but in my opinion, it will still have an average price for $6000 - $6500, and I think it is not a bad price at the moment. You really need to be very careful with Twitter because they don't like people spamming retweets regularly about ICOS. I had my last twitter account banned now and what I do is only use it sparingly now when I want to do the odd retweet about a coin I hold or a personal tweet. Otherwise now forget trying to do a twitter account for bounties, unless you tweet other things in between and don't do more than 2-3 campaigns maximum at a time. I do not use now my twitter for earning from ICOS anymore.

October 2018 - and here we are, still no bans  ;)
There  have several accusations of bans by reputable social media companies and I believe this has contributed to people losing confidence in the world of crypto. Most of these accusations has not been well established with facts. The issue is  most of these social media handlers are liberal but they would not entertain spamming on their platforms.

this ban stories or rather rumours are not true. twitter wont ban completely, they will just put on some security measures in place to bounce off scam ICOs and so make strict rules which must be adhere to for any form of cryptocurrency advert

What Twitter is doing is similar to what Facebook has done. Why do they do that? Because the number of scam ICO projects increased significantly, so they did not want to relate to it

you're right because there are a lot of ico fraud ads on the internet, you can see how often ico ads are on youtube, instagram and so on. I don't know they are credible or not, because there are no specific conditions for making an advert, if you want to pay, then you can advertise, but after a lot of news circulated about the investment in ico, of course Twitter wants to improve security for their users and that's very normal if they ban it

Unfortunately, I have already encountered this. And I have even posted a post about it on the forum. I participate in bounty campaigns and yesterday I was blocked on Twitter. On the same day, 2 of my friends also blocked accounts. Perhaps this is just a coincidence, and perhaps Twitter has launched a campaign to combat cryptocurrency in its network. In any case, I do not think that this will have a positive effect on the dissemination of information about cryptocurrency.

Twitter just afraid if it let scam ICO advertise their project on twitter then twitter users blame twitter because of the low standard of advertising selection.it is normal because there is law in the real world. I think what we should do is try to find scam ICO then warned other people about that so I think this can reduce the number of scam ICO.

I think this is because many ICOs are scam, so many reports occur on this social media platform. but there are still ico who pass the ad filter, they manipulate the keywords so that they don't appear to be cryptocurrency ads.

I have recently come to know that the Twitter is banning accounts which are promoting crypto projects and ICO's. They might be tracking the hashtags and tweets but it feels ridiculous. They must understand that crypto got good potential and they need to segregate between users and spammers.
