Title: New in crypto mining, need some help to start Post by: Lord athetos on March 19, 2018, 01:00:15 PM So i'm a newbie in crypto mining, and i have no idea of whats the best coin/miner/pool. These are my system specs:
CPU: intel xeon E5-2630 v2 Motherboard: asus sabertooth x79 GPU: R9 fury nitro oc Ram: corsair vengeance 4x4 GB 1600 Mhz So first, a few other things: I live in a rural area with solar power so power consumption is not an issue With the recent GPU shortage buying new GPUs is totally discarded, so my goal is to mine with other equipment, such as second hand GPUs, CPUs and xeon phis pcie coprocesors I currently have spare hardware that maybe can be useful, such as 3 1200W server PSUs, some xeons (two E5-2640 v1 and two E5-2609 v1). I will also get a server (wich i dont know the specs, the only thing that i know for now is that will have to get it with a van because its massive) and i can get my hands on a bunch of xeon phis 5110. Knowing all of those details, what is the best coin i should mine on every piece of hardware? (The fury, the xeons and the phis) and whats the best miner and pool for that? Any help would be apreted :) Title: Re: New in crypto mining, need some help to start Post by: qwertyking on March 19, 2018, 01:27:42 PM i've tried to mine using my workstation, and the result turned out to be frustrating---- give up CPU mining and use GPU may be a better choice
if you still want to focus on CPU, what you get now may make you $1.5 per day Title: Re: New in crypto mining, need some help to start Post by: jimely0907 on March 19, 2018, 01:36:13 PM i recommend to mine a electronium because that is the coin i mine..no hustle.
