Sometimes i feel confused with this US decision, on the one hand they has mobilized  the FBI to press google against cryptocurrency on the other they praise cryptocurrency.
Actually what the hell do they want? ...

I thought no one in here trusted Governments,etc. Also praising crypto and blockchain has little to do with BTCubble coin in reality.

Actually we don't want any interference from ant government, but the bitcoin already got huge popularity so it's impossible for the government to ignore, we just need the government approval on crypto currencies, if any government try to banned crypto then it will reduce the transaction volume and prevent the growth, government praising got a big psychology effect, it can make the investors feel more secure to invest in crypto, I believe this is a great news for everyone, finally the government not see bitcoin as a threat, and with blockchain the world enter a new transaction system

Well, it is about a form of good news, hopefully it will done a formal approval, because sometimes government people are only planning and without a formal approval. Many times I heard a news about government planning about adoption of cryptocurrency but until now there is no such approval that proves their planned was implemented. Maybe it is all about planning but there is no total implementation. Hopefully the plan would be implemented soon.

The world will accept crypto eventually. It just take time for each country to regulate ( or try to control ) it. They can't deny or abandon it.
The thing we only can do is just watch the show.

And this news has a tremendous impact on the rising prices of bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies, hopefully this will be sustainable.

While I do like the new news coming in, I don't think the best source of unbiased news is going to be a website called 'DailyHodl' That in and of itself isn't going to be a reliable source of news in any way as they're (of course) going to be biased towards the people that own bitcoin, and are going to continue to hold it. What we really need is a crusade for non-biased journalism. Journalism that can't be bought by people for the sake of them making themselves a few bucks.


We need to bring transparency back into the newsroom.

The Uninited States is a great influencer and they  always acknowledge new ideas and technology and I hope this new will as well inflyence the price increase of bitcoin. The change is already felt early this morning when bitcoin price increases.

I believe none of you read it.


But first I would want to know what their definition of blockchain is. Is it a censorship resistant, decentralized ledger, secured by proof of work?


We cannot trust a group of congressmen if they take Ethereum seriously.

Wrong again. What they need is a database. But this partly goes back to "what is their definition of blockchain"?


How many years should we give them before they learn the truth?

It's honestly all points that we all knew before we started to invest in bitcoin.

It's all common sense and common knowledge within the bitcoin world, and they're just putting it on paper. That's literally all they're doing. Again, I think that it is exaggerated every time the government or the regulators do something, it's either really good or really bad.

People need to start realising that most of the times when they come out with these reports or regulations, it doesn't change anything. And this new piece of news seems to be a catalyst in the current price recovery, which is good. But people should stop overreacting to these news articles. Do your own research.

What points are those, and please kindly read my post above yours. Those "points" made are wrong and it is the kind of assumptions that newbies in Bitcoin mistakenly first make when they arrive in Bitcoin land.

Now we just need get up over 8650 and stay there that would be exstremely bullish ;)

that's a kinda' shocking news as those guys are usually against BItcoin. It's also a good news for Bitcoin and crypto community :)

Most of the article is based on blockchain which is good but there is few positive for bitcoins, which is good to see. They're finally understanding the potential of bitcoins and I hope this encourages many people to get into bitcoins. I feel this news should easily take us past 11k which we been stuck on, I'm sure this is the news we been waiting for.

I hear this news all the time, but there's never any action behind it. We still see the emergence of periodic problems with the conversion of cryptocurrencies into Fiat. In all countries, there is no certainty at the legislative level. But it seems to me that this topic is most interested in speculators. We are continuously removed from the creation of conditions to bitcoin became the currency.

This is yet another indication of the bright future the crypto currency and by extension bitcoins has , the American congress in their special report did noting other than praise crypto currency and the blockchain technology that supports it , if this is not a green light as far as crypto currencies are concerned then i don't know what is. People, prices are low now please I'm imploring you to make an investment in bitcoins especially as we are about to see amazing and mind boggling occurrences in the very near future.This has only serves to make me more resolute about the future of crypto currencies , and im sure in a few months ill be smiling with all the cash ill be making

Such a good news that US praising cryptocurrency. This is  very good indication for all  crypto currency users to to join more bitcoin projects and platforms. By this ,maybe no more banning  for crypto from social media and Google. The rising of crypto will continue  blowing. This overwhelming news can attract investors and join the blockchain technology. Afterall, the super power country , USA, is the biggest support of this greatest invention of century.

I don't see why people get so excited about this nonsense? It's just standard gibberish not adding anything of value. It once again shows how easy it is to make people believe something.

Governments will use the blockchain to rebuild the entire financial system in a way that it allows them to control each and every aspect with iron fist. All financial institutions from that point will technically be redundant.

Where governments set up the rules for financial institutions externally right now, they can force it through instantly at any time with the control they will have at that point. Say goodbye to freedom.

It's no longer the bank rejecting you from their services, but the government.

I am not sure you read the report being referenced to here because if you had, you would see that its not only about government that is being discussed there. One sure thing that we cannot do without is government involvement which will come no matter how is crave for it or we detest it nothing can be done about it. However, for bitcoin to get to that point it must survive first in other to get the attention which is why this news is worth to be rejoiced over in my own two ways:

1. It shows the practical use of the blockchain beyond the theory even with real life examples of how its being experiment upon by reputable companies and there was an unequivocal statement that blockchain is secure and efficient.

2. For the fact that this news is coming from the US with the influence that the country has, is enough to be joyous about regardless of whether its going to be short lived and if promoted well, it might result in a surge. Friend let's focus on the positive.

        Yes this is not only a good news but an extraordinary news for cryptocurrency like bitcoin and any alternative coin,when they are praising crypto and blockchain technology, it is just like they are tossing up cryptocurrency, and because of their influence to the most of the country, I am very sure,many of them will follow.

But we should highlight the fact that some of those points made in the article are not true. Blockchain is not efficient and it will not transform "many" industries simply because most of those industries have no use for a decentralized blockchain.

We are aiming to it because many people have invested millions and millions of dollars into crypto. So government should take measurements and find the potential about the cryptocurrency. Already we have seen the technology behind the Bitcoin and globally the technology is improving.

Wow this is a very good news. Seems like some other speculations are starting to happen. I have read there is someone that said that we are still in the early years the same time with internet so its 90's of the internet era. And this article is saying it! This made my morning to wake up lively after reading the article.

This is one of the good news lately. It is from such news coming from authoritative state bodies that the public's opinion on the crypto currency is formed. If there are more such news, then people will not argue that the crypto currency is fraud. Right now we do not have enough of such news, and so many more can not be determined how they should treat the crypto currency.
