I'm quite interested but I think I'll have to forget about it and get some seeds or a plant locally here in Australia, the quarantine restrictions are just too severe and "seeds and nuts" are definitely on the 'restricted' list: http://www.daff.gov.au/biosecurity/import/food It also looks like an 'Import Permit' is required: http://apps.daff.gov.au/icon32/asp/ex_casecontent.asp?intNodeId=9024338&intCommodityId=23727&Types=none&WhichQuery=Go+to+full+text&intSearch=1&LogSessionID=0 And then there's the import fees and charges: http://www.daff.gov.au/biosecurity/import/general-info/fees-charges-import/schedule-permit-applications So it turns what would normally be a cheap and straightforward purchase into a bureaucratic and costly excercise. Yeah it is unfortunate as I'd like to grow the chilli, it would be a good plant to have around...
