AXIE INFINITY: REDEFINITION OF BLOCKCHAIN GAMES

Mid-Feb 2018: Presale event, where you can adopt "Origin" Axies, was opened.
Mid-March 2018 – Version 1.0: The initial version, which consists of breeding features and the marketplace, will be released. New body parts and classes will be released frequently since this release onward.
Early April 2018 – Version 1.1: The second version, which consists of raising features and at least one minigame, will be released.
Mid-April 2018 – Version 2.0: The combat system will be released. Balancing changes will be released regularly to tweak Axies' move effects and combat interactions.
Version 2.1: Terrariums will be on sale.
Version 3.0: Initial mobile versions will be released with some social interactions.
Version 4.0: Decoration items will be on sale, introducing Terrarium customization features.
Version 5.0: Quests and a new combat mode will be released.


The pioneer to bring the idea of blockchain games to reality is CryptoKitties. However, it is Axie Infinity that defines how a good blockchain game should be. To infinity and beyond, that's how to describe Axie Infinity since it promises an endless fun. With breeding, raising and battling, Axie Infinity is more than just a Tamagotchi-styled game, not to mention a fresh face yet potential of blockchain games industry.

So what is Axie Infinity exactly?
Inspired by the idea of Pokémon and Tamagotchi games, Axie Infinity is a decentralized game based on Ethereum platform introducing players to the adorable fantasy creatures known as Axie. Those creatures also have the powerful potential underneath their appearance. The game allows players to breed, raise, battle and even trade them in marketplace.

Axies live in their own artificial environment called Terrarium. Through daily activities and battles with other Axies, the Axies could gain experience to evolve to a superior level. To succeed in raising them, players need to understand their Axies as if Axies are your real best friends.

Axies are deadly cute, that is an undeniable truth. But Axies are not only just cute, their appearance are almost unique. It is difficult to find two look-alike Axies since their body parts have various forms and shapes. There are more than 500 Axie's body parts (and much more to be revealed); thus, the combination of them is limitless. Players will never be bored of exploring new combinations.

Axies' body and parts are classified into classes including Beast, Plant, Bug, Bird, Reptile and Aquatic, and more in future release. Moreover, the parts also come with four levels of rarity, which are Common, Rare, Ultra Rare, Legendary.

A fresh yet potential blockbuster of blockchain games
Blockchain technology is supposed to make gaming experience more fun by overcoming technology barriers. However, due to its nature, most blockchain games encounter new barriers. Interactions in game can be costly for execution, leading to the poor gameplay.

Understanding the weakness of other existing blockchain games, Axie Infinity can be called an innovative twist since it focuses a lot on its interesting gameplay.

It is the battle system that makes Axie Infinity stand out. Axies will take turn to fight in a 3v3 battle. Is this an official ANN thread or the community created? AXIE receives a lot of attention now due Binance Launchpad launch and massive promotion campaign from Binance. I checked the Russian Introduction a little, seems like a quite interesting project, although I don't play blockchain games usually.

I am very glad for the team, how they play their card and was able o make it to Binance is a great feat for a project under the radar for most of us. I just hope they deliver on this goodwill they have now, the market is getting hot and only those that have product to deliver will eat the good of this bull run

A lot of gaming platforms are really on the rise these days.
But wonder if eth-based games can really make a dent in this market?

i think its was officials announcement threads by the team, but they are only writing this threads without any infographic because they didnt purchase cooper members, yes this project hass a lot attentions and such a potential project to be success, im follow them on telegram until today.

I have been following this project since August and yes the developers are great doing developments of this game, friends of my friends are playing those cute little fellas and perhaps earning a decent amount of tokens by breeding.

axie is an old project so maybe this is just a thread of notification about their future plans especially after working with Binance maybe they want the best to be promoted everywhere and hopefully many people who are interested in this game too

I love this project every development is packed with excitement. I have no doubt in the near future it will be the biggest blockchain game in the space. The project is already making noise these days most especially that their tokens are already listed in one of the biggest exchange and continuously attracting players around the world. There’s more coming, keeping my eyes on it always.

wonder why they are not giving a lil bit of attention here? the community here is big and without their direct support by having presence here, how can users get their answers if they have queries and all?
they have actually great partnerships so maybe they are just confident that they can get players without active support in the forum. looking at their website, seems this is really worth watching for.

just to add on that matter, asked the devs on discord and they said 2 things:
they don't have enough people to take care of all the social media
they prefered not to focus on bitcointal because they don't think it'll attract many plair

fair enough.

so they said that the idea is that community helps to spread the word too (which is exactly what many users like me and @pangu are doing here.

another blockchain game, hope you can provide more features in your platform. As we know now a days there are some blockchain based games, but it's really bored and most of them have same game play/rule. So if you want to gain more user from games you need to add more key features

You will never be bored with Axie Infinity its not just a game, its a job for many users. Once you played the game you’ll get hooked with its ecosystem and gameplay. Playing the game for 2 months now, never played a blockchain game like this so rewarding and I love the game system, overhyped was my first impression but I was totally wrong.

definiely, the game is super interesting and definitely habit-forming (be alert! haahaha)
I like how they're building a quite complex system with many variables
can't wait to see how branch evolutions will shape the future of these creatures.

Today, a lot of projects look quite acceptable, But even after studying all the available information, there is no real confidence in further prospects in the case of investments. But it is in this case that the opinion about the AXIE project is really strengthened thanks to the presence of cooperation with Samsung, since this is one of the real market leaders. Moreover, one should take into account the fact that the $ AXS coin is already coded on the UpBit cryptocurrency exchange, which is the number one in Korea.

I asked the team on discord (they're more active there and on telegram) and they said there's not enough people to take care of all networks, and also that bitcointalk forum didn''t seems like the best place for them to gather new users, that's why they don't update it here.

but the project is serious and keeps delivering updates.

AXS is also listed on binance (biggest on the world) and will be a way to earn a rev share on the game fees in the future, this one will go to places.

I beg your pardon, apparently I missed this moment when studying questions about this project. Binance is indeed a huge asset for every promising project and therefore AXIE really has great prospects in the future, given today's market developments.

It would not be a bad thing for the team to take care of listing on other cryptocurrency exchanges, as Binance does not bring enough value to SLPs as the trading volume is so small. At least listing on different exchanges attracts the attention of a large number of users to the project.

The number of holders are increasing, yet, this thread is not gaining a lot of interest here. So who are these holders? Are they actual players or are those addresses created by the team themselves? I have been seeing this Axie project but haven't tried their blockchain games yet.

Axie is different and its worth a time unlike other games in the blockchain space I don’t know but playing Axie more than just a collectible.
