Title: Suggestion for eliminating the possibility of having the exact similar posts
Post by: SFR10 on March 21, 2018, 11:09:13 AM
Recently, "Dartanium (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=1875257)" caught my attention.

Noticed he/she posted the exact following post, 28 times across different sections & threads:
PLEASE SIGN OUR PETITION STOP THE BAN ON CRYPTO ADVERTISING ON SOCIAL MEDIA PLATFORMS.
 https://www.change.org/p/google-inc-google-and-social-media-platforms-to-revert-their-ban-on-crypto-currency-advertisements?recruiter=841422338&utm_source=share_petition&utm_medium=copylink&utm_campaign=share_petition&utm_term=share_petition
Archived: Page 1 (https://archive.fo/obwk6#selection-805.1-1801.241), Page 2 (https://archive.fo/4mW7V#selection-295.1-1365.241)

Suggestion: Not allowing exact similar posts (based on "drafts (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=drafts)" or "users posts"), being made from the same user (by forum itself).

Some might say:
They can easily change few words and be able to post again (perhaps having certain limits, can solve that).

Yeah, basically. How many people do you think are even doing that? Plus it's really easy to get caught if you are posting the same shit 100 times. Also the guy is at least trying to ''help'' with the advertising ban, although a reversal it's certainly not going to happen.

Yeah, hitting the nuke button is just as easy. We've been fighting spambots with the nuke button (and with the help of Mitchell's bot) quite effectively so this one would be treated the same way. Just report and it'll be handled quickly.

How many people do you think even care about the advertising spam ? If they would, the could use the "Report to Moderator" button quite often.

Your point being ? Which part of my post shows I'm on the other side being defensive ? I just gave a solution that have always worked for me.

I guess this person is going through a banning period. I checked the last post he made was on February 28, 2018, 03:12:05 AM (https://prnt.sc/iu9j4s)

Hope he/she learn a lesson.

I personally reported lots of his posts.

Scam projects would be fucked out this forum. I see many investing on the scam ICO, cloud mining and mining reselling sites. After they loose his/her fund only they are just opening the thread on service discussion section or scam accusation section buddy.

I am not sure how do all can reply the same question has been asked in the different scenario. In those kind on time, we are forced to share our idea to that person who are in need for that.
Bitcoin discussion multiple time opened thread and dead thread woke up are closed itself. There is would not be any spam is running out there.

Yes, I know but why not try to eliminate its possibility?

And yet there's another one roaming around (9064177v (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=1027216)), for the past 3 days and so...
