So I used to hold as much as 40 coins...I've since shrunk it down to 25 coins/tokens but I want to reduce it further if possible.  I have about $3,000 on these 8 coins and I'd rather re-invest some of it to better coins if possible.

The candidates to be PURGED are:
APPC
PRL
NCASH
DBC
TEL
UTK
QLC
KEY

While I consider these the least ideal among my coins, I think all have growth potential.  Thus the need for "encouragement"/help which to purge. :D

You can shift PRL, QRC and KEY to new and most advanced projects like POA, BLZ, INS, ICX etc. You can go all in any of these or you could choose 2 out of these.
Do hold APPC for long term. Good news upcoming. Their test platform is upcoming in q2 and considering technical analysis price has been retraced to more than 70% from its all time high.

It may be better to sell all of these and make a very strong portfolio with such coins like bitcoin, qtum, tierion, tezos, sumokoin. I don't know your preferences but I would not take high risk.

Re: ICX, it is already the biggest in my portfolio but will definitely add more when I can :)

I also just bought some QTUM and is currently 6th in my portfolio.

My advice, but please do not take it to heart. Only clean out dead projects, or projects you no longer believe in. Last year, I sold off a few alts for the simple reasons that they were either worth less than $10. I did not want to keep their wallets. I wanted to focus on a few. Recently, two of those coins became x100 or more, and I was very, very upset. I sold hundreds of Nano for a few dollars, when they would be worth thousands today even at current price (and almost 20k at the peak.

For sure you should change PRL on something else. I recommend you focus on more advanced coins like POA ( the best choose for now ).

DBC, just learned they are moving over to NEO platform shortly.
PRL, is airdropping SHL (1:1 ratio) next month and mainnet release is also coming next month.  Might as well wait for those and see .

PRL and KEY are good coins but I would not suggest other ones and why don't you hold some bitcoin as well? If bitcoin will be a world currency, then the price can be really over $100.000

When the market stabilitation is back, you need Elix in your portfolio. Now the Devs works on the beta Version and when this is live then we raise. Also when the App will go live for public.

Keep PRL til at least the airdrop. It should go up in price short term. It's still hasn't been adopted, so you may still want to rebuy and hold til the end of the year.

OCN is where I went to. It's being integrated into oBike this year as a payment for ovet 40m people to use. Then grab integration and more partnerships after. Expect a steady, but great return on investment.

The website is also being redone, the wallet is coming out, and more. Seems like the perfect project with a low market cap and the rise in TRX will boost the price this year.

I don't see any great prospects for your list. It seems to me that these projects are weak and will not be able to bring profit. But sometimes good things happen as well as shit ones, so you have to make your own decision.

You guys are completely wrong about oyster pearl in my opinion.
Depends for how much you got in but i think you should keep PRL.
Airdrop april 6th and mainnet live in april.
Oyster will be big this year but if you want to surge you can sell and re-enter it later.

I think you purge key  and prl and replace them with ins and smt. Personally i believe the ins and smt have growth potential and their prices would rise this year.

As stated above, I'd stick arround on PRL at least another 2 weeks for the SHL airdrop (or cash out if prices go up prior to the AD).  i'ts a project I'm in for the long run, if they can deliver what they think they can I reckon it can do a x10 this year still.

Not a big fan of the rest of those projects, so I guess I'd sell 'em all to strengthen other positions.

I suggest you to look at selfkey which is similar to key that you are holding and stock up on VeChain it is going to be huge in a year or two .Check it out

Selfkey is KEY, are you talking about The Key (TKY)?  I'd rather stick with KEY though admittedly, TKY (being Chinese-but a copy) may grow faster.  

Not familiar with most coins on your portfolio but I checked out nCash the team seems to look like one that could attract new investments into the project and their product could easily find strong grounds to sell and value would boom. Keep this ncash my gut feeling tells me its worth the hodl.

You have a wonderful selection and it unfortunate they are already listed on coin capital market. Since you're planning to reduce your portfolio I will advice you to choose KEY, TEL, DBC and APPC cause they have nice features. However, you could try Yocoin either.

I think it's better to wait for the market to recover and only then to clean my portfolio.But of course you decide)

Among all your list i am more or less sure only in Tel. In general, a very strange selection of coins, on the basis of what you make a decision?

Definitely get rid of telcoin and appcoin.

Telcoin doesn't really have any major exchanges apart from Kucoin and the volume is low for a coin its market cap size. When it comes to liquidating it'll be hard and prices may go down due to a lack of exchange to trade on.

APPC doesn't seem to be getting any attention and is rank >200 which is hard to get attention in the first place.

Oyster could go as well, since it's got such a huge pump. If you bought early you could definitely take some profits now as well on PRL.

These are my "gamble" investments.  Every now and then, I throw a couple hundred bucks on new coins/tokens that may or may not make it big.  These are the least promising out of my (now) 38 coins that will be swapped with newer coins.  As weird as that may sound, the strategy works for me.

They represent a tiny portion of my portfolio. 

I am way ahead on PRL and I am waiting for the SHL airdrop (in 3 days).  I'll decide then if I'll keep it or not.

I am negative on both TEL and APPC but I decided to wait and see.  I still believe both will at least rebound to much better heights that they are now.

I think you should sell all your portofolio and buy auctus, essentia, ishook for your long term investment. Auctus ico will start again in 10 april. Essentia ico will start TBD in this month and ishook is already live now. Those three coin i believe will give us good return. It is only advice and all the decision is still on you.

From your list I would leave Tel and APPC. They have good prospects, if you hold on for a long time. The remaining coins from the list, I would replace the more promising coins INS and ICX

UTK I think this iCO is good why you remove it from your list. is there any bad news about UTK?

The result? What coins did the author leave and which ones he sold? I'd leave everything and buy more.

Thanks.  I ended up purging them all...and strengthened my other holdings.  Nothing was withdrawn, like you said, I actually pumped in more cash.  I am down to 14 coins now and 2 are lined up to be sold too.

I would add another coins to this list. Now many promising coins are much cheaper than before and you can invest in them. I would watch coins from the top 20-30

The main thing is that you yourself believed in these coins, and all other thoughts are worth nothing. Each has its own portfolio and its leaders and one such strategy comes in, and the other in no way.

Actually the tokens above is not very well known so to have those tokens with long term it will be  it high risk.
It does not matter about the amount you hold, diversify only in low marketcap coin sometime not help. That is what i feel. I prefer to have some popular and some from not really popular coins.

PRL already pumped so unless you invested at the ICO it isn't worth investing in, that can be dropped. Swap KEY for THEKEY which is a NEO based ID platform, this will be big in China so you want to be holding it before the pump

You need to sell APPC, PRL, NCASH and DBC tokens and buy more promising coins for them. I would recommend you: Icon ICX and Cardano ADA. You have a lot of small coins in your portfolio, but there are not any large ones.

I believe that had you tripled or even quadrupled that list of altcoins, you would have realized that all of them would seem to be ideal coins to be thrashed. Because guess what, all these coins and more have just been declining so badly in price. What does that tell you? All alts do not have the strength to stand on their own. Even Ethereum, the biggest of them all and the most likely to be independent from Bitcoin, still has yet to reach this stage.

Do not spring clean, just hold what you have. Unless,,, it is a lot of money, then go back into Bitcoin.
