Title: (Bounty .5 BTC) Bitcoin Info Card
Post by: El Cabron on October 25, 2013, 04:49:27 AM
Hi, I just want an "Info Card" that tells new people about Bitcoin. I want it to be business card size and have all sorts of info about BTC. Like a basic idea of what it is, link to bitcoin.org and whatever else.

I just need the design made public so we can all use it to print our own.

anyone who wants to add idea on what should be added please give us.

ill pay the .5 btc to the best design or break it up anyway i want.

this will run for at least 10 days from now.

thanks

I made a business card sized laminated card that had a private key sandwiched between the front graphic and back graphic of the card. the front said what BTC was and the back showed how to redeem the private key in the card... I can get that if you want.

I think tri fold card (eg: https://i.imgur.com/cXz7Poq.jpg)will be good for this.

On Front: Bitcoins pic and tagline etc.
Inner part: how bitcoin works and features info.

On back side, you can give website links.

I will try to make one in my free time.

Simple, clean and not too much ink :)

It's nice, but you listed the advantages of bitcoin without actually explaining WHAT bitcoin is.

I thought about explaining it, but the text would be too small...

Why reinvent the wheel when others have already thought up texts and even published them under an open-source license? Simply using the texts from www.bitcoin.org here is an example design with front and back:

The font on the back is too small and it needs spacing and location corrections but that would be my draft. Don't have time now, will post the corrections later if you wish.

EDIT: made several corrections, should be fine now.

I made this, the current design is in Spanish, I can modify it.

The idea is to place a problem and how Bitcoin can resolve it. If you unfold it in the center it has info about the P2P network and confirmations. In the back it could have any info you want, right now it has advantages for users and merchants, wallets and services related to bitcoin.

You would need to have a "let's get started" which would have a link to Bitcoin.org. Then I think having a site which lists many companies which accept Bitcoin, which are updated regular. Also, have a link to the Bitcoin catalog which would include more information if they would like to learn more about Bitcoin.

I find the bitcoins.com website to be a little friendlier for newbies and it includes a directory of companies that accept bitcoin as well.
