Title: Is £795 a good price for the S9?
Post by: alex7112 on March 22, 2018, 08:42:01 PM
One of my cryptofriends ordered one for these and paid just over £900 a few months ago. It's bringing in a decent return so I'm thinking about getting one.

I've checked the site he ordered his from today and they have the same model reduced to £795.

Should I buy now, or wait a bit longer?? Is the S9 even the best option, maybe I should be looking elsewhere?

Cheers!  8)

Never heard of this site and seems like nobody online can vouch for it.
A brand new account with 2 posts that (who’d believe it?!) only discuss the site in question.
That’s what you call shameless advertising OP. Alarm bells ringing...

Hi :)

It doesn't have to be from that site. I'll happily go wherever if the price is right.

Where is a good place to get the S9? I'd rather buy from a UK supplier with stock if possible.

I tried the Bitmain site but I just get a cloud flare error message.

Well it matters slightly seeing as nobody is selling an S9 for that price.
At that rate you could make profit on flipping the machines alone which would make it a no brained.

It's not recommended that you buy antminer s9 in any 3rd party distributor it's not safe and mostly they are scam and fake unless if you own the website and trying to promote it here in a forum.

If you really wanted to be safe when buying antminer, go buy directly from bitmain the price right now is cheaper than the past months ago.

Check the bitmain shop here http://shop.bitmain.com/product/main?lang=en

And I think you need to decide with your own if you order now you can get the miner in a month depends on what month they will release the current batch, but if you wait again it takes a long time again to restock.

I'll have to have a think about getting now or next month.

Thanks for your advice, I'm new to all this so it's appreciated.

Echo'ing AT101ET, the market price of brand new S9 is around USD1800-1900; used, but within warranty around USD1600-1800.

This is prevailing market price in Shenzhen (the largest trading ground of Bitmain machines).

Anything lower than, I would be very skeptical about by sheer laws of economics (they could sell to someone at a higher price, and why should they sell to you at a $1000 discount?).

Unless they have some way of making money from you AFTER sales, I would be very skeptical about any working S9's at that price.
