Title: Starting a new (novelty) alt-coin
Post by: VBT on October 25, 2013, 05:54:27 PM
Hello all.

I have been looking into starting a new alt-coin. It would be just a novelty, not really trying to create the next hot alt-coin.

Why?

1. mostly to say that I did it.

2. to have fun while learning (a lot) more about the inner workings of the crypto-currency protocols.

3. Well, you never know, it could be unique enough that it just might take off and become the next big alt-coin.

So, my first (of many, I am sure) question would be, rather than just reading the whole Bitcointalk forum, is there a section/group/thread(s) that I should concentrate on?

Thanks.

VBT

Aren't all alt coins novelties?

Nope, mostly just renamed copies of currrent alt coins with few different parameters. Not much work needed

There are some guys who will offer to help you...stay away from @Hazard and @r3vt, there are to much coins made by themselves.
