Title: Trump Tax
Post by: dirtmonster on March 23, 2018, 12:11:05 AM
Ok,

So the Trump Tax goes into effect on Friday, tit for tat import taxes on China.

How does this affect us US customers buying from Bitmain, Baikal, Pangolin Etc. etc. ?

This is where we buy and sell computer hardware isn't it?

I'd think this is directly related to those interested in doing so.

it will hurt the US not china like some one else said "it will be business as usually for china" why does china need to sell the US again .....    asshole in charge just doesn't understand and trump is one of the worst business men, I've seen, an i'm not a business type.

If you're not a buisness type, then how can you reasonably judge someone to be one of the worst business men, I've seen. Traditionally, someone so bad at business wouldn't go from millionaire to billionaire and be able to sustain it, regardless of their starting point and associates.

This may be a mistake, but he has said that the US is getting a bad deal on almost all their trades while the other countries are getting good deals. If you're getting a bad deal and they're getting a good one, then to tip over the apple cart should theoretically hurt your trading partners more than you, and allow for a potentially more reasonable deal to form in the future (if you're the richest country in the world other countries are just going to want to or have to trade with you). Global trade and politics is complex and i don't think anyone can claim to know where the chips will fall, and if they do claim to, they're either lying and just guessing.
