Merits are to be given for helpful or constructive posts and these type of posts do help in eliminating the spammers from this forum. We should always encourage such behavior at it will set a good example for other new members to follow. If all the members here make use of options like "Report to moderator" or post suspicious activity in the forum, it will make the work of moderators easy here. If the forum gets free of these spammers, it will gro faster benefiting all genuine members. This will help other members to report such members easily. For instance, there are certain signs of a bought account like difference in posting style of increased activity all of sudden. Similarly, there must be common patterns among merit abusers.

I don't think you're being honest about what you think, though I obviously can't prove that. Merit is going to be nothing but a hindrance to you, unless you buy it or trade it with friends. Post good quality posted, explore other sections in forum, make post useful and helpful to other people's and wait merit will come. Do not do spam posting, negative etc. Just share something in your mind also can get merit. Try to do good posting not by merit, merit automatically come to you. I don't think if full members still find it difficult to find merit. Right now, I've changed my mindset not to pursue merit but keep trying to improve the quality of posts. if our post is good will someday be there will give us merit. ...and on and on. These are all crap posts as well, poorly-written and with very little thought put into them. These posts have no reason to exist, and of course they're not going to earn merits. It did not happen that way, I can assure you.I used to think Vod was a bully here for all the negs he left those noobs who ask for loans without collateral. That's exactly how I perceived what he was doing--and that was in 2015 when I had not yet been around long enough to see what's going on in the forum, and how many scammers there were (and still are). Then it started to make a lot of sense, and I developed a good amount of respect for the man. This "privilege" of which you speak is ephemeral, fleeting. I've been here long enough to see true disasters like the MasterP incident, Quickseller's very public disgrace and shaming, and some other 1000 meter falls from grace that I'm having trouble remembering as I type this. All it would take is for Blazed or Hilariousandco to change their mind and exclude me from their trust list, and *poof* I'm no longer trusted. That basically just happened a month ago or so. This is really just a discussion forum with a bunch of people who don't really know each other, but are trying to construct a trust structure that works. It's so far from perfect that it's almost laughable, but there you have it. I'm not privileged, though I am thankful for the trust some folks here have put in me. To that end, I don't engage in those things I've been condemning for a couple of years: account selling, scamming, shitposting, and now merit trading. Those things are toxic to the health of the forum, and thus I lack trust in members who engage in them, and to the extent that I can, I'll continue to tag said members. If you think I'm doing this out of a lust for power or for personal gain, I'll just ask you to stick around and perhaps reevaluate your position when you've been here a while and you see what's what. You may or may not contributed to forum. But you became legendary because you are here at least for 3 years. If you shitposted for 3 years and now legendary. Now to become legendary you need to kiss asses or have the knowledge of satoshi. If they cleared all the ranks and start over with system i can understand it. But now there is lots of hero and legendary which their all success is shitposting for three years. And they are happy with merit system just because they were here before. Actually they deserve their ranks for being a here for a long time and contributing many good things to this forum and community, if you dont like the system then you can just leave I just wonder what you are crying for...? As an additional tip for you "The Pharmacist" is one of the trusted DT member here assigned by the admin he/she 's just not a legendary that you are talking about, and also he contributed a lot of good things in the community thats why he/she has a position here and not just shitposting for 3 years that you are talking about. :) This is the definition of sucking someone off for merit.. Ridiculous how this guy acts as a leach for merit. It's kinda hypocritical. I personally am glad that you did this thread and reported the abusers, but im not ok with how you move and the motive behind it, which has worked quite well for you as I can see. And before you say anything.. I personally dont care about the merit system myself or ranking up, a forum rank doesn't serve me at all. I rarely post here anyways and had all the time in the world to shitpost my way up to a higher rank if I wanted to, im more of an observer. Also, If you really wonna help, educate people on how to find merit abusers and what is your method on it, the whole community should be policing/patroling the forum, or do you wonna have the monopoly of it to attain more merit for yourself.
