to.those individual who are doing long term investment with btc, are you having fun with the your profit as a result? I read a thread here in btc and it was all about his invesment with btc way back 2010 as he bought 800 btc with 0.7$ per btc. he was being advised to let his investment to let it hold for 5 years Aand fortunately he did it hold for five years. He just check and found out that btc price plays at 8k - 10k usd. now he is having a hard time realizing about his profit and he is so happy about it with btc and that is his story about long term investment. he then added a link that specify about his btc holdings. the question is how about you? who among here have tried long term investment? and how does it feel with yout profit? are you plannin on long term investment?

I'm so sad that I lost my investment because of the size of my losses and I can not get it back, I'm long term because I think this will be a good deal because many say that I have the chance to win when I'm long term, but i'm losing because at the same time bitcoin was knocking down the altcoins that included the kucoin that actually dropped my previous php 1000 is now 150 php, but believe I still have to climb up and recover my loser.

Im so sad in my part because all my efforts of holding btc was gone. My storage was accidentally misplaced by my wife during deep cleaning last year. And until now it was totally missing, it felt so bad when you find the value of btc which is smoothly soaring up but you ain't nothing.. However past is past. Im now facing the present and start, back to the beginning.

It takes a special kind of investor to go long for around 5 years and not check their investment and consider selling etc. I would be fairly confident in going long over a 5 year span but I would never restrict myself to not being able to re-evaluate my investment or limit myself from trying to profit from shorter term volatility. If you find that you're susceptible to make mistakes and losses in times of high volatility then going long could be for you. You could lock away your private keys somewhere digitally or with a bank or so and set a restriction that you can't have them for 5 years.

I am very happy to be working in the crypto market and working on signature campaigns. I was still young enough to be able to earn high-paying jobs. So I'm always happy to be working in the crypto market. My investment plans are already set and I am working hard to make those investments.

Yes, I'm happy with long-term investments because it offers great return computed to short-term investments.Of course, there is high risk compared to short-term but you have to always aware of that success is always with the risk takers.

I think that long term investment on bitcoin really is a good idea on achieving your goal to earn great profit. However, as an investor of bitcoin I would have to ensure that I will be on top in terms of updating the current market so that  will be able to know the current price status of btc. I agree with the above comments that if were only here to invest, will just have to do long term investment where this would be the key to become successful with bitcoin investment.

Those who bought bitcoin in 2010 is the lucky person in this world. I knew bitcoin for the first time in 2013 I regret deeply when I didn't buy much at that time now I'm just holding few amounts, I've been reading so many articles about early adopter who being rich after holding their bitcoin for a long time and now it paid of.

Long-term investment is very fun, because after we buy bitcoin we are not too dizzy to trade, we just let alone for a few years, I also do that when buying bitcoin at 7 million price as much as 5 bitcoin in 2016, and I sell it at the price 280jt in 2017, I really enjoy the results of my investment.

For some reason while reading your comment I thought about wouldn't it be ironic for someone who bought a bunch of bitcoin 5 years ago sub $100, then got sent to prison for 5 years. They would definitely be able to hold and will have a quite different life now, assuming they still had access to the private keys of course.

Most bagholders here, specially those early adopters have been crypto millionaires already and I doubt most of them go online. I must say that its really hard to hold bitcoin for that long, however, there are instance that some really has the mental toughness to not touch this stash and maximize their profit specially in December.

Not totally happy, but a choice for me is long term for a greater profit. But for you depends on your strategies on what amount you can take profit. I am not the type who hold for about 5 years thats truly too long. Holding for long term then once the price may sky rocket that's the time I can take profit.

I am better planning to invest on long term. Right now, I have main job so its better for me to invest bitcoin with long term period beside that I can make analysis on market.

Yes,  if you are planning to invest your money in btc and want to earn a big amount of money in return.  it is better to hold it for a long term especially when the price of btc right now is decreasing.but if can observed the price of btc will increasing then just grab that opportunity sell your btc right away so that you will receive a big amount of profits.      I am happy for long term investment because it has a big return than short term investment and i am a risk taker that's why i choose to invest for long term. This investment need your patience to wait. I invest coins which i think it will grow in the future and give me profit in return.

I have never invested in long-term. I only do midterm, and it has made me get a pretty big profit. but I think making long-term investments is not wrong, it's just so boring to wait for five years.

For me, I’ve started holding bitcoin at couple of thousand per bitcoin, but when the price range reached up to 19000$ a piece then I started realising that long investment is the most profitable thing to do. Me. I'm still holding and have no plans on selling soon. In fact, I have no idea what condition should I cash in my Bitcoin. So how is my long-term investment going so far? It's fucking great. I was going from having nothing to several thousand dollars in saving and being financially independent, that includes paying my own college tuition fees. dream about the success that will be obtained with the activities undertaken that is long-term investment and including me who want to get big profits with what I do is a long-term investment activities. but not a few people who fail to do what they do in long-term investment activities and failures are gained due to lack of preparation to deal with unfavorable market situations. in short if you became 1 in a million in 2010 with $3.7 you now had $180000 and we are not even at the end of the line yet!

yest maybe holding long term on that time where bitcoin price is still low is a smart move. But right now is I do not know if it is good to invest in bitcoin. Today many people loose there investment in bitcoin when they invested back in December till now. Bitcoin price is continuously going down. I myself loose some investment. Yes i am happy holding my coins. I dont have that much as of the one you shared. I started out just early 2017. But the cvalue of the coin that i am holding has already quadrupled. So i think long term investment really is the wisest way to go about your coins.

It's risky because no one knows what will happen to our investment however i think holding for a long term is much less risky because you only hold it and not doing trades. My long term investment is quite good as well. I am not an early adopter but I did start at 2015 when the price is just above 250$. Even now that the price is bearish since it hits the new ATH, I still have a very large profit. Bitcoin for me is a good investment, and I am happy I endured all those ups and downs in prices and hodl.

Bitcoins are great for long term investment and I had hold for long time and have quite a bit profit now and I think I would continue to hold for more year or so as the prices are lower than what bitcoins has reached at the end of 2017.Now would be good time to buy bitcoins as the price has dropped majorly due to correction so who wants to join the train now would be the perfect time to do so.

Honestly, I had the worst regret of my life because of this. I knew bitcoin when it was just 600$ a few years ago and I was really skeptical on making an investment because I really thought that bitcoin was a scam. I was skeptical because I never thought that it's possible to make an investment online and that it is also possible to earn big amount of money though it.

I believe that most of the people would be happy if they purchased bitcoin at a very low amount( 1-2 years ago),  but on the other hand they may feel a bit upset as they could have sold the bitcoins at about 19K$, so if they hold it now they lost about 60% from the top price of bitcoin.

not too much as daily or 2-3 trading making profit upto 10-15 % but long term hold is reducing day by day because of market trend is downward. I'm holding coins and i'm in loss. But I have faith that market will rise again soon.

I have not tried this kind of strategy since I am itching to trade whenever I got BTC.  The idea of hodling is good as what you have told us but I believe that trading the BTC with other altcoin and getting profit from it is better since we are increasing our amount of BTC while its USD value is increasing.

I am very happy with bitcoin. It helps me have a high income, have a job to do. My life changes when it comes to bitcoin.

I used to believe holding for a long time is good but I had a change of heart when I did not withdraw my Bitcoin when it reached its peak in 2017. Now, the first quarter of 2018 is about to end with having only around $11,000 as its best price. Taking into consideration the time that my money stayed with Bitcoin, I think I missed out plausible business opportunities because I chose to hold notwithstanding the price decline to more than 50% of its price based on the peak it reached last year. Simply put, I could have gone to other business ventures had I opted to realize my profits last year.

Im hoping to get into signature campaigns soon too but im still new Here in the furom so i have a lot to learn how to get there.  I strongly in cryptocurrency how useful and timely it is for our modern society so i hope to invest into this soonest!

I have no plans to make long-term investments. For now, everything I do is a short-term investment and bounty. I do not have enough patience to stay calm waiting for years. It was just too much for me.

Somehow I internally feel that we have missed the train already and those golden days may not come back. I mean can you imagine a journey of few cents to 10K USD, a five figure value from half decimal? Come on thats huge leap that we can ever experience again in our life. I mean currently we are having prices around 8K and bitcoin will find it very hard to go from the 8K value to may be 80K value which would be equivalent to that giant leap which those people experienced earlier. Many people were choosing long term investment for them to earn a maximum profit. Because the price is very high if you compare to your acquisition cost. You've got to keep that faith strong and  don't fret just yet because many have sold back for cash and regretted in the long run after it rose back up again and so i will advice you against selling in the short term.

Yes it feel great, I am involving in btc for around 3 years , the  first time I started the price is still hundred dollars, and I save quite a bit back then and when the price surge up every year, it feel so great, it feel like my waiting is finally making result, and now I still wait for the right moment to sell some, and I also invest in alt coin for long term, hopefully it can multiply like btc

I'm not holding anything now but I know some friends who've been holding bitcoin for a long time and are happy enough when they got it for the price they think is enough. It's an investment anyway, and part of investing is that you would give it time to gain more.

I am also in favor of long term investment. Short term trading I don't like it but it depends sometime. Even I also hold bitcoin when bitcoin price was just around 2500$. I am more than happy that I am in good profit even I sold some part of btc at peak around 17K and bought back around 8k. Now I am not in mood to sell my btc. The problem is, that the most people are unhappy with long because they watch allday their portfolio. When you look everyday and you see your in loss, you will be always unhappy. So even for me who knows that, its sometimes heavy to forget it and get over. So if you are long, you have to be happy, or forget your investments and look in some months or years on it. Otherwhile you will never hold them long, and you will someday panic sell all your coins. And someday in the future you will regret it.

I have few bitcoins which I have placed in my wallet and that I have plan of holding them for as long period of time as I could and that I am very much satisfied and happy while doing so. I'm going to be honest with you, I do not think it's a matter of having a choice if you're going to buy and hold or if you're going to do day trade, why? if you want to get huge profits and minimize your loses and have peace of mind? so the only option you have is if you buy and hold for a long time, something like a year or more of a year.

you have already noticed the price drop that you are having, do you think that with this fall there is even a condition to do day trade and not have huge lossess? I think it's hard not to have any lossess.

 As of now, probably disappointment feelings might be in the heart of all long-term holders, just like me, it is not so easy watching the downfall of bitcoin every now and then and losing my invested bitcoin but that is life in crypto world, we must go on the ride of volatility, ups and down will happen, but long-term makes a bigger one.

After watching a video about a famous economic researchers that viewed millenials will drive cryptocurrencies to its peak I am convinced that being long is a great strategy towards bitcoin.

Before anything else I just want to say that bitcoin needs our patience. For me there's nothing wrong about waiting if in the end I will be the one who will gain. I am very satisfied with the present situation. In the past few months, I've invested a lot of money in bitcoins, which are more than I've been paid in the past few years. Although the price of bitcoin has been falling for the past few days, I sold most of it when it reached $18,000, which doesn't make a big difference to me.

Long term is seriously a blind idea thrown at us by the crowd. I think one would always lose when it comes to long. You have to take advantage of short term movements and appreciations and depreciations. Yes, I am happy with long term investment and at the same time I am also prepared for the possibilities of loss during the period.  As we all know that cryptocurrency is a wild market in behavior and one should have enough loss bearing capacity if he is expecting gains in the long term.

the real and effective profit in bitcoin is in the holding for long term as when years passed then the price increase many folds and if someone will hold for only a shorter time period that no one know that how much will it go and no one know that in that time period the price will go up and will go down. While in the long term everyone know that the price will go rise up no matter how much drop face by bitcoin.

For me to say it long term,yes i invest for the long term,but when i need money,i cash out some bitcoin for my need.As long as i don't need money,i keep holding my bitcoin and wait for when the price rise to the all time high like in the december and sell it,then buy back when the price is drop back.
