Title: Help contacting Butterfly Labs
Post by: jon@bitcoinads.com on October 26, 2013, 06:14:01 AM
Hey

If anyone here knows someone at BFL or any method of getting in contact with them i'm trying to get an update on my order (10193).

It was for a Single SC placed in oct 2012 and I noticed that orders after my purchase have already shipped. One day my order status changed to 'On Hold' and I have come to understand that means they aren't shipping it.

I have sent emails and left voice messages from Sept 18, when I realized my order was missed but haven't been able to get through or a response. The phone line message box was actually full. Last week I posted on their support forum a couple of times but it looks like they block any new posts. I private messaged a person on the forum answering other people with similar issues but so far no response.

I did not charge back the order but I have no clue on what is the issue with my account.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks
Jon

If you send them an email asking where you order is, they will place your order at the back of the que.

No, I'm not kidding.

Well there aren't any good ways, but if you ask for refund etc. you will get your email blacklisted.

I ran into the same problem to be honest.  I tried to contact them and I haven't heard a word...try calling them?

It's been a frustrating few months...so I started cloud mining and it's been fun!

I did ask for a refund on the fifth week of no response but my primary desire is for any response. I didn't know that other people also have the same problem.

My gut instinct is that someone called their credit card company and charged back their purchase and BFL accidentally marked my account by accident....

They are very slow in responding to emails, but they do respond................................eventually.
I should say a week or two waiting time usually, but I imagine sometimes emails get lost, it happened to me too.

Anyway, is not quite a customer support to be happy about.

Do you need to send in a trade-in?

I would file a charge back. I've noticed people reporting that after filing a charge back their units shipping right away. One year delay is a long time in the bitcoin world.

BFL customer support is bad.

Ya, you're not going to have any luck. BFL owes me $30,000. They stopped responding to the BBB regarding my complaint, and I had to get the FTC involved and the AG's of both states (mine and theirs) . Still a work in progress, and no money. They tried shipping a rig anyways, and I sent it right back.

Good luck, don't get your hopes up.

+1000 This is exactly what everyone should do. They have little left to loose. BBB have initially rejected my claim, still trying to find out why and FTC site was down a few days ago however I will pursue this and I hope others will also.

I must be the luckiest person on this forum. I sent an email to BFL, I forgot about it. Then after over 1 month, they came back and refund my money. That is the short version of the story.

The long story is, I ordered 5 GH/s miner from them and also added the 2 GH/s upgrade. I managed to get my refund for the miner after constantly calling PayPal, it lasted over 2 months. They finally gave me the refund for the miner. But refused to help me get my 2 GH/s upgrade money back.

I was P off, then I also email BFL and tell them to refund me. Because the order is void now, since I no longer have an order for the miner. So the 2 GH/s is useless. Then they came back over a month later and refund it.

I was gonna say,

They can't exactly ship you 2G/H attached to nothing.

However, they could have given you 2G/H of there Cloud F*cking Ponzi Pyrimid Scam

Be warned future BFL Customers, virtual delivery is just around the corner..

Lawfully you should be entitled to a refund.

Joshie (Inaba) is in denial about it at the moment.

1. Try paypal refund  >>>>>   https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=295187.msg3164319#msg3164319

2. If paypal had a credit card as the funding source contact them, they can also charge back.

3. File a complaint with FTC >>> see my signature.

what ever you do, do number 3 anyway.

Yeah, stay away from BFL. They don't deserve to have any customers.  >:(

Instead of trolling you should provide service to your customers!

Anyone who orders from you considering your past performance is a fucking idiot.

Not according to many people on this forum.

Maybe you should run your company like a businessman instead of a white collar criminal.

@Littleshop

The order was not a trade in, it was purchased through PayPal. I do have a single SC running that was a trade in. It is a great machine quality wise and performs perfectly.

@Lancelot19

I did file a dispute with PayPal after five weeks of no response after contacting BFL. They closed it right away because it has to be within forty five days of purchase and I'm now thirteen months. I felt guilty about it because I thought for a long time that they were just busy and they have been so helpful in the past. I also called my credit card company and they said there is nothing they can do after eighty days.

Yesterday I did file a complaint with the BBB but don't expect anything. I really just wanted to let people know you can pay for an order and may not get any product.

Jon

Paypal aren't interested in processing the refunds any more.  You get the stock "45 days, tough shit" emails now, even when emailing the Executive email.

At 7 months that might work. At 13 probably not.
