When you guys think that will be  ???

Good question, based on what I'm seeing, alts really follows the path of bitcoin. But with the current situation, is really hard to judge it that way. Because in the past, when bitcoin is going up, alts is bleeding because alt investors just simply shifts their money to bitcoin. So its logical to this that if bitcoin is suffering, alts should be getting at least in a green zone.

Unfortunately though, with bitcoin wild swings, its really hard to say if alts will climb back together with bitcoin in the current situation. There are so much contributory factors so I its really hard to predict.

I would love to see that happen, but its better to be wary and cautious at this time.

I would say either next year, or 2020. That's when the markets usually rebound from a dump.

For alts to start to climb, bitcoin needs to start climbing. Once bitcoin starts to climb, then alts will follow and even outpace the growth of bitcoin. I just don't see this happening this year with the new regulations and bans and all that negative stuff being covered in the media about bitcoin, even though nothing has really changed. This is why I think it'll take around 1-2 years for markets to completely recover and go into bullish mode here.

My guess is that it is going to start happening within this month of March. I can already see right now that many of the altcoins have already started to show some growth. This green might be the start of a bullish market. We have been very patient in waiting for the green season to start showing its signs. For the past more than two months, the market is really bloody suffering. Not only the red season affecting Bitcoin and the major altcoins, it affected every single altcoin in the market. Let's just extend our patience a little more. We are almost there. 

The question to psychics is more likely than to us, we have assumptions and simple facts. Now I see the rise of all coins, but who will give guarantees that tomorrow there will be no correction as it has already been repeatedly. A full recovery to be already sure of tomorrow is to be expected by the middle of summer.

why not take now some altcoin you see cheap and see some time in the week the price will grow up 1% to 5%, currently do not play on long term you can take advantage in the short term

Yes. Its just the way how the market works, Everytime Bitcoin make significant move altcoins will be bleedings. The market always reacts upon Bitcoin even just small move. The only way for altcoins to have a room for the rise is when Bitcoin price stabilize, and pretty stagnant.

I think now a prolonged stagnation is likely. During this time new people will learn about the crypto. This can take from a couple of months to more than a year.

I have a feeling we will see a good growth in altcoins this summer.
Maybe not something crazy, to hit all-time highs, but probably something.

Last altcoin bull markets were after a bitcoin pump indeed (May-June 2017, plus December-January). So yes we will probably need to wait that Bitcoin will recover properly with a new bull market (it can take hours, days or months, it is difficult to predict)

Actually price movement is unpredictable. Whether a coin decreases or increases for me is meaningless. I will take a direct decision to buy a coin and then I sell the coin when I get the profit margin from the buy and sell the coin. Yes I apply fast and short time, because I always think that when we wait too long then we do not necessarily get big profits. Better to get a little profit, but can be stable and instens continuous every time.

Make sure we have a strategy in choosing a coin and make sure we dare to take any decision at any time quickly and accurately.

Yes, I think, so that altcoin can overcome the dependence from bitcoin, need more time and really big and effective adjustment. I believe that Fud will not last until June. Be patient over the frozen market. After the ice melts, the market will be clean in great growth.

I hope bitcoin bear will be over this month, if we close bitcoin around $10k this month we will have strong bullish monthly candles indicating big bull run for next few months, lets see, fingers crossed.

The barket will always be therr and you do not need to wait forthe bull run, as an investor you may want to broaden your investments, since there are a lot of coins out there, you need to do your research, there are coins that arr good for trading, judt like ADA before, since it became that volatile, you may also want to check out POS coins, since it will give you stakes, its like mining, but you are not mining at all, you can also try Master Nodes, a good example is Dash, just make sure that you know how to update and protect your system. Di no just rely on exchanges and news, also check out other ICOs or pre-ICOs, in which case, you can earn more..

at the same time many alts are still outrageously overvalued and have a long way to fall yet before we can be certain the hype is over. we're either taking a breather before possibly going up again or waiting for the real bear action.

I thought I had to wait till the bear market was over. But I started feeling really depressed. So I started margin trading.
If you are doing normal trading, you hope, expect and force the market to go up. But, in margin trading, it is not important.
You can make a profit if BTC is going up or down, you just have to identify the trend. To be honest, it is not easy but once you identify the trend, it is not important if it is uptrend or downtrend.

a very easy way to lose everything without trying very hard. be careful out there. you might end up being one of those people who writes a doomy thread and no one can understand how you lost so much with a quiet market.

sensitive issue. I don't see the reasons why market should grow in the near time, too too much uncertainty ariund,  so now i try to fix some positive trading positions in ETH and Bitcoin and hold them, as more liquid assets.

I don't recommend to open a short position in crypto. Remember, that 80% of the time market is growing, plus making short deal,  you can gain no more than 100%(if coin someday worth nothing), but in long trade a sky is not a limit.
As for alts, I expect, that will correlate less with BTC price

Bear market is quite usual for Q1 of every year, I think. Then towards summer it starts moving up, then towards end of the year explodes, then new cycle :)

This is not the first time I read this hypothesis. Even Ian Balina thinks like you. I think you are comparing this crisis with 2013 crisis. I am afraid this could be true. But I am more optimistic about the near future of the crypto
1- More people are aware of the crypto with regard to 2013 and more people are investing.
2- More people are using crypto with regard to 2013 and the numbers are increasing each day.

Indeed short term investments or daily trading do not generate much profit, but our assets continue to grow. I also trade daily and from the profits 25% I will invest for the long term, I really like to do both.

The basis is the same, that in bitcoins, that the alts have therefore a dependence in the price movement. But the main thing is still the demand for the coin itself, so let's look at the fulfillment of this trend in just a month.

I think this will be the trend, the see-saw effect between Bitcoin and Altccoins is still in effect, that is why for now I have more BTC value than Altcoins because when BTC rally starts Altcoins will be aivalable at discount price in BTC but they will regain their value in Fiat but what I want is more BTC

We always expect that in fact the altcoin has many potential and effective, they improve the blockchain according to the trend and need of the user. ETH, NEO, XMR, ICX ... they have really created a large consumer community. However, the problem here is the "dependency" of Bitcoin. It is possible that the time and future adjustments for altcoin can stand on its own and beyond the popularity of bitcoin.

Bumping the price in the altcoins is normal but bitcoin bumps means that is correction or price growth of the complete market that is how we can take it mate. I would say we can wait for more than 2 months two months from now.
From June month onwards we use to see some price bump and fluctuation in the market bro.
Hope we may wait until June as the price graph indicates.

If you want to see the entire market going up, you should see a good rally from the bitcoin coin market, but if there are individual coins which have a good potential and are under valued ,it could make a move without the help of bitcoin market, if not the entire market will ride on either directions depending on the price of bitcoin and the news around the world.

The problem is that many are thinking that the bear market is only because of bitcoin but the truth is that the whole market has been affected by the bears, so not only bitcoin is not growing but altcoins are not growing as well, having a more positive sentiment for bitcoin will help altcoins in the long run but not immediately as we have seen many times, when the price of bitcoin goes up the altcoins follow but a few weeks later and sometimes even months later.

The main indication would really be entirely depending on bitcoin market.If we do see price increase and the entire marketcap gradually increasing it does really signifies that altcoin would be heading the same way too.In reality we do have similar question in mind on when price of alts would climb again.For now we are still on bear market and we wont even know on when it would end for us to see again a reversal market trend.

King bitcoin has to lead the crypto sector to the upside. It can happen any day, just need a trigger.

Not sure about the news and rumour has driven everything right now even the bitcoin market can be manipulated by all parties. But the only reason that gives a huge impact to the crypto right now is the google and twitter news about cryptocurrency advertisement.

A good news will become the only point for altcoin to go up again.

After numerous forecasts, everyone now looks at the last year and understands that this will be the last quarter of the year. It is then that growth will tear the entire market and we will again feel ourselves on the right green path and will profit from investment, and the sadness of the past months will remain.

I think the bear market will still go as far as a couple of months. I’m just not sure yet if it’ll extend to a year but I’ve heard some that says it will go as far as over a year. I don’t have a logic yet if it will still continue next quarter but we’ll see after this month.

It can be really difficult to know exactly what is going to happen in the market the best we can do is to speculate and while I will like to see an immediate recovery at the same time that is unrealistic and in the best case scenario we are going to see recovery in a few months but the scenario which the recovery takes a year or more is entirely possible.

That is exactly what you have to do. Alts are dependent of BTC and Ethereum, so untill they won't recover, altcoin market won't climb again.

Bear market will soon end, and the level of prices for coins for another three months at least will be on their feet. At the same time, let's see what coins will remain after this crisis and who will guess in their forecasts.

I think that closer to the summer, we'll still see the price of bitcoins around 5000. Then there will be a period of outset and growth by autumn. September-October will begin to be tightened to bitcoin and altcoins

Wait till the market is really in the uptrend. Now, it is more on the downtrend. Then, the market stabilization should last a very long time. Don't do things in a hurry. Look carefully before investing.
Good news about an altcoin doesn't really affect the price of a coin lately. But you can sometimes see a little pump and then a dump of a coin.

Not really summer. I'd say more like autumn - winter at least when we will see the markets turn around.

Sure you may see some small uptrends like the current one which is pushing bitcoin above $7k after its scary dip below $7k, but pretty much everyone acknowledges that this is not the start of a new trend.

We are still very much in a bear market.

Alts will climb as soon as btc climbs, which I think will start at the end of the year or start of the next.

This is the most difficult question as no one can predict what will be the price for tomorrow, next month or next year. We are doing only in a speculative guessing as what will be our stand to overcome this situation. Don't expect that this will bounce back easily and be patient to wait for it.

Many people are waiting for something all the time. We miss great opportunities because of our inaction. You can also earn money in a falling market. I see only "investors" around who are too lazy to work. But the crypto world has become cruel to such people.

I have already stopped predicting and just waiting. The main thing is that I have not started selling my altcoins.
