I am still messing with it but overall I have to admit it is a very nice unit.

These things are going for 1,000 to 1,400 USD on ebay which is pretty expensive. Why buy from eBay? They are available for 4 BTC now direct from the Avalon Store which includes DHL shipping from China. For next 10 days it will make you about 0.08 BTC per day, and if everything goes like before 0.05 the 10 days after that. If you do the calculation and substract the power it uses, it will never pay for self.

Regardless if you calculate the power or not it will never pay for itself with the way the difficulty is going up! The way mining is going with the difficulty going up by 40% every 10 to 15 days, currently you need just over 1TH/s to produce 1BTC a day. I going to bet if the difficulty keeps going up this quickly that in the next 8 to 12 months we may see the requirement for 1BTC get close to 1PH/s. |
