they are not censoring crypto searches, tweets, posts, etc. they are censoring ads that's used by the scummy people with fake icos and shit, if an ico is good they don't need fb ads because its well known inside of the crypto community, they are doing us a huge favor by not letting newbies get scammed and lose faith in crypto

this comes back to an important point , the way it was posted in the media suggested that they were banning everything and this i think is what most people found upsetting , on the flip side most of us read and also did not understand and also spread that they were banning crypto currencies altogether on these social media sites  . however what they are really banning is the ico ads and those annoying pop ups that mostly were not real anyways , so this action is also positive as it protects the true bitcoins.

Personally I'm happy that they are banning all related crypto topics/advertisements.. I was really tired about all those scammy advertisement, investment crypto programs, scams icos and so on.. Finally a way to stop them and avoid people to lose money.
If you are interested in Crypto, do your own research.. No advertisement needed.

If you really have such a point of view, then you are not at all knowledgeable about marketing. Look back and you will see how many useful and quality ICO failed to reach even the bottom cap due to the fact that they decided to save on advertising.

You are right. Not only it's not a bad news, it's a very good news. Every effort to stop scammers should be appreciated. There are a lot of scammers that are being advertised in social medias. It's great if scammers are not able to do so.

I agree with the fact that add for crypto ICOs are of benefit for any campaign otherwise they wouldn´t even come to the knowledge of investors, but the outside related add campaign could be impregnated with fake (scam) ICO while in the known community sites would be less probable that scammers had the guts to announce it, it ´s a good filter I think

We had similar news were some countries will monitor crypto and similar news to that, but people saw that as banning crypto in those countries.

If this things are the best way to eliminate scams and fake ICO's, then we have to support this movement. I think most people are upset knowing that advertisement is the best way to communicate investors. and it has big impact in market value as we all know, the more crypto investor's, the greater chance cryptocurrency pumps and generates more income.

Exactly, I really don't know anybody who goes to Facebook to find new ICOs anyway? Seems like going to McDonalds to buy a pair of shoes.

The cryptosphere is its own separate entity now, it is starting to become less and less dependent on traditional advertising routes as it begins to set up its own channels for the same.

I doubt their intention is similar to what you've mentioned. Google, Facebook or Twitter are not really concerned about their user's safety in anyway. Otherwise the recent Cambridge Analytica issue wouldn't have surfaced for facebook. I strongly think that they are bein forced to stop crypto related ads by the USA government. These companies are all USA based company and surprisingly no other company has issues such notification of banning ads. Also these kind of ads are a very good source of their revenue. Why would they take a hit on their revenue? Food for thought! USA government is playing a double faced game with the world.

Certainly this is done only for the benefit of people. But there are minuses from this too. After all, because there are fraudulent projects, all the crypto industry suffers, and this is not entirely correct.
